Man Prays For His Brother’s Salvation, 15 Years Later He Encounters Jesus In Near Death Experience

A man prayed for his brother to receive salvation and encounter the Lord. Then 15 years later, Jesus met him when he nearly died in an accident.

Praying For Salvation

Jonathan was a Christian who had been praying for his family to encounter the Lord for many years. He specifically asked for his brother Taylor’s salvation. One day, Jonathan’s brother was in a horrifying accident in the middle of the night.

Taylor suffered from a severe cut “on his leg down into the bone.” The deep cut resulted in a lot of blood loss, and he was losing consciousness. When Jonathan received the news, he immediately prayed to God.

The following day, Jonathan received news that Taylor’s condition had worsened. At that point, Jonathan fought in prayer and cried out to God. He also messaged the prayer warriors to intercede for his brother’s life.

A Vision From God

Then all of a sudden, he saw a vision of Taylor’s hospital room.

“I saw a light figure come into the room,” he recalled. “I don’t know if it was the Lord or an Angel of the Lord, all I know is that I saw the shape of a human being. But they were pure light and they came into the room. And I knew they were bringing relief to my brother.”

Meanwhile, unknown to Jonathan, Taylor was also asking God for forgiveness at that moment. His brother told him what he had experienced amidst fighting for his life. Apparently, as Taylor was crying out to the Lord, repenting of his sins, “a comforting hand” touched his forehead.

“How humbling to know He has forgiven me and to know I was in His hands,” Taylor wrote in a message he sent Jonathan.

Whole Family Glorifies God

In the end, Jonathan’s family witnessed God’s miracle before their eyes.

“My whole family gave glory and credit to God,” he testified. “I fell on my floor in my office today at work and I wept before the Lord in gratitude. Because I’ve been waiting for over 15 years to have this kind of conversation with my brother and with my family.”

“God is still answering prayer. Jesus is still alive. His arm is not too short to save,” Jonathan remarked.

Indeed, Jesus is alive!

On August 30, 2002, Randall Rathbun was driving on his way home when he heard a voice commanding him to take his hands off the steering wheel. He did what the voice told him to do and he lost control of his car and it crashed. What he experienced after the crash changed his life forever.

In an interview with Randy Kay, Randall shared his testimony and the message God wanted to tell everyone through him. Prior to his accident, he was active in his church and was serving the Lord on the worship team. However, what people around him didn’t know was that he was living a double life. He was diagnosed with acute psychosis, a mental condition that causes temporary nervous breakdowns.d

Experience in hell

On the night of his accident, the next thing he knew after crashing his car was that he was 20 ft above his car and was painfully chained up. After that, he was brought to hell, he knew that it was the consequence of all the secret sins that he had. He lost hope and thought that he would be in hell forever.

But then God took him up to heaven to tell him something that would make him turn away from his sins. Randall was face-to-face with God the Father and He said to him that his sins have been paid by His Son.

“I believe that he wanted me to know that he is a gracious merciful God. Mercy means undeserved kindness, nothing you could do would earn it,” Randall testified.

Encounter in Heaven

Right at that moment, he experienced the pure love of the Father and His great mercy. After that encounter, God brought him back to life for him to share this powerful message:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart your soul and your strength and your might and then love your neighbor as yourself. That’s what it’s all about, that’s what heaven is all about.”

Former Atheist Turns To Jesus Christ After A Near Death Experience

A former atheist turned to Jesus Christ and changed his life after a near-death experience.

Former Atheist

Howard Storm is a renowned painter, sculptor, and art professor at North Kentucky University. He has lived his life “completely self-centered” and all he wanted was to become successful. But an incident changed his entire perspective on his life and his belief in God.

“I was an atheist,” he said. “I thought that lives were short and sweet and then you die, so the whole point was to be as successful as possible.”

It was June 1985 and the professor took his art students on a three-week trip to Europe. On the last day of their trip, exhausted from the tours, Howard suddenly collapsed. Doctors later found a perforated duodenum that placed him at risk of sepsis.

