A couple shared the Gospel with a community of warlocks and witches for a decade by showing them unconditional love.
Unconditional Love
The husband and wife Guy and Tana Miller led a unique ministry in Salem, Massachusetts. It is a community deemed as the hotbed of witchcraft and spiritual activity. The two pastors planted Remix Church in the area in 2011 and ministered there for a decade.
In a recent episode of “The Playing With Fire Project,” the couple shared how they proclaimed the Gospel to the community.
“I was shocked to find out … there was only a couple, very small but faithful outreaches going on,” Guy said. “There wasn’t a lot of evangelical … witness in Salem, and I was blown away.”

Tana also noted that they clearly heard God calling them to go into Salem. When they first arrived there, they were surprised to see the damage done to biblical witness as extremist often comes to preach hate. This usually happens during the Halloween season when there are a lot of tourists. Some are even preaching that God hates witches and God hates gays.
So, they tried to break the division by building genuine relationships with those in the community. They met with all kinds of people including those who are identified as “mermen” and warlocks. They even built a relationship with their next-door neighbor who was the official witch of Salem. It was all thanks to the unconditional love of God.
“You know how we handled that? Unconditional love,” Tana said. “We wanted to meet everyone, love everyone, and get to know everyone personally, regardless of what they believed in.”
Their ministry in the area for 10 years made a mark on the community. Another Christian couple are wanting to go back to Salem and continue what Guy and Tana have started.
