“He is your calling. This [pointing to the stage] is not and it would never be. Even if you do this, it will be overflow. If this is your calling, you’ll go home empty every time and you’ll be mortified when you go to bed at night because He didn’t come. And you wonder where His presence was.”

Ultimate Calling

As Christians, we often question the Lord’s calling and say things like, “You told me to do this, you called me to this, where were you?” But we don’t realize that our original and true calling is Jesus Christ. Our ultimate calling is not our leadership nor our platform, but our highest calling is to seek first the Kingdom of God.

“People like that walk away from the Gospel because they didn’t know Jesus. They wanted to do something great for Him and maybe it started in an innocent way. They did what they knew but they never knew better because they didn’t go here [pointing upwards]. They waited for the applause, the reception, they waited to look at a room to find out if they were doing the thing.”

When we seek God first and His Kingdom that overflows into our leadership. We are called to steward the people whom God places in our lives as the love of God that overflows from within us.

“That’s why we got stadiums filling where we have lots of energy but not high praise. And there’s not even any discernment anymore about the difference between the two. There’s a big difference between oil and adrenaline. But if you don’t know the difference, you don’t know the difference.”

Christian Sorority Leader Denounces Group After Receiving A Dream From God

A Christian sorority leader decided to denounce the group after God gave her a dream.

Growing Up Loving Jesus

Mercedes Vaughn grew up in a Christian home. She loved Jesus as a child and knew God’s word growing up. Her mom recalled how she loved to pray and often attended the vacation Bible school as a little girl. Even as a teenager, her relationship with God was her focus, until she went to college.

Denounced Sorority

“I was never ashamed of God,” she recalled. “I never mind praying, I was me..  Never ashamed to tell people how much I love God.”

Joining A Sorority

But something changed when Mercedes went to college at the University of Arkansas. During her college years, her faith was tested. She wasn’t used to the freedom and the life away from church. She was introduced to new things and opened herself to situations that she thought were harmless.

Mercedes joined a sorority after she and her best friend got curious after seeing some of the girls out and about. It gave her a sense of pride as a member of the organization. Later, she became part of the sorority which included rituals required to join the group. Although she vowed to keep her faith in God, she slowly compromised on some things.

A Dream From God

One day, Mercedes was attending one of these rituals and recognized what sounded like the Bible. She later learned they had taken the words from 1 Corinthians 13:11 and edited some parts to align them with the sorority. At that point, the Holy Spirit convinced her that something was wrong.

Later, Mercedes received a dream from God that caused her to denounce her membership with the sorority.

Ministry Leader Speaks Against Pornography

Men’s ministry Promise Keepers leader denounces pornography, saying people should run away from such sin “because it will separate us from God, from our kids, from our wives.”

Pornography Use

The use of pornography stats is no joke, even for Christians trapped in addiction. That is why the Promise Keepers leader urges people to run from their sinful inclinations.

During the Promise Keepers Marriage Summit 2022, ministry chair and CEO Ken Harrison shared an alarming story from a group of guys. These guys admitted they “couldn’t help themselves” regarding pornography use. Then the guys reasoned that “God created them that way,” referring to a man’s heightened desire for sex.

“I said, ‘no, no, no,'” Ken remembered. “God didn’t create you to be that way. God created you to have an intense longing for your wife. For the two to become one flesh. Sin created that same longing for every other woman.”

Flee From Sexual Immorality

“The Bible says we must flee from sin; it’s an action,” he explained. “It’s a running in terror from it because it will separate us from God, from our kids, from our wives.”

Further, the ministry chair added how men “believe the lie that they are beholden to their sexual desires.” But that is not what the Word of God says about our sinful desires.

Ken highlighted 1 Corinthians 6:18, where Paul the Apostle urged believers to “flee from sexual immorality.” Then he stressed, “The Bible didn’t tell you to flee from lustful desires when it couldn’t actually happen. You can’t get there in your flesh, you can’t get there by trying harder. You can’t get there by feeling guilty. But you can get there by giving your life over to Christ.”

Also, Ken addressed women’s use of porn. And that the reason why they do it is not because they enjoy it, nor any sort of fulfillment. But rather, they use it as a means of escape from pain. Because they have “been sexually traumatized, or abused, or trafficked” at some point in their lives.

