Christian rock band Third Day’s Mac Powell is celebrating the miracle God did for his wife who recently suffered from a stroke.

In November 2019, Mac’s wife, Aimee, was admitted to the hospital because of an unbearable headache. Doctors then revealed bleeding on her brain and they immediately took her into surgery to try to prevent the aneurysm from rupturing.

“Today marks six weeks since my wife Aimee woke up having a brain aneurysm which led to a hemorrhagic stroke. She spent 14 days in the hospital,” Mac wrote in an Instagram post.

Prayers for Aimee

Their family then received hundreds of prayers and support from the Christian community. Other Christian leaders showed their support, including Louie Giglio, Mandisa, and Priscilla Shirer.

God then preformed a miracle when Aimee miraculously woke up from right before Christmas.

“Aimee is doing great and we are so blessed that she was home for Christmas,” he added. “We enjoyed the holidays with our children, family, and friends. What a great time to reflect on the miracle that God performed in Aimee!”

Miracle healing

Although Aimee’s health has not been completely restored, they believe that she is continuing to recover.

“Headaches have been a new normal for her but she is continuing to heal and feel better each day,” Mac Powell revealed.

Mac expressed his gratitude to all who prayed for his wife in an Instagram post, “We will never be able to express our thanks and gratitude for all your prayers and love. We know that Aimee is here because of God, His plan for her life, and because of the prayers of the Saints all around the world!”

She’s been able to slowly get back to her normal mama routines like visiting colleges, seeing plays and basketball games, and getting in some snuggle time. Unbearable headache

On November 30, Aimee was admitted to the hospital while suffering an intense and unbearable headache. A CT scan found bleeding on her brain and she was immediately taken into surgery to stop the aneurysm from bursting.

A few days later, the doctors placed two coils into Aimee’s brain. However, she could still feel excruciating pain. The Christian singer then asked everybody to pray for her. Consequently, those prayers resulted in an amazing improvement on her condition.

Mac Powell posted an update

On December 4, Mac Powell posted a photo of his wife sitting on a chair with smiles on her face.

“Your prayers and well wishes are being felt! Positive progress today. The morning started out better than yesterday. The pain had subsided a bit but it’s up and down. She was able to eat a few bites of banana for breakfast and soup,” he wrote on his Instagram post. “She was even able to stand up and walk a few steps to sit in the chair.”

Mac continued to express his gratefulness to friends who have been helping them throughout this ordeal.

“We are thankful for friends that have helped take the little ones to and from school and for meals and provisions that people have brought,” he added.
