A blessing from The Lord can take time. Ecclesiastes 3:11 speaks about everything being made beautiful in its own time. Just like certain flowers bloom in certain seasons, we reap certain blessings in certain seasons of our lives.
Understanding this concept can be quite challenging, especially in seasons where you can’t quite pinpoint the purpose thereof. Waiting seasons can feel long when it feels like all you’ve been doing is contending and sacrificing! In the middle of a dry spout in my life, I received a profound, yet simple revelation that got me through. It’s simply knowing that God is all-knowing and has a good plan for our lives like it says in Romans 8:28.
I began meditating on God’s word when God showed me the process and growth of a grapevine. He taught me the importance of pruning and how it can determine the quality of harvest in due time. I applied this concept to my life and realized how important a season of waiting can be. The ultimate truth to this matter is that we as Christians, don’t want to rush God’s work in our lives. How well you wait, can determine how well you harvest in the end. He knows best and trusting in His plans for us is the best thing we could do for ourselves!
Time: Verses Of Encouragement
I lean on these to encourage me through seasons of contending:
Galatians 6:9, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
James 5:7, “Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
In all things stay steadfast, and never give up. God has good plans for your life. Plans to prosper and plentiful harvest!
