A University in Pennsylvania is added to the list of campuses touched by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit since it started in Asbury.

Since the Asbury Revival broke out, the fire has spread to many “universities, high schools, grade schools, and churches.” It sparked a spiritual awakening not just across America but also to the whole world. And now, a college campus in Pennsylvania has been added to the list.

On Wednesday, revivalist Rick Curry shared on Facebook what’s currently happening at the University of Valley Forge in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.

“GREAT NEWS! Valley Forge College in Pennsylvania is still in chapel service since 11 a.m. and school has cancelled classes for TOMORROW!” he wrote. “There is a move of God coming no building can contain and no ministry will control. Reported from trusted friend!”

Students Filled By The Spirit

Then on Friday, Rick posted another update from the College. This time, he shared photos of students praying for each other, being filled by the Holy Spirit as they worshiped God.

He wrote, “Valley Forge College! Update. We are so excited to see the Holy Spirit rest upon a generation and raise them us to take their place in the storyline of history! Let’s go! Let’s encourage, support and get excited this generation can change the world!”

Furthermore, another believer reported about the outpouring in the University. Dr. Michael Yeager of Jesus is Lord Ministries said, “there is a beautiful move of the Holy Spirit happening.”

“Jesus is at work in the hearts and lives of those waiting in His Presence,” he said. “Thankful for His grace & kindness. Better is one day in your house than a thousand elsewhere.”

Apparently, the University of Valley Forge has had an incredible history since its founding in 1939. According to Charisma News, the founder faced a challenge in 1978 as they were called out by the Supreme Court to defend their rights with the campus. But by God’s grace and favor, they won the case and managed to keep the “beautiful 106-acre campus” and raise Godly leaders.

15,000 Cookies Were Delivered To Essential Workers After 2 Dads Made A Joke About Baking

More than 15,000 cookies were delivered to essential workers after two dads made a joke about having a bake-off competition.

Pennsylvania Dads

In April, Scott McKenzie and his friend Jeremy Uhrich from Huntington, Pennsylvania joked about having a bake-off. What started as a friendly competition between these dads to know who is a better baker among them would actually lead to something meaningful.

Scott was forced to pause from his associate coaching job at a local liberal arts college due to coronavirus pandemic. Instead of slacking-off during the pandemic, he set himself a goal to learn new skills weekly. He first started to learn cookie baking.

Cookie Bake-off

The 58-year-old posted his first baked cookie batch on Facebook to share his success with his friends. Though the cookies were not perfect, he was proud of his outcome as they were pretty tasty. However, the middle school teacher Jeremy commented on his friend’s post saying that he could do better. What was meant as a joke became the start of the cookie bake-off.

Jeremy’s former student Rachel Kyle also joined the “cookie wars”. Scott and Jeremy decided to have Huntingdon Borough Mayor Davis Wessels to be the judge of their friendly competition. It was the 18-year-old Rachel that won the top cookie honors.

Cookies for Caregivers

The dads then decided to drop-off the remaining cookies from the competition to the essential workers in their community. It was then the start of the program called “Cookies For Caregivers” initiated by these dads.

“Cookies for Caregivers was born as a reflection of the COVID-19 experience in 2020,” notes the group’s Facebook page. “Many folks continued to go to work and serve their community as others stayed home, or worked from home. We decided to show our gratitude to those working to serve us by serving them freshly baked cookies as a modest sign of our appreciation and respect.”

Essential Workers

Hundreds of amateur cookie bakers supported the initiative. They selflessly dedicated their time and effort to their community. With many people involved, they organized a round-robin schedule of four bakers per week.

After eight months, Cookies For Caregivers gave out over 15,600 cookies to essential workers in hospitals, schools, and police stations.

“This is a direct reflection of our community as a whole, and a credit to them,” Uhrich said. “This community is small in size but huge in heart.”

Mother Saves Her Two Sons From A Terrible Car Accident

A mother of two saved her sons’ life from a terrifying accident.

The accident

It was a day like any other when Jenna Casado Rabberman from Lancaster, Pennsylvania (mother of a six-week-old and 2-year-old boy) drove her children home from pre-school and stopped by the store in their Honda CRV.

But just a few minutes from reaching their final destination, a speeding driver ran a red light and landed right into her car the with the children inside.

The crash was so severe that their Honda was completely totaled. It was a miracle that they all made it out alive.

“You never think it will happen to you,” Jenna said.

Because Jenna made sure her sons were buckled in their car seats properly, both of the kids went unharmed. Jenna walked away with minor injuries, but nothing severe. – Jenna thanks God for saving their lives.

“My boys escaped without a scratch but the paramedics told me it could have been very different had I not taken the extra 2 minutes to be sure they were buckled correctly. I will be fine, my kids are fine, everything else can be replaced. Sending thanks to God for keeping us safe.” she added.

The trending momentum around this story surrounds the importance of utilizing car seats and making sure parents buckle their kids correctly – every single time. Praise God Jenna did a good job taking care of her children’s safety before starting the car.

Take the two extra minutes

The picture above is from the accident that took place in September of 2017. The story has spontaneously gone viral once again, reminding us all of the importance of car seats! Every mother, father, aunt, uncle, friend, etc. needs to know the proper way to take care of children, including how to function a car seat.

It may take a few more minutes of your time, but the lives of our children are worth the two extra minutes it takes to double-check their buckles.

Yet even when these situations do happen, we are thankful for a God that keeps his eyes on our children and delivers them from life-treating situations.

State Representative Stephanie Borowicz Comments On The Controversy Surrounding Her Statehouse Prayer

A Republican lawmaker made national headlines after saying a controversial prayer at the State House and now speaks about it.

The Controversial Prayer

State Representative Stephanie Borowicz gave a powerful opening prayer at the swearing-in ceremony for Pennsylvania’s first Muslim representative. Filled with God’s presence and overwhelmed with the magnificence of her surroundings, she took the podium for the swearing-in of Democratic Rep. Movita Johnson-Harrell of Philadelphia.

“It was so neat that you can see the scripture as you stand up there, and pray, that we all know the truth, and the truth shall set you free,” Stephanie told Todd Starnes. “It’s right there, and then there’s Deuteronomy, is right behind you.”

“There are over 60 Bible verse references in the Pennsylvania Capitol, and even thinking about it makes me teary-eyed. We’re losing those things,” she added.

After flipping a Democratic seat, Stephanie was elected to office in 2018. She has always been open about her beliefs and being a pastor’s wife.

“At the name of Jesus, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess, Jesus, that you are Lord,” she declared during her prayer.

Stephanie also asked for forgiveness during her prayer and declared that Jesus is the only hope of America.

“God, forgive us. Jesus, we’ve lost sight of you,” Stephanie continued. “We’ve forgotten you, God, in our country. We’re asking you to forgive us. Jesus, you are our only hope.”

Many viewed the prayer as ill-timed and divisive. The politician defended herself by saying that her actions were just overflow of her daily spiritual routine.

“That’s how I pray every day,” she said in an interview.

Kris Eng, the chairperson of the Centre County Republican Party, defended Stephanie:

“She’s always been very clear about her beliefs. She’s never hidden anything. She makes it clear that Christ is the center of her life, and that is her belief,” Kris said in a phone interview Wednesday, later adding, “Why is she now vilified because of how she prayed?”
