Christian singer Moriah Peters and lead singer for King and Country Joel Smallbone were married in 2013.
July 10, 2019, Moriah uploaded a sweet photo of her and her husband Joel on her Instagram account showing the couple celebrating their anniversary on the beach.
She also shared a funny moment with a woman who couldn’t believe they were celebrating their 6th wedding anniversary.
“When we told the woman at our hotel front desk that we were celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary, her response was familiar,” Moriah said in her post.
“You’re too young to be married for that long!” said the woman at the front desk.

Moriah has been very transparent about the highs and lows of a marriage, not shying away from showing the struggle that accompanies the good times. She shared that sometimes it’s painful when you want to show your best self to your spouse but they see the good, the bad and the ugly.
“I see it as a head start on the refinement process. The word “refinement” gets a bad wrap.” she said. “But if a mirror reflects the insecurities that need healing, a spouse shows the strengths that need celebrating,” she added.

Moriah and Joel admitted in ‘I Am Second’ that their marriage, just like many others, is not perfect, but it’s totally worth it and with God at the center, they can overcome anything.
