Prayers to Bless Your Spouse and Their Walk With God

Pray is our greatest weapon in the kingdom of God. In our marriages, prayers to bless our spouses set us apart and equip our partners. I’ve outlined 3 prayers to bless your spouse below, meditate and declare them as your move about your day and watch God strengthen your husband or wife.

1. Prayer for Deep Love and Union

Our connection to the Father starts with knowing His love for us. Pray that your spouse is continually filled throughout their day with the knowledge and experience of God’s love for them. Pray that their spirit and mind are one with the Holy Spirit.

“The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one,  I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.”(John 17:22-3)

2. Prayer for Spiritual Protection

Take time to praise and thank God for the covering and authority we have in Jesus. Pray for protection of their mind with the helmet of salvation and the entire amour of God. Pray against any traps that may come into their path.

“The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen. “(2 Timothy 4:18)

3. Prayer for Boldness, Hunger, and Power

As you think about your spouse during the day, pray for increased boldness to come out of them. Declare that the Holy Spirit fills them; declare that they seek after the gifts of the spirit.

“that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,  so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.” (Ephesians 3:16-17)

Two teenage brothers from Virginia decided to fully surrender their lives to Jesus; both got baptized and were filled with the Holy Spirit!

On June 10, Colton Kelley shared a video of his two brothers Cason and Lincoln getting baptized in water and the Holy Spirit. Cason is 14 years old and Lincoln is 12 years old.

When asked why they wanted to get baptized, Lincoln replied, “Because I love Him so much and He’s done so much in my life. And there’s nothing greater than God.”

While Cason, the other brother, said, “Because He’s done so much for me and I just want to give my life to Him.”

Colton, the two teenage boys’ big brother, taught them how to hear the voice of God and what it means to follow Jesus. And while they were praying, the 12-year-old testified that he saw two angels beside them in the spiritual realm!

Then they went on to do the baptism in the bathroom inside their own home in Virginia. After filling the bathtub with water, Colton prayed before baptizing his two younger brothers.

Does The Bible Predict The End Of The World? Are We Really In The End Times?

With the presence and the blessing of their parents, Cason and Lincoln got baptized!

Lincoln went into the water first and was baptized in Jesus’ Name declaring a new life in Him. After which Colton then prayed again for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And indeed, Lincoln was filled with the Holy Spirit and fire! He was brought to tears as he was filled with God’s Presence.

“We love You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus,” their mother said after Lincoln’s baptism.

The same thing happened to Cason, the 14-year-old brother. He was filled with the Holy Ghost too and was brought to tears.

What an amazing encounter with the LORD! Indeed, the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these (Luke 18:16).

You Don’t Want To Miss This Powerful Pentecost Teaching With Andres Bisonni

The Fire and Rain of the Holy Spirit: Pentecost from Mount Carmel

Andres was born in Neuquen, Argentina.  He was raised in a Christian home and surrendered his life to Jesus at the age of eight. He moved to the United States with his family at a young age.  Before beginning his training to become a medical doctor, he had a supernatural encounter with the Holy Spirit that changed the course of his life.  In a university exchange program where he had returned to his country to study for six months, he found himself in the midst of a revival where he met the Holy Spirit. A Hidden Key to Walking in Holy Ghost Power

The Kingdom of God is not based on talk but on power (1 Corinthians 4:20). But how do we tap into that power? How do you position yourself to move in God’s “dunamis“—the power for performing miracles that opens the eyes of the lost to the love of Christ?

I am convinced if we want to see the book of Acts-like power manifesting in our lives, we need to understand the dynamics that unlocked and unleashed that power in the early Church. At least three of those dynamics are in Acts 1 and 2.

Imagine the scene, Jesus appeared to His disciples for 40 days, teaching them about the kingdom of God. After His impromptu seminar, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the Father’s promise. Jesus prophesied they would receive power when they were baptized in the Holy Spirit. He disappeared in a supernatural swirl, taken up into a cloud followed by two angels prophesying He would return in the same way (Acts 1:8-10).

