Karl-Anthony recently shared that his mother, Jacqueline Cruz, is battling coronavirus. In an emotional Instagram video Karl-Anthony uploaded on March 25, he shared the severity of the disease and warns everyone to take COVID-19 seriously.
“I made this video so that people would understand the severity of this disease is real,” Karl-Anthony said. “Please protect your families, your loved ones, friends, yourself. Practice social distancing. Please don’t be in places where there’s a lot of people. This disease is deadly.”
COVID-19
Karl-Anthony also opened up about his mom’s condition. His mom’s condition is getting worse as the days have gone by and she now relies on a ventilator to breathe. However, the Towns family is not giving up and they believe that she will win this battle.
“We’re gonna keep fighting this, we’re gonna beat it. We’re gonna win. I’m not gonna quit…neither will my mother. She’s the strongest woman I know. I know she’ll beat this and we’re gonna rejoice when she does,” he said.
Prayer
The NBA star ended his heart-felt video by offering prayer and hope to everyone watching.
“Send my love to all your families, praying for every single one of you guys. I’m keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers,” he said.
