With the Asbury Revival still going strong, Ben Hughes, the founder of Pour It Out Ministries, calls fellow believers to fan the flame and to hold spontaneous prayer and worship meetings of their own.
Ben Hughes
Ben and his wife, Jodie, have been ministering around the globe and preaching the Gospel with signs, wonders, healing, and miracles. They also serve as “media missionaries,” doing television shows on GOD TV and Sid Roth’s ISN Network. At the same time, they are the hosts of “Pour It Out With Ben and Jodie Hughes.”
And as a media missionary, the Christian leader shares heavenly insights and revelations on his social media. Moreover, at the height of God’s moving throughout America, Ben urges fellow pastors and ministry leaders to hold revival prayer meetings.
“This is a GREAT time to call a spontaneous prayer and worship meeting,” he urges fellow pastors and ministry leaders. “No agenda other than just seeking Jesus!”

10 Quick Tips
And so, he shared ten powerful tips on how to host a prayer meeting.
His first tip was, “Keep it all about Jesus.”
Followed by “Make it about the macro.” He added, “Just go after Jesus, His presence, and that he’d pour out His Spirit afresh on your meeting, church, city, families, and neighbors….”
Third tip: “Don’t make it at all about the micro – no praying for minor details or even personal needs, Aunt Betty’s bunions, etc. (there’s a time and place for that, but this is not that).”
Fourth, “Don’t put any limits on how you want God to show up. Just give Him an unconditional, unqualified YES.”
The fifth tip is “The prayer meeting should be ‘led.’ Err on the side of freedom but also make people feel safe that there is leadership keeping watch over things.”
Next tip, “Don’t allow the prayer meeting to be highjacked by just one or two… sometimes it’s a good idea to just “invite” people to pray (addressing the whole group – of course, everyone can pray out loud when everyone’s praying together).”
The seventh tip is, “Spend a lot of time praying in the Spirit corporately.”
The eighth tip is most noteworthy. Ben said, “If God is moving… lean into it… pour fuel on the fire and not a wet blanket.”
Then, he also said, “Don’t get surprised when demons manifest. The key is – are they coming in or going out (of course, they will be going out if you are in a room full of people going after Jesus. Demons can’t stand the glory.) Cast them out but don’t make a spectacle of it.”
And the last tip is the same as the first tip, “Keep it all about Jesus.”
May Jesus be glorified in our gatherings.
