Captain Wendy Rexon and her daughter first officer Kelly Rexon were in the cockpit of a Delta Boeing 757 bound from Los Angeles to Atlanta when a passenger snapped their picture that is now all over the Internet!
Dr John Watret, chancellor of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, overheard a mother asking a flight attendant if her two kids could visit the flight deck. The flight attendant said they could, but told them they would be surprised…
When the family returned to their seats, Dr John heard them talking about the two female pilots flying the plane. They were talking about a mother and daughter team!
“I thought that was amazing, I was in awe. I asked if I could visit them, too,” he said.
Dr John was permitted to see the cockpit and snapped a picture of the duo. He then posted it on his Twitter account.

“Just flew from LAX to ATL on Delta piloted by this mother-daughter flight crew. Great flight. Inspiring for you women,” Dr John stated in the caption of the post.
It garnered over 20,000 re-tweets and hundreds of comments.
“That’s fantastic and what a lovely photo,” a Twitter user commented.
“That is just the most amazing, wonderful news ever – seriously. My mother and I would never have flown together as a crew. We couldn’t even agree on having the radio on/off in the car,” Sharon Dunn and Gary commented on the tweet.
