Actor Max Ehrich gets baptized while filming on the set of his new Christian film “Southern Gospel.” While preparing for his role, he studied the Bible, which deepened his faith.

In the upcoming faith-based film “Southern Gospel,” Max Ehrich portrayed the role of Samuel Allen. It’s a film based on a true story about a rock star in the 1960s who was “given a second chance in life” and later became a pastor.

“I cried when I read the script,” he said. “I really fought hard for this role because I knew deep in my soul – I was so drawn to it.”
He also shared that he really studied the Bible to prepare for the role. He had to do so to embrace the plot of the Christian movie and never expected it would bring so much impact on him.

“And it really deepened my faith intensely to the point that when the character got baptized,” he revealed. “I actually, in real life, decided to get baptized.”

Samuel, the lead role in the film, is about a rock star who grew up in church but hated Christians. Later, a life-changing encounter with God redeems him.
The actor stressed that films like this are what people need to see nowadays. He pointed it out because “it’s a film that has morals and spreads a lot of light.”
“It’s really about forgiveness and grace,” Max emphasized. “It’s really about the grace of God.”
According to the report, “Southern Gospel” will be released in theaters on March 10.