The Power Of Prayer

What did the disciples do in response to this visitation? They obeyed the word of the Lord—they immediately returned to Jerusalem and found an upper room where they could gather to tarry in prayer. The Bible tells us the apostles, as well as the women and Jesus’ mothers and brothers “continued with one accord in prayer and supplication” (Acts 1:14a).

This wasn’t a 10-minute pre-service prayer meeting like we see in many of our churches today. This wasn’t souls crying out for prosperity. These were unified “pray without ceasing” petitions. They were made with strong devotion to seeing God’s will done in the earth as it is in heaven.

I don’t know how long this prayer went on—how many hours or days they petitioned the Father. I’m not sure exactly what words they prayed. I don’t know any more than what the Bible tells me, but I am certain it was the (James 5:16 AMP) level of prayer: “The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].”

Prayer Brings Revelation

Whether they prayed for a day, a month or 119 days before God revealed to Peter passages from the book of Psalms, again, I don’t know. But at some point, Peter—who first received the revelation that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the Living God—received another revelation from his heavenly Father:

“Brothers, this Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit previously spoke by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became the guide to those who seized Jesus.  For he was numbered with us and took part in this ministry… “For it is written in the Book of Psalms, ‘Let his habitation become desolate, and let no one live in it,’ and, ‘Let another take his office’” (Acts 1:15-17, 20, MEV).

At that point, Peter acted on his revelation and suggested they draw lots to see which of the remaining disciples who had walked with Jesus since the beginning and were witnesses of His resurrection should step into Judas’ role. The lot fell to Matthias, and he was numbered with the 11 apostles (Acts 1:16).

Revelation Brings Alignment

Peter’s revelation restored kingdom order. Jesus chose 12 disciples because 12 is the number of government. Judas betrayal led to an empty seat of governing authority. David prophesied, “let another take his office.” Once prayer unlocked this revelation and kingdom order on the earth was reestablished in the last verse of Acts 1, we see something astounding happen in the first verses of Acts 2.

“When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. There appeared to them tongues as of fire, being distributed and resting on each of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to speak (Acts 2:1-5).

Holy Ghost power fell upon them, filled them, gave them a new language and got the attention of the world. Souls were saved. The fear of the Lord came to every soul. And dunamis power was released. Specifically, the Bible says “many wonders and signs were done through the apostles” (Acts 2:43b).

Unlocking ‘Dunamis’ Power

From the first two chapters of Acts, we learn that prayer unlocks power. Sometimes it first unlocks revelation that sets the stage for power. It’s possible there is something out of alignment in your life that’s blocking the dunamis from manifesting.

Now, that doesn’t necessarily mean there’s sin. The disciples in the upper room were not in sin—they were in prayer. But there was yet something missing. There was something they needed to do to set proper kingdom order. There was a revelation necessary to open their eyes to an adjustment they needed to make.

If you want to walk in the power of God, pray. Ask Him for a revelation of anything out of alignment in your life. Ask His kingdom to come and His will to be done in your midst. Do like the disciples did. It’s time to lift up continuous petitions with strong devotion. Let’s see God move in and through you for His glory. Amen.

From The Cross To A Heavenly Throne

“I am in My Father, and He is in Me. If you have seen Me, you have seen our Father.”

With these words, a prayer, and a blessing, Jesus left dinner with His disciples to finish His journey to the Cross where He overlooked the plains of time with His words echoing inside them: “In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and He is in Me, and I in you.”

What mysteries were involved in those words! How could they have known until it was all made plain?

Leaving His table for the garden, He cried out to His Father with an untold agony for the strength to accomplish what followed. By an act of will He surrendered and in the next hours was seen bearing blows that were meant to be ours.

Forgiving our sins, for we know not what we do. Making a declaration of love, as we were engraved upon His palms as he hung on the Cross: “My arms and heart are always open to you!” Taking an irrevocable stand, as His feet were pierced: “I am with you always; I will never leave you or forsake you!”

