A hero 73-year-old grandpa, whose legs were already weak, selflessly jumped into freezing cold water to save a drowning child.

Grandpa’s are lovable, especially children. There is just something special about the warmth that they offer children that would make them feel loved and secure. That’s why when the news about a 73-year-old grandpa risking his life to save a drowning toddler, it inspired and blessed millions.

In a video shared by South China Morning Post, an elderly man whose legs are already weak selflessly rescued a 1-year-old girl.
The video revealed that the elderly man was busy fixing over something in what seemed like a backyard. Then he heard the cries of the drowning toddler asking for help nearby.
Hero Grandpa
Apparently, the hole was two meters deep filled with freezing cold water. Hence, it would be dangerous for a 75-year-old to jump into the water. But nevertheless, the grandpa took action and did not hesitate to rescue the child. Even with his weak legs and fragile body, the compassionate grandpa immediately jumped into the water. And thank God, the little girl was rescued.

Soon after, several people flocked to the scene and also helped the 75-year-old. They hailed praised him for his selfless act and hailed him a hero. But for the grandpa brushed off the acclaims and said, “I was the only person there. If I hadn’t gone to rescue her who would?”

According to the report, both the 1-year-old and the grandpa are now safe. They were in a stable condition after a check-up in the hospital. Further, authorities acknowledged the elderly man’s heroic act. Many netizens also applauded him, and it’s evident with the video’s over two million views on YouTube.
