God Works Everything For Good

When we look back at scripture, we can see how God always works everything for good. And in the midst of all of those stories, you can look at Daniel in the lion’s den. You could look at Joseph being thrown in the pit by his brothers. You could look at Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fire. In all of those stories, there was a point and there was a moment where they could have questioned, “Was God gonna come through?” They could have questioned, you know, “Is God just gonna leave us here? Is He faithful?”

I feel like a lot of people in the church right now are in this season of, “Is God faithful?” In the midst of everything He’s done in the past, they’re kind of in this moment of being faced with their experience, the problem, whatever it is that might have happened, the circumstance. And they’re faced with this moment of, “Is God faithful?” “Is He who He says He is?” And there’s something so beautiful that we can trust and look at in scripture, that if you look at all of these stories, the Lord came through with a massive victory every single time. Every single time in all of these stories, the Lord brought them through to victory. Even to the point where they didn’t smell like the fire when they came out, and He restored a hundred fold to all that was lost.

And you look at Joseph and what the Lord did in his life. You look at David, and you look at Daniel, and look at all these people in the Bible who the Lord really brought them through to victory for His glory. And He did it in such a way that His name was magnified and everyone was in awe of, “Wow, God really does come through!”

And there’s something about that tension of the waiting; waiting for God to come through. And I feel like a lot of people are in that moment right now of tension. That might be you, you might be experiencing that, or maybe you’re on the other side of it and you can be a voice of encouragement to people in that tension. But if you are in that tension, I want you to remember to look back to your history with God. I want you to remember all of the things that God has done, and look at where you are now and all the things He had to do to get you to where you are in this season.

A lot of the things that we’re sitting in and standing in right now in this season of our lives, are things that we prayed for, things that we were hoping for in our future. Maybe you just got married, maybe you just had a baby. Maybe you just got your new job. There’s different things that you’ve been believing and praying for and the Lord brought you through to that thing. And I wanna encourage you that God is gonna be faithful in every area of your life; that in one place where He was faithful and you haven’t seen that yet, that He’s gonna come through. And all of the questions eventually get answered, whether in heaven or in this life. God will show Himself to be good. He’ll show himself to be faithful. And time and time again, we can trust that. We can trust the nature of God.

We can look to the scriptures and it talks about all the things that love is. Love is patient, love is kind. And you know, you go through all of that, and then you look at God describing Himself as love. So you can put the name of God in each of those slots and see how God is faithful and God is good. Look at all of that in 1 Corinthians 13. And so, be encouraged today. Go to that scripture. Spend some time with the Holy Spirit and put the Lord’s name in there. You could even put Jesus in there. Jesus is faithful, Jesus is kind, He’s long suffering. He’s with us in those hard seasons. He’s with us on those mountaintops, and the valleys low; that we don’t understand what He’s doing, but we will. And in the midst of all of it, He’s good and we get to worship Him and we get to give Him an offering of worship and love from the deepest part of our core. When we worship Him in those places of pain and we worship Him in those places of not understanding, there’s such reward for that. But also there’s a reward of intimacy that we get to experience in this life. When we press through and we say, “God, you’re still good, and I still trust you.”

I know that He who spoke is faithful and that God is not a man that He should lie. So I bless you today. Be filled with the knowledge of the goodness of God. Be filled with the knowledge of His faithfulness to you, that His hand is on you. The steps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord. And where you are is where He wants you to be. He is gonna lead you through to a beautiful victory.

Your Mayday Has Been Heard And Heaven is Responding

Beloved, I want to prophetically encourage you. Although the storm has raged its war, in this place called “New” and ‘Next” God has already released a supernatural calm. Heaven is voice activated and is responding to the distress call.
In Mark 4:35-39 The disciples followed Jesus into the next place not realizing that following him soon after they would be faced with a strong vicious storm.

The Storm After Obedience.

For some of you reading this article, you have obeyed and followed the leading of the Lord into a new place, new venture, a new ministry, new business, new project, new relationships, new connections, and you’ve obeyed what he’s asked you to do but it’s seeming as if as soon as you stepped into this place called “New” and “Next” without warning, trouble and adversity showed up, a storm came out of nowhere. God revealed the new place and what the next thing would be concerning your life and assignment and all its goodness but there wasn’t any indication of the spiritual warfare you would meet once you obeyed and stepped into this new and next place.

The Lord Will Never Leave Nor Forsake You.

As the disciples entered the ship, getting ready to move from one place to the next, a storm arose covering the entire deck of the ship, tossing them back and forth. Seemingly it appeared or one would have perceived, as if Jesus was not disturbed or bothered by all the things that occurred neither did he wake up from his nap. The bible said that he rested below deck in the midst of the storm, so it would also appear as if the disciples faced the storm alone and without Jesus. But the scripture reminds us Deuteronomy 31:6 to be strong and courageous. To not be afraid or terrified because the Lord our God goes with us; he will never leave us or forsake us.”