Victory at the Cross

Absorbing death’s unfounded accusations against humanity’s original identity: Himself. proclaiming on humanity’s behalf, as life swallowed up death forever, there at the end of all things: “Death is finished! You have redeemed my life, O faithful God!”

Abolishing sin as He died, pulling it straight out of us and declaring, “You are my righteousness.”

Healing the fractured hearts of our earth’s nations. Pouring out into this world’s earthen vessels His very own heart. With plans to bring the liberty of His children to the cosmos.

From those heights where He was crucified, a rich note resonates across the plains underneath from depths of untold eons of love. A three-fold wave of rich red love, from His side and hands and feet, the blood of His brow, bruises, and bleeding body rushed down to sweep death’s ugly armies away, forever banished by Life!

Yet on the immediate horizon we see men and women seemingly still tattooed by death, rushing as if from the maw of hell itself to bring an end to the life and liberty of what God intends to be a glad world. What is the issue? Be it unto you according to your faith. Have we placed our faith in death as the Savior instead of the one who said, “If you believe in Me, you will never die, and if you die you will yet live? Do you believe this?”

This “army tattooed by death” is really sons and daughters who have forgotten who they are – The Image of the Divine – and have been deceived or never told of the love of our Father, the Word who is our Brother, and the Spirit of Love who is with us always.

These have yet to remember their Father and encounter the Heavenly Man. Who upon knowing this great and happy God –who so loves the world that He gave himself for it – would not be changed, and swept up by love into a happy ecstasy?

Divine Love is a Heavenly force that changes hearts. Strong and gentle. Fierce and quiet. Bruised Reed, he will not break you! Faintly Burning Wick, He will not quench you!

And to one who chooses the good portion and only necessary thing –to be with Him – He will not ever take this away. It is what he made you for.

Mary, He will never take Himself, His presence, or friendship away from you!

Love’s Power sweeps away sorrow, taking it on Himself, that we might be a people of joy, breaking like dawn upon the darkness, banishing it from within as He shines in our hearts with His marvelous light!

Here at the Cross, the apex of all time and its union with all things eternal, He brought to His people and all that has ever been created life, liberty, and happiness – our redemption and restoration to a realized union with Him. Valiantly, His victory cry spoken for all sounds throughout the ages:

“It is finished; you have redeemed my life, O faithful God!”

Who among mankind knew at Golgotha what Love had done?

His Eternal Processional

“I heard Him say, ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’ ”

In Christ, our Father reconciled a world – alienated from Him only in their own minds – to Himself. We have a revelation in Jesus: we have been projecting our own thoughts onto God all along, creating a being in our own image instead of surrendering to the Love that has always been there for us, and in whose image we have always been!

Three days after the tomb was shut, His body buried, the Secret was let out: The Lord has been with us all along; we have always been one with Him!

We are permanently and vitally united with Jesus, one Spirit with the Lord, and part of His Eternal Processional: proceeding from the Father, in the Son, with the Holy Spirit proceeding from us in our love, revealing the Son, embraced by our Father, encompassed in the love of Triune Divinity, forever. The old has gone. The new is come.

All are in Christ. He died on the Cross for all, and therefore all have died and all have become a new creation. All are in Love. The righteousness of God, resplendent light, shines forth from your heart, in the face of Jesus Christ – your face. You are blessed, beloved one. Dance in this Papa’s Love.

5 Ways to Attract the Anointing of God – Part I

What is “the anointing”?

Uncomfortable favor. That’s what she (Renee Evans, who with her husband, Joaquin, are our senior leaders at Bethel Austin) prayed over me the other day after telling her about my startup business. “Uncomfortable favor”. And I readily received the grace that was heavily imbuing that prayer – to attract the anointing!

