Jesus Culture singer Kim Walker-Smith teaches worship leaders what true worship is.

The worship leader recently posted on her Facebook account powerful teaching about worship leading. She is addressing all the worship leaders and emphasizes what true worship is all about. It’s not about our talents, but it’s about our passion for Jesus and our passion to lead others to that same zeal.
“This is true worship,” she said. “Anybody with talent can get on a stage and sing a song… But not everyone gets on a stage and helps love, and lead people into transformation, and freedom, and breakthrough, and encounters with Jesus.”

Worship
It is what happens in our hearts. It’s not about our performances on stage; it’s all about our passion.
“Worship is our hearts on fire with passion for Jesus and it’s leaking out and inviting people into that passion, to that moment, into an encounter.”
Kim also quoted a statement of Bill Johnson that stuck with her and became a part of her core value as a worshiper.
“You can tell who the most extravagant worshippers are because they’re the ones who know how much they have been forgiven,” Pastor Bill said to her.
Lastly, she emphasized that worship is about serving Jesus Christ by serving others.
“Who we are as worship leaders and what we’re called to is not just to make something just pretty on stage. We are here to serve the body of Christ. And we serve Him best through love and through passion and through hearts that are on fire for Jesus.”
