Preacher Shares One Of His Biggest Failures And The Lessons He Learned

Andrew Wommack shared one of his biggest failures in handling people.

One of the Biggest Failures

The founder and president of Andrew Wommack Ministries, Inc., and Charis Bible College shared one of his biggest failures. It was his failure to delegate. He would counsel and pray for those in need because he felt more mature to do it. And he thought he could do it better than most people in his church.

“I was afraid that if I called… if people came forward for healing and if I let somebody else pray for them, that they may not do it as well as I did, and so honestly, I did not delegate well,” Andrew humbly admitted. This mindset is tempting for many leaders. They can burn out because they believe the lie that nobody can do it as well as they can.

Moreover, Andrew shared that he’s learned that leaders can’t effectively lots and lots of people. At the ministry, they have almost 1,100 employees, yet he only oversees 5 people – each of them deals with different groups in their ministry. That’s why it’s os important for leaders to learn how to delegate.

Leaders fear Delegation

Many leaders fail to delegate because they are perfectionists. They refuse to turn things over, fearing that others will make mistakes.

“You know, I’m amazed at how God has committed things to us and has given us such leeway that we can make mistakes and stuff, and yet he doesn’t pull back His calling,” Andrew said. It’s written in Romans 11:29, “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.”

In conclusion, learn to delegate. God has called us to do things that are bigger than ourselves. We can’t do it alone!

The young football player, CJ Woods II, shared his ambition for he grows up in a video his mom recorded in 2020. The conversation between the mother and son that is so heartwarming.

“I’m gonna be an inventor still, but I’m gonna be a preacher,” CJ told his mom, Lauren. The young boy then pretended to preach a message to the congregation.

“God is opening the door for you,” he said. “You just got to have the courage to walk through that door. If you don’t walk through that door, all that stuff is gonna come behind you..”

He encouraged, saying, “God is gonna fight your battles for you..”

Further, CJ shared, “If you’re gonna do something nice to a person, it’s gonna come right back to you. And God’s gonna bless you with a blessing…”

How to Respond When The Devil Attacks Your Mind

The young boy also talked about how he responds whenever the devil attacks his mind. He said, “Sometimes in my football games, the devil comes. He’s like ‘you’re gonna lose CJ.’ It keeps whispering on his head. And then God is like fighting him in my mind.. Jesus is telling me ‘you got this CJ.’”

Then he concluded, “So, no matter what you do, you can always get up because God will always put His hand. He’ll be like ‘are you okay’? You just got to keep your mind on the prize. Don’t let go and you can always come back. Never quit!”

“Never quit.. because what’s the point?.. You can’t let that devil get into your mind!”

“If you trust Him, nothing can go wrong,” he stressed. “If you don’t, then think ‘He is my Savior, He is my Savior, and He is always on my side… Keep your eyes on the prize.”

In the end, CJ sang a worship song with his mother.

Dan Mohler

Dan Mohler was the pastor who led the well-known evangelist Todd White to Jesus Christ. And it was also he who helped Regina see the goodness and love of God.

“The measuring stick for God’s goodness wasn’t found in the people that were supposed to love me but it was only found in Christ crucified. He died because of my created value not because of my sin. Yes His blood atoned for my sin but He chose to die because I was that valuable to Him,” she testified.

Regina broke free from the fear and shame that has been holding her captive. She followed Jesus Christ and is now a student at the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. In October 2020, she finally met Dan personally for the first time. Just as his teachings are what she needed six years ago, his teachings for this season are what she again needed right now. She’s now engaged with her fiance and Dan talked about marriage during the campfire.

Satanist Renounces Dark Past, Accepts God’s Forgiveness, and is Baptized!

On February 5, 2017, avowed Satanist Jacob McKelvy renounced darkness and accepted God’s healing forgiveness less than two years after opening the Satanist Greater Church of Lucifer in Houston. Not only that, but as a certified minister, he baptized his own wife – his first Christian convert – who began to dabble in darkness long before the two were acquainted.

God’s work in Jacob’s life defies many Christians’ limited expectations of God. Jacob’s story goes to show that nobody is beyond God’s grace. God never abandons His people. Those hateful billboards that scream “GOD HATES SINNERS” could not be further from the truth. God hates sin – not the sinner.

Bitten By The Snake

If you are familiar with common portrayals of the devil, it may come as no surprise that Jacob’s spiritual rebellion came after a snakebite. Specifically, after his sister died of a poisonous snakebite, heartbroken Jacob did a 180 from the religion of his past – Mormonism – to full-fledged defiance against God.

“There was a lot of hopelessness and feeling of powerlessness that drew me to become a [satanist].” Jacob felt that God had abandoned him, and drew comfort from the satanic philosophy of being his own God – just as Satan wanted his own kingdom and became ruler over this broken, sinful world (John 12:31). Satan even tempted Jesus with the fleeting mirage of power, but Jesus stood firm against the devil (Matthew 4: 1-11).

It was also Satan who took on the form of a slithery snake and tempted Eve to eat the apple to gain perfect knowledge (and lose innocence). And it was again Satan who tempted Jacob to glorify himself.