I’m looking for that kind of surprising, awe-inspiring, hope-strengthening, chicken skin-producing, courage-enabling favor of God. I need His anointing to do those things He has put into my heart through encounters, dreams, whispers, lightning flashes from Bible, preaching and teaching and worship and prophetic moments at my church and elsewhere. The rhema word of God to my heart. Don’t we all?

So how do we attract this favor, this anointing, this gift of power and grace? Can we do anything that causes the heavy hand of our God to rest on us more and more, day by day? I want more of Him, and I know you do, too!

Here are 5 things we can do to see Him move more freely in us, through us, and around us, things which attract the anointing of God.

1.Give thanks for what He’s done and what He’s doing

Nothing welcomes Heaven to manifest like praise and thanksgiving. And it’s not hard to imagine why this is. Would you want to hang out with someone who was always griping at you about what you are doing, how it’s not enough, how you could do more, how unhappy they are with life, etc.? No, of course not, that’s no fun at all! It’s really hard to help people like this. It’s difficult to collaborate with them, since their attitude is only on themselves, and not on the possibilities of the moment.

This does not mean our grumpiness (if we are being grumpy; c’mon, let’s be real!) keeps Papa at bay, and distances Him from us. Far from it! Because He is always near us, always close, always ready to help, to encourage, to strengthen and empower us – if indeed our hearts are inclined towards Him.

Thanksgiving is the very house of God:

But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. (Psalm 22:3 KJV)

A habit of non-stop praise and thanksgiving is the door to uninterrupted enjoyment of His presence and power will attract the anointing. 

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. (Hebrews 13:15 NKJV)

2. Order our conduct in a new way

When we begin detecting and discerning what God is doing around us, when He see what He is up to, and join with Him in doing that, Heaven comes. His power is released. This is how we chart our path through life.

Jesus told us how to do this:

Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.” (John 5:19 NKJV)

But how do we do this, how do we know what the Father is doing, how can we see Him so that we can imitate Him? This is not difficult; Papa does not make it difficult! He puts it well within our reach, if we’re willing to look! So here’s how: in addition to living a life of worship and praise we put on the lens of sacrificial love and service. This is how we start discerning His works. He (the Father!) is reveling in the Presence of Jesus, in the environment of the Spirit, in the joy of Kingdom – are we? And He is loving on and serving those close to us 24/7 – are we? Let’s take a look around us, and focus on the people Papa has arranged to be near us. How are we doing in our love and service to them?

Now we can start ordering our conduct in a new way, following Papa’s express desire:

“Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; and to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.” (Psalms 50:23 NASB)

Our key relationships become hugely important as we develop our time management practices and our core values. What are your key relationships, and what is Papa whispering in your ear about your role of love and service in each them? (Hint: it will look a lot like Jesus’ ministry to others.) Focusing on these relationships will brings Heaven’s life-giving anointing to bear on your love-efforts.

3.“Cross over the chicken line”

I am quoting my dear friend Jim Evans, who is one of the pastors at my church ((Bethel Austin, https://www.bethelchurchaustin.com/). He leads a super cool ministry there called Activate (4pm on Saturdays), in addition to heading up the development of our Transformation Center. He uses this term frequently when challenging us to be brave in reaching out to people, to hear from God on their behalf and prophesy to them, to pray for their healing, etc. The idea is that we need to move outside of our comfort zones and get into the Holy Spirit “demonstration of power” zone. Jesus does not command the world to come to us for ministry, He commands us to go to the world with His ministry:

“But go…and as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” (Matt. 10:6-8 NKJV, emphasis mine)

Trust me when I tell you that this takes deliberate, thoughtful, premeditated action. You have to be looking for the opportunity to bring Jesus to a complete stranger. You have to make a commitment to Papa, saying, “Here I am Lord, send me. Use me. Make me aware of my opportunities.” Check it out! Do this, and the Breath of God will breathe mightily on you – and you’ll be attracting the anointing of the Father!

What Anne Frank Can Teach the Modern Church

What Can Anne Frank Teach Today’s Church?

