According to a report, the world’s largest porn website has 130 million visitors every day. The reality is the issue of pornography has become endemic. Especially when COVID-19 unfolded, and people stayed at home but remained online.

Christian author Sathiya Sam, who helps men overcome pornography addiction, reveals its demonic nature. Apparently, after hearing many stories of the people he helps, he sees a common thread woven by the enemy. He says, “there is ‘a demonic component’ to pornography consumption.”
“The reality is, when you engage in something as toxic as pornography. You’re almost like literally dancing with the devil,” Sathiya explained in an interview with Faithwire. “Like you’re really engaging with something demonic and giving him a foothold.”
He also added that some men might experience relapse after successfully distancing themselves from porn.
“Because they have not built the spiritual maturity to actually sustain the breakthrough,” the author remarked.
A Former Porn Addict
Sathiya grew up in a Christian home. But because porn was rampant on the internet, he was exposed to it at 11-years-old.
During high school, it became “a regular habit.” Then during college, he became a “full-blown addict.” The author recalled how pornography was “the only way” he knew to “cope with the pressures of life.”
Later on, Sathiya encountered Jesus and realized he had to give up his addiction to pornography.
“That’s when I realized I really had a problem,” he said. “I think up until then, I told myself, ‘I can kick this thing when I want. I’ll stop when I need to. When I get married, I’ll fix it.’ All of those lies we tell ourselves that are totally false. That’s when I realized I needed to get some help.”
It took five years for the Christian author to get rid of the addiction finally.
“I made up my mind, in that season,” he recalled. “that, ‘When I figure this thing out, I will do everything in my power to help as many other guys get free as well.’ So I was free for about two-and-a-half years before I felt a release from the Lord to step out and start Deep Clean, which is my ministry [to help men beat porn addiction].”
And indeed, today, Sathiya is helping men overcome porn addiction with his ministry.
“The thing that we always tell guys is it is better that you confess than get caught,” he told Faithwire. “And that is true whether you’re in a marriage or not — in a relationship or not. … It’s better to take that first step to be proactive, to do the hard thing upfront so life can get easier afterward.”
Also, Sathiya encourages everyone to “be transparent about their sin, to seek help, and to find recovery.”
