The Spiritual Yet Practical Way To Move Your Debt Mountain

Mark Varughese from Kingdom City reveals to us the spiritual and practical way to move our debt mountain.

The first way to move the mountain of debt is spiritual. Jesus Christ has died on the cross for our redemption and that includes our redemption from debts.

“The Bible talks about God as a loving Father,” Mark said. “No matter how bad your debt, no matter how rich your deficit so to speak, Jesus died upon a cross to forgive our sin, to heal us, and to redeem us from the desperate situations we find ourselves in, including the debt.”

Spiritual Way

We just have to have faith in God and keep on praying and declaring for our debts to be paid. It is certain that Jesus wants us to be our of our debts and live a life free from any bondage.

“Do not stop giving up on this miraculous nature of God to spiritually shift your situation,” he added.

Practical Way

Aside from a spiritual way, we also need a practical way to cancel our debts. That practical way is self-discipline and being a good steward of the resources that God gave us.

“The Bible says that Jesus declared that if anyone wants to follow Him they must deny themselves, take up the cross and follow Him. To deny himself means to say no to you, not no to your parents, not no to your kids, not no to God, not no to your church, not no to the missions opportunities, but no to self. Often, the desire within ourselves to feed ourselves first, and to sort ourselves first is the reason we end up in a bad place at the end of the month and then debt becomes a natural byproduct of bad stewardship.”

Tanya Chand, the operations director of Walk Like Jesus, shares to us how she overcame the mountain of depression and anxiety.

Before knowing Jesus Christ, Tanya experienced emotional abuse and trauma caused by her biological parents. Her past then led her to suffer from depression and anxiety and it even placed her life in danger.

“I faced a mountain in my life where I didn’t know my own worth and I didn’t feel like I was loved to the point where I was actually suicidal. I attempted to commit suicide and that left me on a life support machine for three days,” Tanya recalled.

Depression & Anxiety

Shortly after that, she found Jesus Christ and she gave her life to Him. But despite having a relationship with the one who set her free, she still struggled to overcome her feeling of rejection. It was a huge mountain in her life that is hindering her to move towards her destiny.

“It’s that type of mountain that sometimes can restrict a person. It’s that type of thing that can hold us back from fulfilling our destiny.”

God as a Father

That was when she decided to go on a journey of understanding God as a Father. Today, she is now free from depression and anxiety. Tanya is also using her testimony to help others who also have the same struggle.

No matter how deep your trauma is, God can turn your situation around because He is your good Father.

“God can turn those things around and use them for His glory. He says that God is a Father to the fatherless and He says that He will adopt us and take us in as His very own child.”

How can we pray for the Lord’s victory in front of the giants and mountains?

Isi de Gersigny, songwriter and pastor at Jubilee Church in Sydney, Australia, shares how can we pray for the mountains in front of us. She referenced the story of David in 2 Samuel to explain that God always wins the victory for us even though the enemy is bigger than us.

The first step in praying for victory is knowing God’s heart and who He is as a Father to us.

“When you pray, know that He hears you firstly. He always hears you, the Bible says,” Isi said.

Then, expect that the Lord will speak to you. He will tell you what you need to do during this battle. If you obey what God has instructed you, then surely He will move the mountains for you.

“Thirdly, when He does speaks to you and He shows you a Scripture and He gives you a strategy through your friends, through whatever it is, through your pastor, listen to that and obey. Because when you obey, God will always bless you,” she explained.

Through the cross, God has won the victory for our every battle. He is always bigger and more powerful than all our enemies. Just trust in God and watch as He moves the biggest mountain you are facing right now.

“Lastly, when you have obeyed Him, God will always frame that part of your life, that mountain that you have faced with an aspect of His personality of His power, of His glory, of His beauty. Because God is ultimately the Lord who has broken out in front of all out enemies. He has broken out right through with the cross.”

“God will move the mountain in your life,” Ward declared. “Whether it’s a physical mountain, maybe you need a miracle, a touch from God, maybe it’s a spiritual mountain, there’s something in your life or in your family’s life, your loved ones’ life, it’s spiritually and it needs to be cast down and cast into the sea… Whatever it is, we know that nothing is too big for God… The Lord can move the highest mountain, make a way for you and for me.”

Ward then continued to share how God called him to start GOD TV, a media mission that aims to preach the Gospel all over the world. This media mission is out of the obedience of Ward and the team members to God’s calling. God is moving through media and internet to spread His Word and to give hope to the lost.

“It’s a joy, it’s an honor, it’s a privilege for me to wake up every day and say, ‘Yes Sir.’ There’s a mountain that needs to be moved today, there’s a soul that needs to be saved, there’s a person that needs deliverance, healing, a miracle, a breakthrough. Somebody needs to hear about Jesus Christ today and we do it through GOD TV.”
