The Mission May Cost You Everything, But It’s Going To Be Worth It

The mission that God has for us may cost us everything, but it’s surely going to be worth it.

Mission

Rick Pino encourages every believer that all we’re doing for the mission of God is worth it. As Children of God, we all have a mission here on earth, we are here for a purpose. That purpose is to advance the Kingdom of God.

“Men and women, it’s time that desires to begin to fill our hearts again,” Rick said as he challenged his listeners. “It’s time for a counter-cultural revolution… It’s time that the world stopped discipling us and we begin to start discipling the world again.”

It Will Cost Us Everything

As we obey the Lord and do our mission, there’s a price to pay. It would cost us everything we have. We must be willing to leave our past and our lives behind and follow the Lord to wherever He leads us to.

“Listen, it’s going to cost you everything. I’m going to tell you right now, it will cost you everything today, it will cost you everything tomorrow, and it will cost you everything in the next few days. It will cost you everything, remember the rich young ruler? It will cost you everything but listen, it is worth it. It’s worth it.”

But no matter how big the price is, it’s all going to be worth it. Everything will be worth it all when we start to see the power of God move here on earth.

“It’s worth to see nations tremble at the sound of His word, it’s worth it to see a generation arise who are a new breed with fire in their eyes. It’s worth it that whenever we decree something in the heavens, it opens up over the earth, it’s worth it brothers and sisters.”

Author and preacher Francis Chan boldly revealed the number one reason why kids turn away from God when they grow up, it is because of how their parents exercise their faith.

Francis Chan has been a well-known Christian personality since the 1990s. People have known him as the founder of Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley, California. He has also founded the Eternity Bible College in 2004 and has co-authored numerous books including New York Times bestseller Crazy Love.

In an interview with Ekballo Project, Francis had a bold message and challenge to the church. That challenge is to become an example to young people. The 53-year-old teacher talked about how he saw Christian married couples and parents become so focused on their own families that they forsake the mission of God.

“Your mission with the Lord doesn’t end when you get married,” Francis emphasized.

Family

He then continued to explain how the young and single Christians were on fire for the mission of God. They were the ones who were willing to do radical things to advance the Kingdom of God. However, when they get married and start to build up their family, their focus shifts.

Instead of being on fire to fulfill the mission, they become so focused on creating a safe place for their family. That is not the life God has called us for. When we focus inwardly, we allow our family to be our idol. And that’s the top reason why our kids turn away from Jesus when they were older.

“Your children are missing out on life when you do that,” he said. “That’s why so many of the kids when they turn 18, they just ditch God altogether — because they didn’t see anything real in your life.”

Mission

Instead of just keeping our family in a safe zone, let us bring them to where the spiritual battle truly happens. Bring your family to the mission field that God has called us to go. Let your children experience the power of the Holy Spirit.

“Not only are you missing out on life, but we are turning away our children by the droves because our lives are not the adventure they see in Scripture and they are not experiencing the Holy Spirit.”

Customer Service Sends Letter And Donation After A Phone Call From Someone

A customer service agent sent a letter and a donation after a phone call from someone who is looking for contact lenses.

Phone Call

In October, Arpi Kirkorian placed a phone call to order contact lenses. Little did she know that her phone call with 1-800 CONTACTS woudl be a very memorable call. The customer service rep on the other line went the extra mile to bless Arpi’s mission.

“Along the way, the sweet customer service rep asked me what we do,” Arpi recalled. “So we had a conversation about my husband’s non-profit, Code 3 Angels, and his global humanitarian work.”

Code 3 Angels

Code 3 Angels is a non-profit organization based in Sierra Mader, California, that aids countries in need of medical service. They are bringing emergency “medical services skills and training to people in developing nations and underprivileged communities throughout the United States.”

Recently the organization is concentrating its resources to help a region called Artsakh bordering Armenia. It is reported that the region is under attack by Azerbaijan to drive Armenians from the area. Arpi explained to Lyndi, the customer service agent, about their mission to help the region of Artsakh.

Little did she know that the person on the other line was greatly touched by their organization’s mission. The day after that phone call, Arpi received a letter and a $100 donation from the Lyndi.

“The very next day, I received a personal greeting card in the mail from that customer service rep with a $100 donation inside!”

The letter reads:

Dear Arpi and Joe,
Thank you for sharing your story about the mission work you are doing in Armenia. My heart was touched. We live in crazy times. The people of Armenia will be in my prayers. You both will be in my prayers for you to be safe, strong and protected. Thank you for your contact lens orders. We appreciate your business. It was such a pleasure meeting you. This is a small donation. I know you will use it toward whatever will best suit your needs.

