God Is The Ultimate Creator

Do you know that you have the mind of Christ? I know that sometimes we hear these things and we say these things, but we don’t necessarily understand how to access the power of what that really means in our life every day. So I’m a creative professional and I lean into the Lord creatively every single day. And as I have done that, I have found such peace and my work has been so much better.

So I wanted to just come on here today and pray over you that you would have access to the creative fabric that the Lord used when He was creating with His own voice. And He was creating the universe around you; the things that you touch, the things that you see, He was creating those things before our existence. He’s the Ultimate Creator. And I want to pray that over you today.

So Jesus, I just thank you that we have access to the mind of Christ and all of your creativity. I thank you for creative ideas and solutions. I thank you that we don’t have to struggle to find creative things in our life that will actually bring life to people around us and bring life to us. Jesus, I thank you for an open heaven over our mind today, that we would be perfectly aligned with you and with your mind, and what you think about us, and how you think. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Releasing Creative Glory

Part of my relationship with the Lord is writing music to Him and getting to encounter Him through these songs. And something that’s so cool is that He’s allowed us to create art and create things with Him, whether it’s a business or music or books or paintings, maybe even some dance. And we’re able to release our history with God through what we create with Him.

And what I love is that you can write a book about your experience. You could write a song about your experience. You could create a dance routine about your experience that you’ve had with the Lord, and the breakthrough that you’ve had, and that’ll be released to other people as well. It’s amazing how there’s these artists who have written these songs and we may never meet them, but those songs could be a core part of our relationship with the Lord. Those songs could be something that got us out of a really dark place in a dark season. And we get the opportunity to create that, too. You know, those songs for them, those books for them, you know, whatever it may be of that art that they’ve created with God, at one point, that was just an idea in their head just as you’ve had as well.

And I really believe that God has given his children the ability to create beautiful things that can release His glory into the world and to the lives of others. God is always about pouring into us to pour out to other people, to release His love, where we’re vessels of His love and His presence and His glory. And so if you have that in your heart, it could even be poetry. It could even be just, you’re someone who loves to encourage others, and it’s a way of using language to just bless those people around you.

Ask God how you can do that today or this week. And if you, you know, if it’s painting, if it’s a song or a book or whatever it may be, how you can release His love and glory and the testimony of Jesus through your art. Because the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy and it’s prophesying that God has done it once and He can do it again. And whatever the Lord has done before He can do it bigger and better, He can do it over and over again to everyone. And we want people to experience the love of God that we have experienced ourselves. We want people to experience the goodness of God that we’ve experienced ourselves.

And so I want to encourage you to take a part of your history with God that really taught you about His goodness, really taught you about His faithfulness. Maybe His love, His kindness, even the Father’s heart, the way that He allowed you to see that side of His glory and release that through your message to the world, release that through your day to day and the way you love others.

What I love, in the scripture too, is how it talks about the angels that are constantly before the throne. And the angels and elders and they’re casting down their crowns, and they’re saying, “Holy,” every time they look at the Lord. And they do it again, and they’re not just doing that nonchalantly, they are absolutely enamored with what they’re seeing every single time. They’re just in awe of the new facet of God’s glory that they’re seeing. And this has been going on forever, and they are just continually enamored with the goodness of God. And they’re overcome by His beauty and His wonder. And I love that we’ve had experiences as His children, throughout our lives of that presence of God and of our Father, but there’s so much more, and we can also release those experiences that we’ve had to other people so they can experience it as well. Because everything that He’s done in your life is transferable to other people as well.

And so I want to pray for you today, that a creative glory would come over you. That something creative from your inmost being, because you’re made in the likeness of your Father, would be released over you in any area of your life. Even if you don’t see yourself as a creative, that creativity of the Lord is in you because you’re made in His image. So I pray that that would be released over you and that there would be a grace for you to be able to create from the goodness of your Father and all that He’s done in your life. And even to prophesy through your creativity, and to prophesy through your gifts of what you want to see Him do in your city, your family, your workplace, and your nation. In Jesus’ name.

Freedom To Be Yourself

You know what term I hate? “Stay in your lane.” I think it has really good intention, and I think that I can understand the heart behind it, but what I believe is that we were created to be multi-faceted human beings. Oftentimes I’ve heard that saying, “stay in your lane” and I’ve thought, wow, I have to be either this way or that way. I have to be either really serious or the funniest girl in the room sometimes. And that’s just like too much pressure. And I think that God has created us to have this range. A range of personality, a range of emotions, a range of things that we’re interested in that can be polar opposites.

And so I just want to encourage you out there. If you feel like you’re stuck in this one lane, whether that be on social media, just in real life, wherever you’re at, at work, I want to encourage you that God wants to break that. We so often say, “don’t put God in a box,” but I think we really put ourselves in a box a lot. And I want you to feel empowered to break out of that, to be all that God has created you to be. To be the woman and man that God has created you to be, to go after everything in life that He has put on your heart, and those can be two polar opposite things.

I just feel like I want to pray for you to have people around you to encourage you to go after the things that you’re passionate about, and to see the different sides of your personality of your heart that God has created so beautifully, and woven you to be this amazing human being. I just want to leave you with that. You’re amazing. You’re more than just one simple thing. You have free range to go after God in whatever way you want to.

Let your imagination create a new beginning in your life and in the world

On the sixth day of creation God spoke these words, “Let us make man in our image after our likeness.” (Genesis 1:26). This race of beings would be a model and pattern of the Creator God. They would be the human appearance of God on earth. They were created to be a phenomenon, God shaping Himself in this being. God made this being to be a representative of Himself. They are human beings each with their own imagination.

Being made in the image of God carries several powerful illustrations.

Mankind is a model of God. He was formed to be a reference point for God. He would represent the truth that God exist in this physical spiritual being. She would be the display that declares the glory of God on earth.
Mankind is a pattern of God. Created in him were qualities similar to God, like love, mercy and forgiveness. These qualities shows that he is similar to God.
Mankind is a guide to God. God created this race of beings to bring themselves to Him. On this unique journey that He gave them, called life, God set a path before each one of them to discover Him, know Him and enjoy Him all the days of their lives. And each one of them would help the other find God. Each one of them would be a guide through their expereinces to bring others to Him.

But how does this created race express their God in such a way that is consistent with their creative purpose? I think the key is found in this word image. To be made (the Hebrew word for made is asah, which is the second most dominant word for create in the Bible) in His image simply means to have some of Him in us. We’re not exactly like Him but we are similar to Him. I think the dominant similarity is our imagination.

We are the image of God because we are beings with imagination. This powerful faculty that every human being has is the ability to see things before they exist. To believe things before they occur. To form things in our minds before we produce them with our hands.

Within our minds is the power to create concepts and form processes that can change the world and impact generations that have not been born.

Serve God through your imagination

With our imagination we can create reality, we can shape the future.

Why would God give us such a powerful ability and the freedom to do with it what we want to do? Why would God deposit imagination in us in such a distinctive way?

Because the greatest way that we can represent Him in this world is by serving Him and the greatest way that we can serve Him is by activating our imagination. One of the ways that we serve God is through our imagination.

Let me give you an example. My dominant creativity is writing. As I write the words of this article they flow from my imagination. As I write I serve God because this is the vision He has given me, to write to please Him and inspire others.

Through writing I’m a builder. I’m building the glory of God and building the human race. I’m creating a door for others to walk through and experience God. I believe that God is pleased with my service.

When you serve God through your imagination, whether it’s a written or spoken word, a poetic verse, a song, helping others to find solutions God is pleased with your service and with your imagination you are changing the world.

Let your imagination create a new beginning in your life and in the world.