Near-death Experience

Suffering from severe pain, Howard thought that he was about to die. He bid goodbye to his wife who was at his bedside and then became unconscious. When he woke up, he saw his body next to him.

“I felt better than I ever felt in my whole life. I was overjoyed, amazed, thrilled, excited…The next thing I noticed was that my senses were heightened. I could see better, hear better, taste better, feel better.”

After that, he felt people calling him into the darkness, he experienced hell. Then the people who called him into the darkness started attacking him, it was horrible and he knew he got to find a way out of that place. That is when he heard a voice saying to him to pray to God.

At first, he tried to resist the voice but his desperation led him to pray to God whom he didn’t believe in.

“The more I mentioned God, the more [the people in hell] were screaming at me to stop, but the important thing was, they kept retreating back in the darkness because they could not bear any mention of God.”

Eventually, those people left him, and then he saw Jesus Christ coming to him and pulling him out of the darkness. After waking up from his unconsciousness, his view of God and life changed. Today, 40 years after that near-death experience, he is sharing that love of Jesus Christ with the world.

Turning Away From God & Becoming A Gangster

Anthony Vasquez grew up in church and learned about God. But darkness began to fill his heart after losing his grandmother from cancer and his cousin from committing suicide. He turned his back on God because he felt abandoned by the unfortunate things in his life. The teen felt betrayed by God, thinking He didn’t care about him.

Soon, Anthony turned to drugs and embraced the life of a gangster. He loved the temporary relief and fun it gave him. Then at 19 years old, he left the gang for a while and married. But while living as a family man, the gangster life called him back again. So, he lived a double life in his home and on the streets as a gangster.

Consequently, Anthony was in and out of jail because of his lifestyle and went to rehab. And soon, his wife also filed for divorce.

An Encounter With God

Meanwhile, amidst Anthony’s messy life, his brother became a Christian. He got invited to church and felt the genuine heart of people towards God in that church. However, he struggled to relate to them.

“I didn’t really know how to get there,” he recalled. “But I hadn’t really experienced God. I just experienced church.”

But while he desired to change, Anthony couldn’t let go of the gangster life. Until one night, he was almost killed in the middle of a drug deal. Following the incident, it finally opened Anthony’s eyes. He began to feel the weight of the sins he had committed for many years.

Anthony fell on his knees and wept on God, desperate to be changed.

“God, I don’t know how to change. Either You help me, or I’m done,” he cried out to God. Then God came in, and he was radically changed.

On the Christmas Eve in 2000, Lisa went into cardiac arrest and died. She went to heaven and had an unbelievable encounter.

Then out of the blue, she was taken to another place. There she met a young man she believed was Jesus Christ.

“I saw a young man with an expression on his face of more love I have ever experienced. I think it was Jesus Christ,” she said while in tears.

“He was beautiful… His eyes changed colors from bluish-green to brown.”

Lisa was in awe of Jesus’ presence.

And Jesus spoke to her, “Now that I have your attention, there’s a few things that we need to discuss. And you need to explain yourself.”

Jesus then showed her the life she had lived on earth and asked her why she made those choices.

“…because when you’re down here, all you can think about is you and what you want. And when you’re up there you see the whole picture,” she realized during the interview.

Meanwhile on earth, her heart was shocked over 17 times. But they still couldn’t bring her back. Jesus wasn’t ready to send her back until she heard this one message…

The award-winning Christian author Lee Strobel investigates near-death experiences in his upcoming film “The Cases For Heaven.”

“The Cases For Heaven” is based on Lee’s book of the same title and it’s coming to theatres for only three nights on April 4-6. This documentary film is about the afterlife and investigates the evidence of heaven and hell in the Bible and outside the Bible. Testimonies of people who have near-death experiences will also be included.