“Those people who are making that movie are not doing it because they’re your friends,” he said. “They’re doing it because every time you click on a mouse, they make more money to exploit more women.”

A former Planned Parenthood Manager became an advocate for life, leading as a Director of the March for Life campaign after following God’s conviction.

Former Planned Parenthood Manager

Sue Thayer was a long-time manager for Planned Parenthood. But she quit when the webcam abortion started in their facility.

Two years later, Sue felt God’s calling within to do something about abortion. Then during the fall of 2011, she visited the website “40 Days For Life.” And as the last day of signing up for the vigil was approaching, she had an out of body experience where she had signed up online and hit submit. At first, she felt anxious about it because she knew it would be a lot of work. And in Storm Lake, no one really knew that Planned Parenthood did abortions.

After signing up, the participants started to have meetings every week, leading up to the vigil’s kickoff. Few people would show up, and she would share the story of webcam abortion.

Going Back To Abortion Facility To Pray

Shortly after, the night before the start of the rally, 75 people showed up. She was hoping to just be behind the scenes of the rally. However, she was signed up for a couple of hours to pray. So, first thing in the morning the next day, she pulled into the usual parking spot where she used to park as a Planned Parenthood Manager.

She told God she wanted to stay and pray inside the van, but God urged her to get out and pray outside. She feared going out because she feared meeting her coworkers. And indeed, they were angry at her. Nevertheless, she spent 40 days there, almost every day praying for the abortion facility.

Today, Sue is working for March for Life as a Director of Outreach. And she encourages others to step up for the truth and fight for the lives of unborn babies.

“There may be those moments where you’re a little bit apprehensive about it, you’re scared about being on the sidewalk,” she said. “Our world is not feeling quite as safe as it did… it may be a little bit unnerving but God goes with you. And the truth is on our side.”

She ended abortion in her town

Ministry Leader Admits He Was A Christian With A Demon

Dr. Rodney Hogue started volunteering in ministry in the 1970s. He became a staff member at different churches and even attended seminary. And one day, during a seminary class as a young man, the ministry leader learned about casting out demons. A pastor testified how he ministered to two demonized Christians whom Jesus set free. Back then, he did not believe in Christians having demons. He didn’t believe it was in his theology. So, he decided to get out of there.

Ministry Leader Hears About Demonized Christians

Rodney left but wondered what he just heard. While driving down the road, he meditated, “How can this be? Christians having demons? How does this work?”

Suddenly, the Holy Spirit spoke to him so clearly in an audible voice, “Rodney, that’s what you have.”

He got upset and told the demon, “You can’t have me! In Jesus’ Name I command you to leave me!”

“Then I felt this thing leave!” he said. “Then I thought, ‘Oh no. Now I’ve just had an experience I don’t believe in.’”

Rodney didn’t want to tell anyone what happened, especially the pastor who shared with him about casting out demons. He was still so overwhelmed by his recent supernatural experience, it took some time to sink in. He tried to figure out what happened to him.

First Experience With Deliverance

In 1982, Rodney and his wife moved up to Washington state. He started pastoring in that place and surprisingly ministered to his very first demonized Christian. It happened when his wife brought over a friend his wife suspected to be inflicted by a demon. She did this so he could minister to a woman

Rodney slightly panicked because he didn’t know what to do.

“This lady comes over and I still don’t know what to do. I’ve never seen a deliverance session. So like how do you get one of these started?” he recalled.

Then he read the Scripture and the lady simply looked at her, complimenting the “nice verses.”
They prayed, and when Rodney finished praying, the lady couldn’t open her eyes. So he commanded the lady’s eyes to be opened in Jesus’ Name. And they opened up!

Then again, the lady couldn’t hear anything.

“I can see your lips moving but I can’t hear anything,” the lady told him. It seems she has gone deaf, but once again, Rodney rebuked the ears to open up also.

That night, Rodney witnessed the face of freedom after deliverance. The Christian lady was delivered!

Since then, he told God, “Lord, I don’t like the mess. But I love that look. And Lord, I will do that whatever it takes to see that look of freedom, because I love freedom.”

9-Year-Old Ministry Leader Also Became Her Mother’s Spiritual Mentor

The tragic death of this woman’s husband became an opportunity for her 9-year-old ministry leader daughter to become her encourager and spiritual mentor.

