YouTube Vlogger Jimmy Darts Shares Story Of Salvation & Generosity

YouTube vlogger Jimmy Darts shared his testimony of salvation and his story of generosity.

Jimmy Darts, is a BSSM graduate and a social media influencer with over 2.57 million subscribers on YouTube and 1.2 million followers on Instagram. His video contents revolve around kindness. In his videos posted on his YouTube channel, he is often seen going around to bless random strangers. He is doing this to show the love of Jesus Christ.

In an interview with Kris Vallotton, Jimmy, whose real name is Jimmy Kellogg, talked about his story. He was 18 years old when he got to know Jesus Christ after praying for his burnt sock one night after coming home from a party. The following morning, his sock was miraculously repaired of any damages, it’s like it’s brand new. At that moment, Jesus spoke to his heart.

“I’m not mad at you, I just want to be your friend,” Jimmy heard Jesus speaking to him.

Kindness & Generosity

After then, he saw a Billy Graham video about heaven and hell and got convicted. That’s when he finally gave his life to Jesus Christ. He was then healed from his horrible scoliosis miraculously after a man from church prayed for him.

“He wasn’t telling me to live a certain way, but He actually ripped out my heart and gave me a new heart that desired to live His way. I don’t feel obligated to live righteously, I feel like I get to live righteously.”

Jimmy’s salvation birthed a heart of kindness in him, he fell in love with generosity and that’s what he did afterward. He used his YouTube channel to show the generosity of Jesus Christ to everyone. Jimmy has helped many people in many different ways.

YouTube Videos

In one of his videos, he spent a day with a homeless man he saw on Miami beach. Little did he know that the man was suicidal before he met him. On their way home, the man wept and opened up to Jimmy about his struggles. He then posted the video on his social media accounts and asked his viewers for cash donations for the man.

Within just one day, that homeless man received over $30,000 from many generous people. Today, he went back home to his country and now has a home that could call his own. Jimmy and his followers were used by God to save and change the life of that man. There are more people who were blessed by Jimmy and his followers because of his videos.

“Deep down in everyone there’s a desire to do what Jesus did and live the way He did. Some people get a bad taste in their mouths because they see it misrepresented. But when you really just see true love displayed, no matter what you believe, no matter where you’re from, people want to get involved. That’s why we see people show up and donate.”

God’s Love

God saved Jimmy and used him to be an instrument of His kindness. God is also using you right now, do not underestimate your power of generosity because that can change lives. It doesn’t have to be grand, be kind in your own little way, bless others when God blesses you and you’ll see how you’re being an instrument of God’s love to other people.

Meeting Jesus

Kris Vallotton tells everyone that we can meet Jesus in our everyday circumstances. He quoted Michael Angelo saying, “I saw the angel in the stone and I carved to set it free,” to emphasize his message. In everything that we can do, we can see Jesus in everything. It just depends on how we see our circumstances.

“The difference between delivering angels and chipping stone is what you see in the rock. So one guy is chipping stone… One guy’s flipping burgers and the other guy is training to change the world. What’s the difference? It’s not in what they’re doing, but what they see in the stone,” Kris said.

Everyday Circumstances

Many of us are waiting for our lives to start, but the truth is, our life has already started.

“Get a life. You were missing out on life; wasting out on life waiting for life to start. It’s already started,” he emphasized.

Jesus can use our circumstances, the people around us, and even our jobs to show Himself to us. He can use anything to encounter us.

“You got to have a yes. I think this is really huge, I don’t care what it is you’re dealing with… what if Jesus put you there? What if Jesus met you there every day? What if He’s your boss? What if Jesus is in your boss? Like what if the Jesus that you’re supposed to have an encounter with is living in somebody that you’re so familiar with that you can’t find Him?”

The World Can Be Tough But You Can Keep Moving Forward

The world can be a tough place but you can keep moving forward, because the Lord is with you.

Tough World

Kris Vallotton narrates a scene in the movie Rocky to encourage everyone to never quit. In the scene, the main character, Rocky Balboa, was planning on returning as a boxer after years of resting. But when his son knew about it, he was against it.

He then started telling his dad about his struggles for the past years as he lived under the shadows of his dad. That he got what his job not because of what he can do, but because of who his dad is. And now that Rocky is about to be in the spotlight again, he’s afraid that people will just make fun of him.

Rocky then encouraged his son to keep moving forward regardless of how tough this world may be.

“The world is not all sunshine and rainbows, it’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are, it’ll beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it… But it is not about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward,” Rocky said.

Keep Moving Forward

You have to live your own life, you have to know your worth. Stop living under the shadows of somebody else, your life is in your own hands and it’s up to you to fulfill the purpose God has for you.

“How much you can take and keep moving forward, that is how winning is done. Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth… But you go to be willing to take the hits and not point your fingers saying, ‘You are not where you want to be because of him or her or anybody else.’ Cowards do that and that is not you, you’re better than that.”

The world is a tough place, but we can move forward because Jesus Christ is manifested in us. No matter what this world throws at us, our God is greater.

