Fight the urge to get offended at situations and others.
TV producer Katie Souza reminds everyone that it is ungodly to become offended. As children of God, we should fight the urge of getting offended at everything happening and everybody around us.
“The bride is being called out on the front line,” Katie said. “We’ve got work to do, and we’ve got to be cleaned up and prepped up and ready to do it.”
We are the bride of Christ and we should be ready and prepared to be one with Him. But being offended is a problem, it is ungodly and it doesn’t please the Bridegroom. Many Christians are now allowing themselves to be offended at almost everything.
“The problem is that we have let ourselves become chronically offended. We are offended at everything… We’ve let ourselves become offended at everything and everybody.”
As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to be like our Father. We must always be mindful of our thoughts, our words, and our actions. One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit is being kind to everyone, and not being offended.
“I’m on a quest to watch every single thought that’s in my mind and every single word that comes out of my mouth. Let the words of my mouth and the thought and the meditations of my heart be pleasing unto you Lord. When we are offended and we’re speaking offending words and thinking offended thoughts, that is not pleasing to God.”