Marcela was a rebellious and a disrespectful child, according to her mother Jahaira. However, her life changed when she met Christ at seven years old.

Compassion International Ministry

Apparently, a Christian nonprofit organization built a child development center near their hometown in Ochomogo, Nicaragua. So with hopes that it would positively influence Jahaira’s daughter, she enrolled Marcela in the program. And truly, it did!

Children In Africa Fervently Pray Against COVID-19; Lay Hands On World Map

Through Compassion International, the 7-year-old’s life shifted. Her tough demeanor turned into a respectful, disciplined young lady who loved studying God’s Word. She became a leader in the children’s ministry at her church and was happily active in church activities.

But then one day, an unexpected tragedy struck their family. Marcela’s father suddenly died in a car accident. Her mother was devastated.

The Tragedy

Marcela’s father was the sole breadwinner of the family. And so with their father’s sudden passing, they were faced a great struggle. This made her Jahaira’s sadness grow into despair, even to the point of not getting out of bed. She just wanted to die.

“I asked the Lord how we were going to continue without my husband. I didn’t know what to do, or how I was going to support Marcela. I didn’t see a way out,” Jahaira recalled.

When the Compassion staff heard of the tragic news, they immediately took action. They visited Marcela’s home on a daily basis. But soon the staff realized, “God had already sent Jahaira a wise counselor in the form of a child.”

Faith Of A Young Ministry Leader

The 9-year-old showed wisdom and maturity despite her young age. The staff witnessed how she shared words of consolation and encouragement to her mother. They saw her unshakeable faith in God which enabled her to support her mother in her time of need.

“I told my mom that God loves us and that even if the situation is difficult, He is still with us. I told her His will is perfect and that I trust He knows what He has in store for us,” Marcela said.

Whenever the staff visited Jahaira’s home, they were always welcomed by the sight of Marcela encouraging her mother with the Word of God.

Hope Amidst Depression

However, there were also times when Jahaira continued down the path of depression despite her daughter’s prayers and encouragement. She even discouraged her from going to church so she wouldn’t have to be alone.

“I would tell her to stay with me, to keep me company,” she said. “But she told me she wanted to go because she said it was the Lord who gave her strength, and she couldn’t miss time at the church or Compassion center.”

Today, by God’s grace, both Jahaira and Marcela are recovering from the brokenness of losing a husband and a father. The hopelessness turned into joy and praise because of Marcela’s faithfulness to her Lord and Savior.

Although the mother is still grieving the loss of her husband, she praises God for her daughter’s life.

“I have learned that the Lord is merciful, and He is always with us, even when we have no hope or when we don’t understand His will. Every day, I ask the Lord to grant me strength to continue going to church, to continue praising Him and to allow me to help others. I want to share the love of God with other children who need to hear that He loves them and will never abandon them.”

The Christian pop icon took to Instagram to share his thoughts and feelings about the first time he stepped on a stage to lead worship.

“Sang at church last night. God is pulling me through a hard season. Having trust in Jesus at your worst times is the absolute hardest. But he is faithful to complete what he started,” Justin told over 115 Million followers on Instagram.

Churchome in Beverly Hills, California is the home to Justin’s mentor, Pastor Judah Smith, who helped him get through his dark days before coming to Christ. Smith said Bieber has “always” been a worshiper but felt the need to finally use his skill to lead others in a moment of adoration toward God.

Justin then continued to thank his wife, Hailey Baldwin Bieber, for the support she has shown to Justin.

“I also want to thank my wife for being such a huge support in my life through this season.. it says in the bible count it ALL JOY when you face trials of various kinds,” he added on the caption of his post.

A few days ago, Justin also opened up about his drug addiction and struggles in life that he dealt with before. Beyond the struggles, Justin believes that when we worship God, everything can come into place with God’s power.

“Sounds insane considering when u face trials u feel terrible. But if we are grateful and worship God for what we do have in that season there is so much power in that,” he said boldly.

He then ended by encouraging everyone that no matter the trial they are facing right now, the season won’t last.

“Whatever pain you are going through just keep telling yourself THIS WONT LAST! Love you guys we in this together,” Justin said.