“My background is in journalism, in law, so I tend to be a skeptic; I tend to be someone who wants evidence and facts and logic and reason,” Lee said in an interview with The Christian Post. “I was an atheist for much of my life, and I came to faith through my own investigation into the historical reliability of the evidence for the resurrection of Jesus, the scientific evidence for the existence of a creator, and so forth.”

The Case Of Heaven

Strobel interviews scholars and experts in this field to prove that our belief is not just wishful thinking or a legend, but the truth.

“I really believe it’s important for young people, especially, to understand that we have a faith that’s not built on wishful thinking or make-believe or mythology or legend, but really on a solid foundation of truth,” he added.

Lee almost nearly died 10 years ago because of a medical condition called hyponatremia. This condition is an unusual condition where one’s blood sodium level is too below the normal level. This often had him pressing the edge of death until doctors finally found a way to save his life.

This film gives evidence that Heaven and hell are real and that near-death experiences are real.

“I hope that people who are Christians will walk away with renewed hope, stronger hope, and assurance that their eternity is going to be with God forever,” Strobel added. “That’s a wonderful prospect. I hope that non-believers will come to the movie and realize that this life is not all there is. And that they will turn to Jesus for forgiveness and His free gift of grace and eternal life.”

A 6-year-old little girl nearly died from rare genetic condition complications. After recovering from near-death experience, she asked her mom, “When can I see God again?”

A Rare Genetic Condition

Six months after Zola was born in 2015, the pediatrician discovered that her condition wasn’t normal. Then at 2-years-old, she had her first seizure. And for the next years, the little girl was in and out of the hospital due to several health issues.

Soon enough, doctors found Zola’s tonsils enlarged, which could obstruct her breathing. Hence, they advised her for immediate surgery to remove them. So, she underwent surgery, and it was successful. However, days after Zola’s surgery, she began throwing up blood and hemorrhaging.

Doctors fought to save Zola’s life at the hospital since her blood levels were so low. It almost took her life, but thankfully, the little girl survived the ordeal.

Near-Death Experience

Later on, Zola began telling her parents about her near-death experience. At some point after her life-threatening condition, the little girl asked her mom, “When can I see God again?”

The mom chuckled and, at the same time taken aback by her girl’s question. Because they had never talked about God to her before, and they didn’t go to church. And when the mom asked when she saw God, Zola replied, “the night I died.”

Zola then told her mom that God thanked her for being her friend. And when the Inside Edition producer asked what she could remember, the 6-year-old also revealed that she hugged God. Further, the little girl also added that she still talks to God today.

Since then, the mom interpreted God’s message that they have to return to Him. And so that’s what the whole family did. They followed Jesus and were forever thankful for what He did to save Zola’s life.

A couple from Ohio testified that their 4-year-old daughter told of seeing God and hugging Jesus during her near death experience.

Britney’s daughter Zola was born a healthy baby girl. However, as she got older, she started getting fevers unexpectedly. The baby girl would scream through the night and her ear infection would turn into pneumonia. And year after year, Zola would suffer from seizures.

Until a doctor recommended a routine procedure to treat her sleep apnea. Her sleep apnea caused her seizures. The procedure was successful and they went home.

Near Death Experience Of 4 Year Old

But one day in the middle of the night, Zola came to her parents room. She called her mom and suddenly fell on the floor. The little girl was covered in blood lying unresponsive. Immediately, she was rushed to a children’s hospital.

Zola was fighting for her life. Then the doctors discovered that the hemorrhage was caused by a rare genetic disorder in her body. It was Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. WebMD describes the disease such that it “weakens the connective tissues of your body that can make your joints loose and your skin thin and easily bruised. It also can weaken blood vessels and organs.”

Apparently, there is no cure and can only be managed with extensive treatments. Zola would have a lifetime of bleeding, bruising and pain.

After a week, the little girl was discharged from the hospital. But then over the months following her recovery, Britney noticed a change in her daughter.

An Encounter With God

One day out of nowhere, Zola asked, “When will I see God again?”

She started talking to her parents about the time she died and went to see God.

The 4 year old said that she sat next to Jesus and gave Him a hug.

