A man prayed for a wife, and God answered him in the most unusual way. Six months later, he met the woman he was praying for.
A Man Prayed for a Wife
This man was praying all by himself on a dock facing a lake eighteen years ago.
Andrew inquired of God when he would meet the woman with whom he would marry and spend the rest of his life. Then something incredible happened. God said something. Not in a booming, thunderous voice, but in a still, personal manner. He said, “You will meet her in six months.”
Days and months passed before he finally met a woman in Gig Harbor, Washington, six months later. Andrew had no idea who she was. In fact, he was staying at a family’s home, where she had also been staying. She was heading out of the house and leaving just as Andrew pulled into the driveway where he was supposed to stay. That’s when he spotted her for the first time.
After Six Months
Andrew met her and spoke with her for around five minutes. Her name was Brittany. But he had no idea that this woman was the one for him.

A few months later, at a leadership conference in Toronto, he ran into her again and realized that this was the girl he had been told about. He gave her his phone number, but it was misplaced, and she never called him.
Amazingly, two distinct Kevins contacted them separately. Both Kevins had dreams about Andrew and Brittany meeting and getting engaged.
The First Phone Call
Andrew was eventually able to obtain his future wife’s father’s phone number from a friend, and the first time they spoke, they talked for 10.5 hours. They both received answered prayers, and they kept their relationship pure, not kissing until their wedding day.
They married a year after meeting and spent their honeymoon in Florida and the Bahamas. This testimony proves that God exists and works in mysterious ways!