Taming the tongue

Your tongue is powerful. It can either build up or tear down kingdoms. Your words are powerful. When you speak God’s Word over your family you speak life into their destiny and sett their course. Your home is where God’s peace dwells, rests and flourishes. God has planted you as the head of your home and it is your choice to either surrender your heart and words to God, or you can recklessly misdirect and shipwreck your home with the words that you speak.

Even in chaotic times, it is your responsibility to lead your home as God gives you insight and instruction. He will guide your course — if you allow him to. It is your decision to allow God to lead your home through your words and reflect His Heart or you will allow pride to ruin your God-given destiny.

“Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!” ( James‬ ‭3:4-5‬)

Lead her gently

Leadership without self control is like a broken dam. Your leadership protects the borders and spiritual integrity and familial infrastructure of your home. When you allow your emotions and the emotions of others to breech the walls of your home, the spiritual stability and foundation of your home begins to decay. Self control, prompted by The Holy Spirit, will ensure that you are leading as The Word instructs — selflessly.

“He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.” (Proverbs‬ ‭25:28)

Who are you submitted to? When you submit your actions and words to God you’re allowing Him to mold you into the man, husband and leader that He’s called you to be. When you lead, as God instructs, your heart, words and actions flows with the heartbeat of God — even in challenging times. Choose to lead your wife and family with love and under Godly care. Gather together for a daily devotional and let your words minister grace, peace, love and power.

Decree God’s Word in your daily devotional

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs‬ ‭18:21)

Your life is satisfied by the words that you speak. When you decree the Word of God over your life in your daily devotional, and cover your family, you’re establishing the house and guiding the path of your home for good success — Godly success. Your family’s success is rooted in your obedience to God as a husband and father. Your words can either build up or tear down. Choose to build. Build up your family’s faith through the words that you speak and your life‘s actions. Allow God to lead you in your daily devotional so that your heart, words and actions reflect Him. You are His mouthpiece.

You are His set man for your house. You are His priest. You have the opportunity to lead your family through your words and faith filled actions. As you read God’s Word in your daily devotional and speak them over your family you’ll accelerate their course and help to position their destiny. As the head, you can block unnecessary headwinds that try to slow you down. You are God’s chosen vessel to break generational cycles and bondages over your family. God will establish a new generational lineage through your obedience. Say what God says. Meditiate upon it in each daily devotional. Do what He instructs you to do.

Use your daily devotional to steer your home

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew‬ ‭18:20‬)

When steering your home, prayer is critical to establishing the trajectory of your family’s success. That is why a daily devotional time is so important. Prayer establishes unity and is more powerful than any weapon that the enemy can throw at you. When you gather together,  for your daily devotional time, choose to unite, pray and agree instead of coming together to disagree. Notice that Satan will try to come between you and your family in an effort to distract and disrupt you from focusing on your God-given assignment and pursing your destiny.

When you deliberately focus on God as a family, God will show up in your situation. It is your choice to decide to connect together as a family and to intently focus on what God wants to do through the generation that you lead. As the head, when you’re steering the ship of your home your submission to God’s Word and instruction is monumental for you and your family’s continued success.

Peace multiplied

“He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.” ‭(Psalms‬ ‭147:14‬)

When God steers your home, His peace will flourish. When you’re guided in your daily devotional by what He says He will fill your house with His Love. Filling your house with the finest of wheat is a byproduct of seeking God first. When you seek God’s peace He’ll cause you to flourish and prosper.

Some try to fill their house with the “stuff” before seeking God and obtain the stuff without peace. Choose the Peace of God before you pursue the “stuff”. Your family is more important than the “stuff” that can fill your house. When you fill your house with the Word of God, He will fill up the rest.

Lead her with diligence

“He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.” (Proverbs‬ ‭10:4)

When you diligently lead your wife’s heart, your marriage will thrive. When you set the example each day in your daily devotional as a couple He will lead your path and steer the success of your ship. Take the lead in your home by walking out the principles of God! Choose to allow God’s Word to steer the course of your ship. Let your life and your words minister peace, grace, love and power.

3 ways To Sharpen Your Leadership Influence

Someone once told me, “The sharper the ax, the bigger the blow!” Therefore, sharpening our leadership can increase the influence we have in the lives of other people.

Each of us can grow in our leadership. Some would say that you have it or you don’t. I disagree. Each person has the capacity to be a leader and to grow in their leadership influence.

