Amanda Riggan is a FedEx employee who encountered God’s love and compassion in an unusual way. While she was delivering a package, she had a conversation that melted her heart. This prompted Amanda to share the story on Facebook and her post went viral.
In the video (below) Amanda shares her beautiful experience with a woman who was broken-hearted because of her sick husband.
The customer asked Amanda if she had a happy holiday… Amanda replied that she had a great Christmas and New Year, but when Amanda asked the woman the same question, tears started to fill her eyes and she said that her holiday wasn’t good. “He’s sick. My husband’s sick. He has cancer.” she said.
Amanda tried to change the subject because it seemed awkward for her. But, what God did is amazing. As she pulled away in her van, God touched Amanda’s heart and filled it with conviction. She went back to the woman’s house and asked her if she could pray for her and her husband.
“The lady just broke down. She came out on the front porch and squeezed me so tight.”, Amanda emotionally shares in the video.
The woman became so emotional – Amanda’s prayer meant so much. It became an encouraging word for her. Because Amanda didn’t hesitate to share the love of God, the woman received so much comfort from her kind act.
A profound message for every child of God
At the end of the video, Amanda shares a profound message for every child of God:
“I pray every day for the Lord to use me, but when He’s trying to use you or when you feel that call, and that tug on your heartstrings, do you move your feet? Do you move? Cause I easily could have just gone about the rest of my day. When you feel those tugs on your heartstrings, and you feel like you need to this, stop and do it.”
“If you’re praying for the Lord to help and to use you in people’s situations, when He is giving you a chance – do it,” Amanda says.
The video has already gained over 15 million views and been shared by more than 300,000 people. God has truly used Amanda to remind His people about His wonderful love. Her testimony shows that we need to allow God to use our lives for His Glory.