Christian Astronaut Brings Bible & Communion Cups On First Space Station Mission

A Christian astronaut who is also the first African American to go on a long-term mission takes Bible and communion cups with him onboard.

On Sunday, Victor Glover blasted to the International Space Station in the SpaceX Crew Dragon’s capsule Resilience. According to a report, the spacecraft is “the first commercially developed space vehicle certified by NASA and the Federal Aviation Administration to ferry astronauts up to low-Earth orbit and back again.” He and three other crew members are to stay at the space station until spring.

Victor brought with him his Bible and communion cups to kindle his faith even in space. In an interview with the Churches of Christ-associated newspaper Christian Chronicle, the 44-year-old said that he also plans to participate in faith-based “virtual service” and “virtual giving.” He wants to utilize the robust internet connection aboard the spacecraft.

But before the Christian astronaut’s first space journey, he was a Navy F/A-18 carrier pilot who flew combat missions in Iraq. He had also served as a legislative aide.

“Before I go and even get in an airplane to go on a flight, I say a prayer. And I always think about my family,” he said during the interview.

Victor is happily married to his wife Dionna for 18 years. The couple has four children.

After having arrived at the space destination, Victor made his first tweet on Monday.

“Go Crew Dragon, Go Resilience!!! Big thank you to the teams at @NASA and @SpaceX for keeping us safe on the ride up. Next stop, @Space_Station,” he wrote.

Moreover, in a video interview, Victor said, “God doesn’t really have to have a concern for my patriotism. But I am an American, and we were blessed to be born in America.”

“All of us should understand … the legacy that we’re all a part of. … I do think we have work to do in terms of making sure that a complete and entire whole story is told.”

Praise God for His protection that Victor and his crewmates arrived safe and sound in outer space!

Aviation Ministry Will Launch First Christian Airline To Transport Missionaries

An aviation ministry in Los Angeles will launch the first-ever Christian airline to transport missionaries and their cargo across the world in 2021.

Judah 1

Judah 1 is a private aviation ministry based in Shreveport, Los Angeles that is dedicated to serving in missions. They have been founded in 2011 and since then, they have transported hundreds of missionaries and their cargo to mission fields across the globe.

“We give wings to missionaries. The Great Commission tells us we go to all the world and preach the gospel to every creature,” Everett Aaron, Judah 1 founder and president said.

Recently, they have announced that they are hoping to become the world’s first Christian airline in 2021. They are gearing up to transport large teams of missionaries.

“We’re able to get out into the mission field to take smaller teams, 12 to 10 member teams…taking them into the field,” Everett noted. “But in the future, once we get our certification, the 125 certifications for the large plane, then we can carry the larger teams of up to 136 with our MP83 and 17,000 pounds of cargo and, of course, we can go anywhere with those.”

The aviation ministry was from a vision God gave Everett in 1994, it was only realized 17 years later.

“I see hundreds of these airplanes lined up as far as you can see,” he recounted. “They’re full of food, medical supplies, Bibles. Engines are running on them, I can see the crew in the cockpit. I can see the flight attendants inside the plane…I mean these planes are ready to go and I get super excited because I knew in my spirit. These planes are missionary aircraft and they’re taking supplies into the mission field.”

Calling

That was when he heard the Lord calling him for this ministry.

“And the Lord spoke and he said, ‘None of these people,’ and when he said ‘None of these people’. It wasn’t just the missionaries, I saw the pilots on the planes, the flight attendants, the mechanics that maintain the planes. Everybody that’s associated with doing this stuff,” Everett recalled. “He said, ‘None of these people can do what they’re called to do until you get the airplanes. This is my call on your life.”

A 9-Year-Old Boy Is On A Mission To Get 100,000 Meals To Needy People Before Thanksgiving

A kindhearted 9-year-old boy from Texas is not just an ordinary boy we often see in kids today, because even at his very young age, he is racing to give out 100,000 meals to needy people.

Orion Jean is a 5th-grader from North Texas who has such a big heart for the needy. Right now, he is raising money to give out 100,000 meals to the less fortunate.

“I’m asking everyone to join me in a race to kindness,” he said. “This has been a rough year for everybody, and now it’s more important than ever to show support and love to anyone who needs it.”