My family and I recently visited the Anne Frank House and Museum in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It was very sobering for me to walk through the Secret Annex. I had read The Diary of Anne Frank several times in middle school, but to visit the warehouse where her family was hiding brought a flood of emotions. It shows the indomitable human spirit to do whatever it takes to survive and overcome, but it also reveals the savagery that humanity can show toward others.

During the tour, one can look up into the attic where Anne and the others in hiding would go look out at the city. Not too far from this location is the Westerkerk church. I couldn’t help but wonder what, if anything, the Christian church did to help her family? In her diary, Anne Frank mentions how the clock tolls from the church were comforting to her. She said, “I liked it from the start; it sounded so reassuring, especially at night.” But besides the reassuring sound of bells chiming, where was the church during these perilous times to feed, clothe and rescue her friends and family?

There is a sign at the Anne Frank House that says, “Silence is acceptance.” This struck me deeply, as some places in our world are seemingly on the verge of chaos. Christians are being martyred in the Middle East, children are struggling for air as their government is using chemical weapons on them. Rioting and racial tension are running rampant.

At the United States Holocaust Museum, there is a quote by Martin Niemoller, a German pastor during World War II. He said, “First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. When they came for the Jews, I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. And then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me.” I can’t help but ask if the Church today would speak up or remain silent?

Every Christian should know that God created mankind in His image, according to Genesis 1:27. This means that every person has value. When we are in Christ, we are reflecting Him to the world as we are transforming into His likeness according to 2 Corinthians 3:18. This is accomplished by the Holy Spirit.

Human Value

Every human being has priceless value as God formed each of us in our mother’s womb (Ps. 139:13). Just meditating on how intricately and beautifully He made us should draw us to prayer. But it should be motivating us to make sure no one is being treated unfairly. The Church should be at the forefront of loving everyone and speaking out against injustice and cruelty.

I think that we are guilty of being silent and that many Christians lack the courage the disciples of Jesus had after Pentecost. We are silent when we see the images of poverty from the slums of India. And we are silent by the image of the young girl posting pictures of her scars from cutting. An image of a child suffering in a war is alongside a picture of what someone just ate for dinner. And we keep scrolling.

Horrendous events and images no longer stop us in our tracks as we continue to scroll through our social media feed. Overloading our senses with images of where our friends are. Our society is over-informed but unmoving to act.

We have the convenience to close out our app and go on with our lives, unchanged in the moment. During World War II, groups of people were mocking, ridiculing and beating people in public, and others just kept walking by. In the 1800s, some people preached the gospel but bartered for slaves. This is tragic and should never happen again, but we are guilty of the same.

If you saw someone bullying someone else on social media, would you speak up or keep scrolling? Or if you witnessed a fight in public, would you call the police? Would you record it hoping that it goes “viral” on your YouTube channel? Or do you yell at the police for doing their job?

Again, when we are silent, we are accepting it, and by accepting it, we are allowing it to get worse.

What the world needs is a heart change. This can only come about by a real and authentic encounter with the risen Lord. As friends of God, we are to spread His love to all people and carry His kingdom everywhere we go. We need the courage that the apostles had after Pentecost.  It is an empowerment to expand the kingdom of God on Earth.

The Lord’s Prayer says, “Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven” (Matt. 6:10). When we share the love of Christ and His message of hope, the Spirit draws people to Jesus. Hearts are transforming. And as we walk in the authority He has given us, we are participating with Him to bring heaven to earth.

The positive news is that by His Spirit, culture is changing for His glory. And we must do whatever it takes to help a hurting world, showing love and dignity to all people.

The church is the light of the world and should expose the darkness. It must not be silent when things are wrong. The Bible is our source of truth as the Spirit of God empowers us to be courageous. We are always to be speaking up to save lives. Seeing culture transformed as the kingdom of God comes to earth through us. We must reveal God’s love to every human being, speaking life and destiny to them. Empowering them to see how much God treasures them.
