The former “world’s hottest porn star” who is now a pastor shared how God dissuaded her in the midst of committing suicide. She said she heard God’s voice.
Brittni De La Mora was formerly known as Jenna Presley in the adult film industry. She was dubbed as Howard Stern’s “smartest porn star,” came second as a porn icon in Jenna Jameson’s Playboy TV reality show Jenna’s American Sex Star, and named as one of the world’s top 12 female porn stars in 2010.

Becoming ‘The World’s Hottest Porn Star’
The former porn star grew up in a life filled with abuse and neglect. Because of it, she became exposed to the sex industry at a very young age. At age 16, she started a stripping job. Later on she began acting in adult films.

Five years later, Brittni had appeared in over 275 films, making over $3 million. She became one of the most successful porn stars in the world. However, behind the highlight reel, inside she was dying. She felt empty and suffered from anorexia and depression. Furthermore, her addiction to alcohol and drugs got worse each day.
“‘I was really depressed…the drugs are the only thing that helped me get through the day because they just made me feel like I wasn’t in this little pit of depression,” she told DailyMail. “It gave me a little bit of energy and a false sense of happiness.”
Committing Suicide And Hearing God
Until 2010, Brittni slid further into depression because of her boyfriend’s death. The young woman decided to end her own life by taking large amounts of drugs. But while slitting her wrists, she suddenly heard a distinct voice.
The voice told her, “Turn the lights on and put the scissors down.” Right then, she knew it was God.
“Had God not spoken to me that evening, without a shadow of doubt, I would have taken my life that day,” she testified.
That same night, she called her Christian grandparents. Her grandfather drove for two hours and took her to church. That’s when she decided to commit her life fully to Jesus Christ. However, her troubles didn’t end there.
Encountering God Again
Once again, Brittni encountered an abusive relationship and re-entered the porn industry. About three years later, God met her again while on the way to shoot a porn scene. She came to read a Bible verse in Revelation 2:20: “Nevertheless, I have this against you: you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching, she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols.”
“That was my lightbulb moment, I started to cry and I apologized to God. I didn’t understand that this is what I’ve been doing all these years,” she narrated.
Since then, she quit the porn industry and never went back.

Porn Star Turned Minister
Today, she is married to Pastor Richard De La Mora. And currently ministers to young adults. She travels the country to share her story of redemption and only seeks approval from God. However, the now-minister admitted that “her past continues to haunt her.”
“I’ve made decisions that have repercussions that will last a lifetime. And when I have children old enough to go out into the world, I have to explain that their mom was a porn star,” she said.

Further, she added, “People will always talk. I’ve seen the ‘Jenna’s gone from nude to prude’ stories. I just know what I am called to God. Nothing stops me from doing what I know God wants me to do now.”
Then she concluded, “My big goal now is just to let people know there is a God who loves them no matter what they’ve done.”