Use Your Weapon.

It wasn’t until the Disciples used their mouth and called in a mayday for heaven’s assistance. They knew if they were going to have a successful transition from one place to the next, they needed Heaven to intervene. They yelled; Lord save me. And in an instant Jesus woke up and rebuked the wind and the waves.

They didn’t allow fear to cause them to retreat to the place they just left. They didn’t try to turn the boat around, row back to land, as some of us would have done, they didn’t question if they heard Jesus’ right, they didn’t jump off the boat, they didn’t phone a friend to discredit the instructions Jesus gave them, they didn’t go find a life jacket or find the nearest lifeboat or look for a floatie, they called out to the one who headed the charge. The one that not only gives life but saves life.

When the disciples opened their mouths and yelled Jesus something supernatural happened. The storm stopped, it moved, it shifted, it ceased to exist. And they were able to continue to the next place.

Be Encouraged! Heaven is Responding.

Beloveth, we must understand that even in obeying God concerning our “Next” and our “New” we are going to be faced with adversity. But we must not retreat or question the voice of God, but we must stay and pray and declare the word of the Lord. Stay on the boat and use our weapon “the word.” Psalm 18:21 says that the power of life and death are in the tongue and those who love it will eat of its fruit. Our mouths can do something a storm can’t, and that’s get the attention of Heaven. When you open your mouth and declare the word of life, Heaven responds and the result of it is a breakthrough! Be Encouraged!

Feed On His Faithfulness And Be Fulfilled

God is faithful. His faithfulness is a fruit of the Spirit. It is a quality and character of God that will never change, it is who He is. When we get up each morning, He wrote, “this is the day He has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalms 118:24) The sun shines, the wind blows, and the seasons change. And this all happens regardless of our faithfulness, our moods, our relationships with others, and the side of the bed we got up from. Malachi 3:6 reads, “I am the Lord, and I do not change”.

Feed On His Faithfulness And Be Fulfilled

We are encouraged to feed on His faithfulness because He will never disappoint us, He never changes, He
never lies, and He is forever faithful. “Great is His faithfulness, His mercies begin afresh each morning.”(Lamentations 3:22-23) We should feed on His faithfulness to increase our faith, to trust and rely on Him, and to draw closer to Him. Thus, we follow His unfaltering, unfailing, and perfect example

We can learn from Christ’s example of faithfulness. He understands what we are faced with daily and He understands our weaknesses. For He faced all of the same testings we do, yet He did not sin (see Hebrews 4:15). “But take heart, be of good courage, He has overcome the world.” (paraphrased from John 16:33). This means in Christ we can overcome the world too. In our weaknesses He is strong and His grace is sufficient. And I am glad to boast about my weaknesses so that the power of Christ can work through me (see 2 Corinthians 12:9). This journey as Christians is never easy and we must never give up, even though sometimes we may feel that way. Do not follow your feelings, follow and feed on God’s faithfulness. Take one day at a time! God created the universe, the heavens, the earth and mankind one day at a time even though He could have done everything in one day, let us mirror and follow our Father’s example.

Surrender To Him

Feeding on His faithfulness requires surrendering your will for His and letting the Holy Spirit lead you. I can testify that I am working with the Holy Spirit and it is a work in progress as I wait on the Lord and defeat the devil. Revelation 12:11 reads, “And they have defeated him by the blood of Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.” God is merciful, He wants us to step out in faith and He will do the rest.

There are wilderness periods, dark seasons, and uncertain times. During the periods of swaying between faith, doubt, and unbelief we are encouraged to feed on God’s faithfulness. We look up, see His Presence, see His Power, and His faithful promises that are armor and protection (see Psalm 91:4). Focus on His goodness, His nature, and His character. His faithfulness never ceases (see Lamentations 3:23). And His Truth, His Word stands forever in heaven (see Psalm 119:89).

His Faithfulness: Final Words

Good news! I can guarantee you that He will never go back on His Word (see Isaiah 45:23) and His Word always prospers (see Isaiah 55:11). He never breaks a promise, He never changes His mind, and He never lies (Numbers 23:19). When God gives you a word, it always produces fruit, it accomplishes what he wants it to and it prospers everywhere He sends it (see Isaiah 55:11). His Word is nothing like the word of men, who can change their minds and break their vows. God’s Word reassures and comforts. You know God can be trusted, we can lean, cling, and rely on His faithfulness. Psalms 37:3 reads, “Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.”

Today, my prayer and declaration is for us to magnify the Lord in all seasons in our lives and for us to be faithful as He is faithful.