The 9-year-old aims to complete this mission by Thanksgiving. So far he has had people from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Dallas, Texas donating meals. The meals contains “contain bottled water, fruit, tuna/applesauce cup, granola bar, and a positive message.”

Kindness Speech Contest

This is not the first time that Orion cared and contributed to society. He took part in a Think Kindness National Speech Contest and won. The question was “How can kindness change a nation?”

The fifth-grader then gave an astounding response to the question that wooed the judges.

“The difficult situations impacting our world has shown us that kindness is more important now than ever before,” Orion said. “We’ve heard about the families hurting from this pandemic; the communities suffering injustice, and the people being OVER virtual learning… We could really use a big hug right now. And that’s just it. Kindness is like spreading hugs around the world to those who need it and those who might not even know they need it.”

Finally, the 9-year-old stressed, “The acts could be something small, but in the end, make a big difference to the person receiving it.”

Donating His Monetary Award

Orion received $500 for his winning entry. And according to Faithpot, he gave the money towards the 500 Toys Drive “where after collecting hundreds of donations, toys were distributed to grateful hospitalized kids in the Dallas area.”

For the young boy, “it’s better to give than to receive.” So far, he has gathered more than 4,000 meal donations in the “Race to 100,000 Meals.” And he welcomes everybody who wants to take part in the cause to spread love and care to communities.

What is God's relationship with His daughters?

Are you happy to be God’s daughter?

“Does God hate girls?” a young girl asked at a meeting with a few youngsters. I knew she was searching for meaning, purpose, and value in being a girl, the daughter of the King.

Daughter: Created to be wonderful

After I was rejected at birth for being a girl, I spent years searching for self-worth and my identity. God, in His mercy, healed me from rejection and helped me find my worth. I knew that God loved His daughters wholeheartedly and unconditionally. In fact, He loves them just as He loves His sons.

Psalm 139:13-14 says, “For You formed my innermost parts; You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” This verse is true for boys and girls. Each of us regardless of gender is fearfully and wonderfully made by God.

Acts 10:34 AMP says, “And Peter opened his mouth and said: Most certainly and thoroughly I now perceive and understand that God shows no partiality and is no respecter of persons.” This proves that the promises in the Bible are for men and women alike.

In the New Testament, Galatians 3:28 AMP says, “There is [now no distinction] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Many people argue about the position of women, but they forget that the Lord Jesus Himself sought out the Samaritan woman in John 4:4-29. The verse says, “His disciples were surprised to find Him talking to a woman.” The amazing thing is that this woman He sought had five husbands! Though Jesus knew her history and could have shunned her, He chose to speak to her.

After her encounter with Jesus, this Samaritan woman told her village, “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?” “They came out of the town and made their way toward Him.” These verses record this Samaritan woman to be the first Gentile to share the good news about the Messiah, since her village came to Jesus through her!

Resurrection revealed first to women

God chose to share the news of the resurrection to some women. Luke 24:1 says, “But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, the women went to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared [to finish anointing the body].” They saw an angel there. The angel told them, “Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead.” These women were instructed by the angel of God to share the truth with others. However, they were not taken seriously, “their report seemed to them like idle talk and nonsense, and they would not believe them.”

God does not hate His daughters, He loves them as much as His sons. He has invested similar gifting, talents, skills and abilities in women as in men. He has created each one unique and intends for each of them to use their talents for His glory and for the expansion of His kingdom.

Women too have a God-given purpose

The Bible mentions the names of extra-ordinary women. They included Sarah, Jochebed, Miriam, Rahab, Deborah, Huldah, Ruth, Hannah, and Mary the mother of Jesus. We also have Esther, Elizabeth – mother of John the Baptist, Mary of Bethany, Mary Magdalene, the Syrophoenician woman, Priscilla and Dorcas among others.

Jesus acknowledged women

Jesus has never prohibited women from serving Him. When Martha complained and asked Him to send Mary to help her with the housework, He said, “Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:42 NIV)

Jesus always stood by women and empowered them. He acknowledged the woman with the issue of blood who received healing by touching the hem of His garment. He commended the faith of the woman who emptied her alabaster jar of perfume to show her love for Him. The Bible also tells us how God cares for widows and childless women, how He hears their cry, their prayers and is eager to bless them.

Daughter: The Harvest is ripe – The workers are few!

The Second Coming of Jesus is near, the harvest is ripe. It is a time for every believer to step out and serve God fearlessly. Women too need to do their part in the mission, so we can ensure that the Gospel reaches the uttermost parts of the earth. Being one-half of humanity women have to rise up and fulfill their God-given mission.

Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke expounds upon the importance of seeking and saving the lost. – The Lord cannot rest until souls are saved.

Reinhard highlights the following Scripture:

“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10)

The Lord cannot celebrate His Sabbath, as long there is work to do, as long as there are souls to be saved. That is why He went much further than just walking in the Garden.

That’s why he sent His Son into the world, to die for us on the cross. With His blood, He paid the price for our redemption, our salvation.

Salvation is for you and me

All we have to do is accept it, just accept it.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. ‘For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. ‘He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.’” (John 3:16-18)

God Calls, We Eagerly Respond – Then The Enemy Comes To Wreak Havoc

It is here, finally. After waiting, which felt like a lifetime for such a time as this, the opportunity is placed in front of me. I see this gift, I see this opportunity and accept it with a thankful heart. The journey has been tough, a long and winding road with so many obstacles. But, despite all the wrong turns or detours, I’m standing at the entrance of an opportunity that would take me to the next level of my journey.

Here I am, ready to share the Gospel. I decide to travel light, no baggage, just take what is needed and that is the Word. As I’m about to walk towards this door of opportunity, things change. The atmosphere changes, there’s confusion, chaos, obstacles, things that weren’t there a minute ago just appeared before I get to this door of opportunity.

Four days later and I’m still trying to grab the desire of my heart, but the obstacles will not move. I suddenly feel ill, my body is aching, I’m lethargic, and a fever arises which makes things worse. The next day, I discover that people are accusing me of things that happened four years ago. Lies and gossip about who I am and what I have done four years ago does not make any sense.

On day four, I wake up but cannot open my eyes. How am I to write or share a message if I cannot open my eyes? As I begin to sing, “Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me”, with the peace of Christ falling on me, revelation arrives and my eyes open, physically and spiritually.

Christ’s Mission

Christ had a mission. It was a calling that was placed on Him. He waited for the opportunity, but as He was about to take the next step, obstacles appeared. He lost everything because of His calling. A purpose and a plan to share His message with the world. To bless the world with the gift of salvation, eternal life for every generation to come until the end of time. He knew that things would not get any easier, but yet He pursued the desire of His heart.

His friends abandoned Him. He was arrested. Falsely accused. Thrown into a cell to await final judgement and the court decided that He deserved to die. He was forced to carry a cross to the Hill of Calvary. The cross that He was nailed to. Then pierced in His left side but not a word through it all.

As He looked up He cried out, “Father, why have You forsaken me?” His Father cried to see what the world had done to His Son. The only living gift sent for all. “It is finished.”

My revelation is to finish this race like He did. Looking at what I am currently facing is nothing compared to what He faced on Calvary. Fight the good fight of faith and grab the opportunity.

Never give up. Eyes on the prize. Get up. Start again. Hunger and thirst to stick to the purpose and plan of your life. Even if nobody is around, look ahead at the finish line.

Christ is standing there with open arms waiting to say, “Well done my good and faithful servant.” My hope and faith lies in knowing that He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Former Rebellious Christian Returns to Clubs With an Incredible Mission

Nadia grew up in a Christian home. She used to love every youth group activity about God, praying in school, reading the Word and even made a vow to stand for Christ. It never occurred to her that she would turn the opposite way, and become a different person, far from what she used to be.

Nadia’s rebelliousness started after feeling rejected by the people around her. When that happened, she rebelled against God and left home when she was 18. Her selfish desires led her far from God. In the early years of her rebellion, she became a nude model. Desperate for money and attention, she then pursued her dream career of becoming a dancer. Later she realized that her life wasn’t as glamorous as she hoped it would be.

Darkness filled up her life. She felt lonely and depressed because she didn’t even have any friends. She was so filled with fear that every night she cried and cried. She felt like a black spirit was all over her. Nadia even contemplated suicide. She hit rock bottom. She realized she missed being in a relationship with Jesus and living a life filled with peace and love. However, she thought to herself, “Of all the things I’ve done, there’s no way God can take me back now.” God proved her wrong!

One day a neighbor invited her to a women’s Bible Study and a summer church retreat. She decided to join her at the retreat and felt the love of God – something she’d not experienced for a long time.

God is always willing to welcome His children back, those who have turned away from Him – just like the Parable of the Prodigal Son. His love is so great and you just need to embrace His Grace and trust that HE loves you so much.

“My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
