Nick Vujicic shares 9 daring life lessons we all can learn today in Sadie Robertson’s podcast and it included, “Expect worse days ahead.”
1. Remain humble.
Nick said that a lack of obedience and a sense of entitlement will get a person out of God’s mercy and umbrella of covering. But to stop that from happening, always remain humble. As James 4:6 (NLT) says, “And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
2. Be thankful for what you have instead of being angry about what you don’t have.
Even though he grew up without limbs, Nick said that he always feels loved by the people around him. At first, he was so angry about all the bullying and mistreatment he received for not having arms and legs. He was depressed that he even attempted suicide by age 10. But when he encountered Jesus, he learned the attitude of being grateful.
3. If you don’t get a miracle, be one.
“The greatest miracle I received is my soul being saved by knowing Jesus. And through that, I could help other people know that Jesus loves them, too.”
Like Nick, you can be a miracle in someone else’s life, too.
4. You don’t know what you got until it’s gone.
Nick always loves playing soccer. When he was young, he played a lot with his neighbors and friends. But one day, he got into an accident that led him to be bedridden for three straight days. He felt disabled for the very first time! He realized that arms and legs won’t give you happiness. What gives you happiness is the attitude of gratitude and realizing that you can do so much better with what you’re given. That was the time he realized that God can use a man without arms and legs, like him, amazingly.
5. When one door closes, another one opens.
Nick recalled the first time he fell in love with a woman. He had been in love with her for four years, but was told that he wasn’t enough for her family. He was so heartbroken. But years after that, he met his wife now who has been his partner for every endeavor. And he became sure of her when she stayed at one of the lowest seasons of his life.

Romantic, isn’t it?
6. God first now.
One of the ways we can honor God is through our relationships. Nick shared that co-living and sleeping together outside of marriage is not okay. In his very own words, “If your man can’t put in action “God first now,” how on earth are you going to expect him to show God being put first in your marriage… if you can’t put God first now?”
Let that sink in.
7. Walk by faith and not by sight.
Nick said, “You don’t know what you can achieve until you try.” He added, “And you don’t know what God can do until you actually hand over what you have to Him.”
Realizing that he could do so much better, he started learning a few activities that people with limbs normally do. Like swimming, learning musical instruments, and playing.

8. You’re not here to just be comfortable.
Nick Vujicic shares 9 daring life lessons that include, “Expect worse days ahead.”
Sometimes, we have to allow God to refine us through the fire. Like Nick said, “The God of the mountains is also the God of the valleys.”
“We have to understand that we’re here on a mission, to tell others about Him. And to expect worse days ahead, I’m sorry. But we can be optimistic that when you go through that, you will have that support base– the counselors, the friendships, the books, podcasts like Sadie’s to encourage us along the way.”
9. There’s no more important thing today other than loving God with all your heart.
Last but definitely not least, Nick admonishes us to, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind’” (Matthew 22:37, NLT).
