Cancer Healed

Three years ago, I was in Sierra Leone, West Africa at a tourist market, buying a dress for my daughter who was with me on that same trip. There were some ladies in the tourist market and one of them was was saying how she was in pain. And I asked her why she was in pain and she had a fever. And so I prayed for her. Her fever immediately left, the pain left. There was a second lady who had some pain in her legs, prayed for her, and immediately the pain left her legs and she was completely pain-free.

And they were saying something in the local African dialect to a little kid that ran off. And, the little kid, all of a sudden, a few minutes later comes running back with a woman. And he had this lady by the hand, and she wanted prayer. I asked her what the problem was, and she said she had cancerous tumors on her breasts and she was in a lot of pain. So I took her hands and I prayed and I commanded the cancer to leave, and I commanded the pain to leave. And all of a sudden she was completely pain-free. And I said, “Check where the tumors were and see if they’re still there.” So she puts her hand into her dress and starts feeling around and her tumors were completely gone.

So that same anointing that was with me and on me and in me in Sierra Leone, I release to anybody who has any form of cancer right now. And I just release the fire of God to consume the enemies of God in your body. And I command all cancer to be dissolved and eradicated in your body, in Jesus’ Name.

Healing The Sick

Today I want to encourage you with the fact that if you’re a believer in Jesus, you have the ability and the authority to heal the sick. Many times in church, we’re taught to pray for the sick, and there is a valid verse about praying for the sick, that the prayer of faith will raise up the sick when they’re anointed with oil in James.

However, scripture also says that you’re to heal the sick. So there’s a difference between praying for the sick, and healing the sick. Praying for the sick indicates that you’re asking God to do it. Healing the sick is you receiving the authority that He gave you to command sickness to go, or to command sickness to move.

So I believe that the church will see a lot more results in healing once we begin to heal the sick, and not necessarily stop praying for the sick, but really focus on you doing the healing versus you asking God to heal.

Is Divine Healing for Today?

We see stories in the Bible where divine healing is a natural occurrence in the everyday life of Jesus and in the lives of His disciples. There are amazing stories like Lazarus rising from the dead (see John 11) and the woman with the blood issue reaching out to Jesus and being made whole (see Matthew 9). These stories in the Bible give us faith for what impossibilities we may be facing today. Whatever impossible physical situation you may find yourself in, God’s divine healing is available for you. It has always been Jesus’ plan for his people to be healed and whole. Jesus knew the challenges we would come face-to-face with in this life and God had a plan from the beginning to save us and give us an answer for every situation we encounter.

Divine Healing

Many things may flood your mind when you read the phrase, “divine healing”. Divine healing is an unexplainable outcome of an impossible situation. It’s a result that shows that only God could perform such a miracle because it surpasses our human abilities and capacity. It is “healing through divine intervention as in response to prayer or because of faith”, as dictionary.com defines it. Ultimately divine healing happens when God intervenes in an impossible situation through an act of faith. The Lord’s Prayer says, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.” (Matthew 6:10) Sickness and disease are not present in heaven which shows we were never meant to live with them on Earth either!

Jesus Heals the Sick Woman

Take the story of Jesus and the woman with the blood issues. Matthew 9:20-22 says, “Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, ‘If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.’ Jesus turned and saw her. ‘Take heart, daughter,” He said, “Your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.’

This story reveals how this woman in the Bible with the issue of blood encountered divine healing from Jesus. There was no other way this healing could have taken place except from the one, she believed in, Jesus. No doctor, friend, or medicine could have healed this type of disease. For twelve long years, she had suffered and finally, she had been made whole. Her faith in Jesus and He as the healer made her whole. This was an extravagant act of love from Jesus to one of God’s daughters.

Jesus: Our Divine Healer

Jesus died to bring us back into full communion with the Father and this includes the health of our bodies. John 10:10 says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Life to the full includes living a healthy, long life – not being shortened by disease or sickness. Jesus wants to bring divine healing to your body and whatever battle you may be facing today. 1 Peter 2:24 says, “By His stripes, you are healed.” This act of love brings us the opportunity to believe that what Jesus did for us was enough for whatever impossible situation you may be facing. Jesus’ divine healing is available for you today.

Conduits of Jesus

God’s divine healing power did not disappear when Jesus went to Heaven. Jesus is alive in us today and wants to use us as conduits of Heaven to reach his people. We have the honor and privilege to partner with God to lay hands on the sick and see them recover just like we see the disciples do in scripture (see Mark 16:17-18). Jesus gives us His authority in Matthew 10:8 saying, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give.” Jesus even says greater works we will do in His name! Jesus says, “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father.” (John 14:12) We have the opportunity to pray for others today and see the same divine healing Jesus and His disciples saw while they were on Earth. Better yet, we get to see even greater miracles and divine healing! The whole purpose of divine healing is for Jesus’ sons and daughters to be made whole and for Jesus to receive all the glory and honor due to His name.