Moreover, Britney found out through Zola’s school teacher that she started drawing pictures of God. Also, the school teacher told Britney how Zola often have an argument with a classmate about God being real.

“These are not things that we’ve put in her head,” Britney said. “She had an experience, like she has gone through something that we can’t explain. And most people can’t.”

An Iranian Muslim Meets Jesus After Dying In A Car Accident

An Iranian Muslim man met Jesus after dying in a car accident. His incredible story is hope for all Muslims. Jesus is the one true Messiah.

He was a Muslim who only believed that Jesus was merely a prophet. But that all changed after he had a tragic car accident when he was 25 years old. And the former Muslim recounted what happened during that time.

The accident happened so quickly and then all of a sudden he saw himself in the car.

“I don’t know how long it lasted but at some point I felt like I was watching myself from outside my body. I saw myself in the car and saw that I had an accident,” he recalled.

All the while he saw both “something black” and a “white light.” He was terrified of the black things coming at him. While on the other hand, one bright shining light also came after him. But it brought him comfort and peace. He just wanted to stay in the presence of that bright light.

Then he heard a voice from the bright light but he didn’t understand. Shortly after that, his soul went back inside his body and his eyes were opened again.

“I saw my brother, he was next to me. He was crying and he was calling to me. It was when the bright shining one came, that was when I was able to hear that my brother was crying for me,” he said.

The One True God

That near death experience created a spark within him to seek God.

“I didn’t know that voice was Jesus who had given me life. But after that I got hold of a Bible and got a full hold of Jesus’ film.”

“For 27 years, I would call out to Allah but I felt like he was never speaking to me. He didn’t hear me. There was no communication. But when I spoke to Jesus right away, answers would come.”

The former Iranian Muslim man’s search for the truth led to many dreams. And Jesus would show Himself in these dreams so he would understand and believe.

Jesus Taught Him The Gospel

In his dream, Jesus showed him what happened to Him while He was still on earth.

God showed him the resurrection and how He went back to His Father. He showed him what was written in the Scriptures. Jesus became his personal teacher.

“It was like a teacher in my dreams, teaching me about Jesus and His life. Whenever I had something that was really confusing and strange to me and I didn’t understand, in my dream God would through Jesus show me something and I would understand,” he said.

So he then became a believer of Jesus. He left his old life and shared his new faith with his family and testified how Jesus changed his life.

Near Death Experience: One Man’s Story Of Life After Death

People having a near death experience is more common than one may realize.  John Burke, author and pastor of Gateway Church, recently published a book based on research he has been doing on near death experiences.  The book, published in 2015, is called Imagine Heaven: Near-Death Experiences, God’s Promises, and the Exhilarating Future That Awaits You.  In his book, Burke discusses over 100 accounts of individual near death experiences and how they relate to Scripture.

Seth Cowan’s Near Death Experience

May 13, 2016 was a typical day for Seth Cowan until his heart stopped beating.  Seth was suffering from a heart attack due to blockage in his main artery.  He began having chest pain and called for help, but those around him thought he was joking.  He called 911 himself and staggered out to the end of the driveway.

What happened next was what science calls a near death experience. Seth recalls, slowly losing consciousness as he rode in the ambulance.  As he slipped away a glorious white light suddenly appeared…and he had an encounter with Jesus.

Statistically, only 10% of people survive this type of heart attack.  However, Seth was one of the few that survived to tell his story.  It simply wasn’t his time yet.  After this near death experience, Seth shares the love of Christ and let people know that Jesus is real.  He concludes, “This is my new job: to testify on behalf of my Lord and Savior Jesus and to shout all praises to Jesus in a positive way.”

Finding hope

John Burke presents similar findings in his book, Imagine Heaven, that reveal how the persons life was impacted after their near death experience.  Many report having a more active relationship with God, just as Seth Cowan did.

As believers, we have hope beyond this life.  We can trust in God’s promise be to “give us a hope and future” as believers.  Let’s trust Him at His word!
