A former porn star and male stripper confessed that he once sold his soul to the devil when the world turned its back on him. But everything changed when he was about to commit suicide, and God came to his rescue.
Former Porn Star
Kevin Kirchen had a rough childhood. His mother left him when he was still young after his father died. He went to live with his brother when he was 16, and one of his brother’s roommates invited him to church.
There, Kevin met a foster family who took him in. But later on, the church encouraged the parents to send him away because of their daughters. The family listened to the church, and Kevin was back on the streets.
Homeless for months, Kevin finally found a place to stay in a gym. Then, he was invited to a college party where he met satan for the first time.
“When the devil appeared to me at the party, it was perfect timing for him,” he told The Christian Post. “I believe God knew my purpose was to become a minister and to help people and do these things that I’m doing now. But the enemy didn’t want me to do this. So he met me at a time where I felt not only God turned His back on me, but also the Church and everybody close to me.”
One of his friends at the gym took him to a bar where males strip for a contest. One night, Kevin and his friends decided to enter the competition, and Kevin won second place.
The winner was a male stripper at Chippendales, a male striptease show. He invited Kevin to audition for the show, which Kevin did. He got in and worked there for ten years.
“At Chippendales, I had women, money, power, and all these things, and I still felt empty inside. I was always empty inside. I was trying to fill myself up with drugs and alcohol and steroids because I wasn’t happy,” Kevin recalled.
One thing led to another as Kevin found himself joining the porn industry.
Kevin worked as a porn star for another ten years, but he felt even more depressed, suicidal, and empty.
New Man in Christ
So, one evening, he decided to end everything by killing himself. He went into an open field and put a gun in his mouth. But before pulling the trigger, he heard Someone say, “Don’t do it. I love you.”
Kevin knew that God was the One who called. So, after a few years, he left the porn industry and searched for a wife.
He got to meet Patrice on a dating app, and little did he know that God would use Patrice to reconnect himself to God.
After they married, Patrice took Kevin to their church, where he finally surrendered his life to Jesus.
After joining bible studies and spiritual mentoring, Kevin was a free man. He said, “Now, I am at peace with God. Now, I look at this life and the world differently because there are so many people that are lost. So many people are living on feeling good moments, whether it’s cars, money, houses, sex, drugs, rock ‘n’ roll, the internet, social media, followers, likes, fans, whatever it is, and they are wrapped up in that.”
“I have finally come to the point in my life where I’m saying what Paul said, ‘whether I live or die, it’s for Christ.’ I have a purpose. I’m only here to do what I need to do for God, and I know I’m meant to use my past to help others come to know Christ’s love, mercy, and forgiveness.”
He is now an ordained pastor and minister to the lost. Kevin has also written a book titled, “My Game, My Pain, My Purpose.”
