The world can be a tough place but you can keep moving forward, because the Lord is with you.
Tough World
Kris Vallotton narrates a scene in the movie Rocky to encourage everyone to never quit. In the scene, the main character, Rocky Balboa, was planning on returning as a boxer after years of resting. But when his son knew about it, he was against it.
He then started telling his dad about his struggles for the past years as he lived under the shadows of his dad. That he got what his job not because of what he can do, but because of who his dad is. And now that Rocky is about to be in the spotlight again, he’s afraid that people will just make fun of him.

Rocky then encouraged his son to keep moving forward regardless of how tough this world may be.
“The world is not all sunshine and rainbows, it’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are, it’ll beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it… But it is not about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward,” Rocky said.
Keep Moving Forward
You have to live your own life, you have to know your worth. Stop living under the shadows of somebody else, your life is in your own hands and it’s up to you to fulfill the purpose God has for you.
“How much you can take and keep moving forward, that is how winning is done. Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth… But you go to be willing to take the hits and not point your fingers saying, ‘You are not where you want to be because of him or her or anybody else.’ Cowards do that and that is not you, you’re better than that.”
The world is a tough place, but we can move forward because Jesus Christ is manifested in us. No matter what this world throws at us, our God is greater.
“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.”- 2 Corinthians 4:8-12