“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.”- 2 Corinthians 4:8-12

Kris Vallotton Speaks Up About John MacArthur’s Comment About Beth Moore

Leader and author Kris Vallotton speaks up about John MacArthur’s comment to Beth Moore that has sparked a lot of attention.

This weekend, a controversy sparked up between pastor and author John MacArthur and preacher and author Beth Moore. Pastor John was celebrating his 50 years in ministry during the event “Truth Matters Conference” when he made a comment about Beth. He and other panel members were asked to react to the word “Beth Moore” and John simply said, “Go home”.

John then went on to comment about women preachers saying, “The church is caving into women preachers.” His controversial statement has received many reactions but most were in disagreement with the anti-social justice activist.

Kris Vallotton’s thoughts

Most recently, Bethel Church’s associate leader Kris Vallotton posted his thoughts on Facebook. He started by describing Beth Moore and Paula White as some of the “finest leaders of our time” then apologized to them.

“First I want to apologize on behalf of male leadership to Beth and Paula. I am sorry for John’s disrespectful attitude and comments towards you. And I want to reassure you that he is not representing the vast majority of us men in leadership who love your ministry,” Kris wrote.

He then continued, “I want to be clear that John is misrepresenting the heart of God, the Scriptures, the ministry of Jesus towards women, and the history of the church.”

Kris chose to break his silence about the issue because of the women in his family and in influence.

“I am certain that this post will create some push back, but as a father to two daughters, a daughter-in-law, and a grandfather to 5 granddaughters…and a spiritual father to thousands of daughters all over the world; I simply can’t remain silent while a leader abuses them,” he said.

Choosing relationship over agreement

This controversy between well known Christian leaders shows how easily it is to disagree on an issue. However, we can choose to love one another regardless. We may disagree but we can let the love of God within us prevail.

Allowing disagreement to separate is an insult to what Jesus paid for. It would be silly to let an issue like this become a stumbling block to our faith. Let’s remember to pray for all of our leaders!

Remember: You Are Saved Not to Condemn But To Love

Have you ever tried to share the Word of God to those who are living in sin? Did you share the love of God instead of condemning people? When was the last time you sincerely listened to someone story and tried to understand their struggles?

As much as we want to show the people the truth behind their struggles or sin, we need to remember that God did not save us because we are holy and pure. He did not save us because we are spotless. God rescued us because HE is holy, pure, spotless and we were in need of His grace.

And that’s how we should treat our brothers and sisters who are also struggling. God poured out His love and grace to us from the moment we realized that we need a Savior.

God never condemns us.

Like a Father who longs for His children to come back in His arms, God wants to embrace all of us especially in times when we cannot accept our failures and mistakes. He loves us even in times when we can’t love ourselves. That’s how God cares for us.

So if you have friends who are living in sin, don’t push them away by condemning them. Treat them how God treated you. Don’t pressure them to change; you can never change a person. Only the love of God can transform a person’s heart. Be Christ’s love to them and let the Holy Spirit do His transformative work.

If you’re having a hard time sharing the truth with your friend, Pastor Kris Vallotton shared in his blog, “7 Ways To Be A True Friend To Someone In Sin And Shame”. He cited practical ways that will teach you how to love them the way God loves them.

Be humble by remembering where you came from.
Love people for who they are and not for who they could be.
Don’t parade your accomplishments in front of the broken.
Give people hope without requiring them to change.
Be empathic; listen from the heart without feeling the need to correct their opinions.
Show an interest in their lives.
Often people in shame live in fantasy to numb the pain of reality and give themselves hope – It’s important to understand that when you live in shame, fantasy is where you sustain yourself until you find a place of truth and walk out. Find a way to give people a sense of hope before you destroy their fantasy, as fantasy often numbs the pain of a terrible reality.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

We are not the judge so we do not have the authority to condemn. God wants His children to show the world who He truly is through how we love.

What If Young Girls Don’t Have A Daddy?

I am one of those people who doesn’t have a dad present in their life. Up until last year, I didn’t think it really bothered me. Then I realized that, apparently, I masking the true feelings I had deep down inside of me. Not having a dad wasn’t something I normally stopped to think about it until things start to get thrown at me. I realized part of my reason for always hugging people isn’t just for those people, but rather for me as well to fill the void of not having a dad present.

I didn’t realize until last year, that I really was missing an important piece in my life and it had truly affected me. I now know that I actually needed that love, affection and encouragement from a dad and that maybe that is the source of my low self-esteem and self-worth. I never had anyone to affirm that for me. I am just thankful that I started going to church on my own at a young young age and I knew morally, as well, that “searching for love in all the wrong places” wasn’t what was best for me. I had vowed at a young age that I would never stoop that low.

God has seen me through each step of the way in my life. Without my Heavenly Father, I don’t know what I would have done or what could have happened since I didn’t have the re-presence of an earthly father. Sure, I may still struggle from time to time with wishing I had an actual dad present in my life (even a dad figure that I could hang out with), but that doesn’t mean God isn’t there or He isn’t faithful. I know He is. It doesn’t mean God hasn’t been right there beside me each step of the way, even in the midst of my sorrows, troubles and trials.

Because of my upbringing, this video of Kris Vallotton (Bethel Church) below, really resonated with me.
