Colchester CAP Debt Center
In an episode of Standing Together, Paula Goddard, debt center manager of Colchester CAP Debt Center (CCDC), shares stories of they help people achieve financial stability. CCDC is an independent charity that aims to help in relieving poverty in Colchester.
The organization that started in March 2013 aids financially struggling people to manage their finances and pay off their debts. They are using the specialist debt management skills of Christians Against Poverty, a national debt advice charity, to help people.
Paula explained how they were able to offer prayers to every client that they meet. They are amazed by how their clients who are mostly unbelievers allow them to pray with them during the darkest moments.
“Every client that we see knows that when we come into their home we will be offering prayer. It’s such a privilege to be invited into someone’s home that doesn’t know God and to be able to sit and offer to pray with them in their darkest situation. We are so privileged,” Paul said.
Paul has witnessed God moving in the lives of each of their clients by giving them freedom from the chains of debts. He brought change to every life of families and individuals who reached out to CCDC for help.
“God comes into each and every situation in those moments. And it’s so amazing to see the changing people as we go through on that journey,” she added.
She then encouraged everyone who is also struggling financially to seek help. If you are one of those people, know that you are not alone and that God is about to free you from your debts!
“If you are really struggling, do reach out to someone for help.”
