Kobe Bryant was an award-winning NBA player for the Los Angeles Lakers team. The NBA “legend” played for 20 seasons before he retired last April 2016. The Son of former NBA player Joe Bryant won the 2008 Most Valuable Player (MVP) award and was selected for the All-Star team for 18 seasons.
On January 26, the tragic news of Kobe’s death resounded across the globe. Kobe was killed when the helicopter he was traveling in crashed due to severely foggy conditions and burst into flames as it hit the ground. Millions of fans and the whole NBA are grieving the untimely death of the basketball star.

Additionally, Kobe’s 13-year-old daughter Gianna was also on board the helicopter when the accident happened. Kobe, Gianna, and seven others on board died in the accident. Among those who were with Kobe on the flight was a college football coach at Orange Coast College John Altobelli, his wife Keri and daughter Alyssa.

The group was on their way to the Mamba Cup Tournament Series where Kobe would be coaching the team that Gianna and Alyssa played for. People at the tournament kneeled in prayer as soon as the news of Kobe’s death became public.