A Major Mistake

One of the major mistakes a leader can make is overestimating their influence. If a leader only listens to and communicates with people who think like them and personally connect with them, they are greatly limiting their leadership. Oftentimes, social media amplifies this problem.

Here is what I have found in my life and leadership. The more expansive my leadership role is in life, the more it demands me to interact and relate to people who are not like me. This motivates me to become a better leader.

In other words, it sharpens my leadership.

3 Ways to Sharpen Your Leadership Influence 

1. Determine to make the biggest difference you can make in your life.

This may or may not have anything to do with a position you hold in leadership. Quite honestly, many positionally-based leaders forfeit their leadership influence on the altar of self-worship. They are more impressed with the leadership position they hold than using this entrustment as a stewardship given to them by God.

Sharpening your leadership influence begins when you determine to make the biggest difference you can make with the leadership you have been given in your life. Regardless of your leadership position, seize where you are and the opportunities extended to you. Every great leader makes the most of wherever they are at the time.

2. Expand your leadership influence across generational lines.

I am convinced that many people limit their leadership because they are more focused on doing what comes naturally to them: Relating and leading people in their own generation. This usually requires little to no stretch or change on their part.

Leadership influence demands more than this from you. In what way?

Learn to lead cross-generationally. Leading cross-generationally occurs when you are able to lead people in your own generation, the generation that came before you, and the generation that comes behind you. This is cross-generational leadership.

We all need to lead cross-generationally. When you only influence your own generation, you are limiting your leadership influence and quite honestly, your longevity in leadership.

3. Follow the Biblical model for leadership influence.

Jesus, Abraham, David, Moses, Paul, and Nehemiah each provide a biblical model for leadership influence. Think about each of them.

  • They led spiritually
  • They led purposefully
  • They led cross-generationally
  • They led past their lifetimes and still do today

Sharpening your leadership influence is up to you.

You have one shot in your life and leadership; therefore, make it count wherever you are.

Now is the Time to Lead.

Keeping the Faith

Famed author of No God but One: Allah or Jesus? and Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus, Qureshi is known for his candid prose about his transition from Islam to Christianity. He is also a traveling speaker, professing the word of God in front of thousands. The content of his lectures is informed by his medical training as well as his Judeo-Christian studies at Oxford University. He has influenced the lives of thousands, and now even more so than ever, as he remains faithful in the valley of the shadow of death.

Qureshi is convinced that God’s intention and character hasn’t changed since He walked the Earth, healing the sick and even raising Lazarus from the dead. Even though mainstream medicine gives him less than a one percent chance for survival, Qureshi and his followers remain convinced that God can and will heal him – especially for the sake of Qureshi’s young daughter.

The Dream

Recently, Qureshi shared a dream in which he saw Christ. This dream brought him great solace and joy, as he realized how much His Heavenly Father cares for him. In the dream, he saw a 30-year-old Jesus who hugged him and mentioned something about a baby and a sponge bath. When Qureshi awoke, he attempted to give his young daughter a sponge bath, but she inexplicably yelled and struggled. He was unable to cleanse her.

Qureshi discovered that he was like his daughter. He was fighting so hard against the disease, making it difficult for God to cleanse and heal him. Admittedly “terrified” of his disease, he decided to relax into the arms of his Heavenly Father.

The Prayer

After Qureshi delivered the news that his radiation didn’t work, he led his viewers in a profound prayer:

“God you put me last August in a place where I had 4 percent hope in medical treatment. And now I’m close to zero percent hope in medical treatment. Lord, I throw myself upon you even more. I ask for your mercy, God. I know that you are a miracle-working God. I know your will is for life and life to the full. I know that you intend to heal … I’m asking mainly for my daughter’s sake … I don’t think a daughter should be without her father. And so we ask the perfect Father, who is merciful and good. We ask you to have mercy, and to give us this good outcome of miraculous healing … Give me the strength to endure, God. Increase my faith … For your glory, Lord, may we see this miracle done.”

Continuing the Mission

As Qureshi faces the prospect of more treatment, he remains steadfast in his desire to grow the Kingdom of God. He has created crowdfunding opportunities for his online ministry as well as his treatment. Most of all, Qureshi needs continued prayer. If he is healed, it will be because God moved. And God CAN move – swiftly and powerfully.
