Disney Star Joshua Bassett Shares God’s Love At Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

Disney Star Joshua Bassett shared God’s love and talked about his Christian faith during the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

GOD TV previously reported that former “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” star Joshua Bassett publicly proclaimed his rekindled Christian faith and got baptized at Bethel Church last month. Since then, he has known about how outspoken he is to proclaim the message of God to the public. He even uses his God-given platform to share the Gospel.

Joshua often shares Christian messages on his Instagram account with over 2.5 million followers. He recently even sang a song with lyrics inspired by the Scriptures. On March 4, during the recent Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, Joshua again used the spotlight to glorify God and share his love with the people.

Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

As he was receiving the Favorite Male Star award, he gave thanks to Jesus Christ after giving thanks to his fans and colleagues. Joshua then delivered a powerful and encouraging message to everyone watching. He said that there’s a God who loves everyone.

“There are a lot of people here who are burdened, broken-hearted, and have been beaten down by life,” he said. “I’m here to tell you, for those of you who’ve lost hope, there’s a very real God who loves you more than you will ever possibly know. His promise is peace and my testimony is my healing.”

Sharing God’s love

He then continued to share a Bible-based message that inspires everyone to love one another.

“Remember: Forgive quickly, love freely, and walk courageously. Love always wins in the end.”

No matter what platform we have right now in our lives, remember that God has given you that platform for a purpose. That purpose is to glorify His name and to proclaim the Gospel. Let us pray that Joshua will continue to have that burning passion and boldness for Jesus Christ. And that no matter how people persecute him for standing for his belief, he will still remain strong in his faith.

Disney Star Gets Baptized At Bethel Church After Publicly Declaring Rekindled Faith In Jesus

A Disney star recently got baptized at Bethel Church after he publicly declared his rekindled faith in Jesus Christ.

Joshua Bassett has made his name in the entertainment industry for his role as “Ricky” in Disney’s hit film “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.” Since 2020, he has released three singles.

Joshua grew up as a Christian but later on lost his faith. He publicly revealed that he was sexually abused as a child up to his teenage years. The 22-year-old actor and singer has also opened up about his struggle with anxiety and depression. However, in a Twitter post on January 5, he publicly declared that he has rekindled his faith in Jesus Christ.

“Jesus Christ is the only way. His death and resurrection are historically documented. turn away [from] hate, seek forgiveness, and come home to Him.”

That post was followed by other Social Media posts detailing some of his encounters with Jesus Christ. On the evening of February 12, Joshua got baptized at Bethel Church in Redding, California. He also took to his TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram accounts to share a clip from that night. In the video, he is seen sharing his declaration of faith.

“My name is Joshua, and long story short, I grew up Christian, and I ran the other way as far as I could go in pursuit of ‘truth’ and that only ended in addiction, depression, suicidal ideation, eating disorders, etc. And no other teacher gave me anywhere near the peace that Jesus Christ did. And I’m here to publicly declare him as my Lord and Savior,” he said while on stage.

Disney Star Joshua Bassett Has Turned To Jesus; “Jesus Is The Only Way”

Disney star Joshua Bassett has publicly declared his faith in Jesus and tells everyone that He “is the only way.”

Joshua is best known for his role as “Ricky” in Disney’s High School Musical: The Musical The Series.” He played alongside Olivia Rodrigo, who was his onscreen partner.

But he stirred up his fans with his recent post on Twitter. On January 6th, the singer and actor declared, “Jesus is the only way. His death and resurrection are historically documented.”

The 22-year-old even invited his followers to “come home to Him.” “Turn away form (sic) hate, seek forgiveness, and come home to Him.”

His tweet has gained over 10 million views and has received different feedback. Some tried to question him and even wondered if his account was hacked, because it would not be something he would say. But fellow Christians stood up for Joshua and encouraged him in his Christian walk.

“My faith is certain”

According to journalist Caleb Parke, the “Different” singer shared more of his experiences and encounters with Jesus in his Instagram story.

“Tonight, at church, I prayed to God,” Joshua wrote. “So I will know for certain that you are Jesus, and He is the only way, please send someone to touch my back, and I will shout it from the rooftops. Moments later, two people came up behind me, saying that God put in on their heart to put their hands on me and pray.”

He added, “His love is great, and my faith is certain. Praise be to God forever and ever in Jesus name.” Then, he also posted another experience with God. It appeared that he asked God for a sign a few months back. “Send me a sign when I write the truth,” he shared. “I typed, ‘Jesus is the way,’ [and] nothing happened. Then I added, ‘Jesus is the *only* way,’ and the light turned on in my living room.”

Moreover, Joshua had more encounters with Jesus which were “richer and more vivid than anything in my life.” But he will reveal it soon.

Although many were concerned about Joshua’s newfound faith, he assured them that he is better than he had ever been. “The peace I feel is far beyond what I thought possible,” he said.
