There are a lot of times when we might think our lives are a hopeless cause. We know the truth, but sometimes life jus gets to us, and we begin believing petty lies. We often get these ideas from people who hurt us and our circumstances, but often it is our past painful experiences. But be reminded, you are not a hopeless cause!
There is no such thing as a hopeless cause to God.
Things may be impossible for man, but with God, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37). If at this moment you don’t know what’s happening, the truth is God is at work! Even if you feel like there is no way out of your situation, keep declaring that “God is at work.” You may not see it now, but God will reveal His perfect plans.
David felt helpless when Saul was trying to kill him, but he chose to trust God. In Psalm 37:3-5, David writes:
“Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in His eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God, and you will dwell in the land, feasting on His faithfulness. Find your delight and true pleasure in Yahweh, and He will give you what you desire the most. Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust Him along the way, you’ll find He pulled it off perfectly!”
It’s okay to feel hopeless sometimes.
But don’t let the enemy keep you in that place. Rise above how you feel and trust God. Remember that you are a child of God!
It is a lie that you are not good enough. It’s a lie that you don’t matter. There is always hope in Jesus. He paid it all on the Cross – just for you. And if you are in an unfavorable circumstance right now, know that God’s not done – He is working. Declare this truth over your life whenever things get hard.
“Christ paid the price so that the blessing promised to Abraham would come to all the people of the world through Jesus Christ and we would receive the promised Spirit through faith.” –Galatians 3:13-15 GW