Leader of the Rebellion

A king wants a kingdom, and ultimately Jacob yearned to lead his own devil-worshiping congregation. In October 2015, he founded the Greater Church of Lucifer in Houston – to the dismay and outrage of local religious groups – and for that matter, religious groups around the world.

Public Outcry

In Houston, angry picketers lined the streets outside of McKelvy’s church, shouting intolerance and spewing hate against the satanist. Soon, picketers forgot the real target of their hate, and turned hate on each other, warring over interfaith differences.

In other parts of the U.S., the opening of the satanic church caused some to question why America still allows freedom of religion.

And in Nigeria, one preacher led a prayer asking God to release wild dogs to chew McKelvy’s flesh, rendering him unable to lead his church. The Nigerian congregation enthusiastically applauded.

A Shining Light

But amidst all the hate, emerged a shining light in the form of Pastor Robert Hogan from Spring First Church – just down the road from the satanic church. The day after McKelvy’s church opened, Pastor Hogan kindly asked his parishioners to refrain from picketing: “If you want to picket it, picket it on your knees.”

From day one after the satanic church opened its doors, Pastor Hogan was convinced, via fervent prayer and listening for God’s word, that the Greater Church of Lucifer would be a hotbed for Christian revival. He did all he could to create a welcoming, loving environment at his church and waited patiently for God’s perfect timing.

Sure enough, it wasn’t too long before the desperate, empty McKelvy walked into Pastor Hogan’s church. After a four hour conversation with Hogan, McKelvy surrendered his life to Christ – an answer to prayers. According to McKelvy, “Robert’s probably one of the best men I’ve ever met in my life. He’s the real deal.”

The Awe-Inspiring Aftermath

On February 5, 2017, McKelvy and his wife renounced their satanic ties, renewed their wedding vows, and were baptised in front of a tearful congregation that had prayed for this day to come. Soon after, the doors of the Greater Church of Lucifer closed for good – not due to a rapid pack of dogs, but due to the prayers and love of devoted Christians.

As a testament to his newfound faith, Jacob spoke these powerful words as he renewed his wedding vows, “We were mired in the shadows of the adversarial influence and knew no love outside of each other. Today I REBUKE, DENOUNCE, AND BREAK the satanic covenant by the BLOOD OF JESUS.”

Pastor Hogan continues to meet with Jacob to ensure he is well-grounded in Scriptural truth – the basis for spiritual growth. Jacob hopes that his testimony will light the way for others who are far from, or even opposed to, God. Jacob insists, “No matter how far away from God you think you are, there is always a way home.”

God Creates Brain For Baby Born Without Brain, And Today He Becomes A Preacher

A baby born without a brain becomes a preacher of the Word of God and testify God’s miracle of creating a brain for him.

Baby Born With Hydrocephalus

Jacob Phillips was born with a condition called “hydrocephalus” on Dec. 12, 1977, in West Monroe, Louisiana. It’s a disease wherein water is formed in the brain. And in Jacob’s case, he “had partial skull formation” and “had no brain.” Hence, doctors told his parents that he only had an hour to live. But God gave Jacob a chance at life and defied all odds.

Amidst the ordeal, Jacob’s mother trusted God. She clung to prayer and asked for God’s intervention in her baby boy’s life. Apparently, before Jacob, she had a miscarriage with her first baby. And she didn’t want to lose another baby again.

Also, prayers poured in for Jacob and his family from friends and church, especially his grandmother. He recalled that his grandmother told him she fought for him despite the doctors’ words.

‘You don’t know what my God can do!’ was what she told the doctors following their prediction of Jacob’s death.

Baby without brain

God Creates A Brain For Baby Jacob

In Jacob’s book ‘Born Without A Brain,’ he revealed the miracle that happened when God created a brain for him. A nurse named Susie witnessed it before her eyes as the Lord healed him.

She wrote, “I remember the baby without a brain. His head was shaped like a peanut. He had hydrocephalus. We transferred him to Ochsner’s Hospital in New Orleans. The Lord healed that child. The neurosurgeon called him a vegetable that day; I was infuriated! The baby’s head was so filled with fluid, doctors didn’t know if surgery would help. I think Jacob [Phillips] was 3 when his mom brought him back to see me, I wept that day! I am so thankful the Lord let me see His power.”

Today, the now 44-year-old credits God and his relationship with Him for everything. Against all odds, he survived.

“I strive to keep a close relationship with God because He gave me what I needed to live,” he remarked.

An ex-mafia boss was born again and is now a preacher of the gospel of Jesus. He aims to remind fellow believers of the truth of heaven and hell.

Pastor Greg Laurie gave Michael Franzese, the former mob boss, the pulpit in Harvest Christian Fellowship to speak about the gentleness of Jesus. At the same time, he reminded the congregation of what the hell looks like.

He said, “I want you to stop for a minute and think of the worst thing that you’ve ever encountered in your life and realize that that worst thing will never go away. … This is your constant thorn in your side forever. And now put yourself in Hell, which is a million times worse and will never end. That’s Hell.”

But, he encouraged them of Jesus’ salvation in which they would no longer experience hell because of Him.

Moreover, the 71-years-old emphasized Jesus’ gentleness. “Today, our culture seems to celebrate men who speak their mind and pull no punches as if being a bully is an admirable trait. On the contrary, Jesus himself said, ‘Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.'”

“Jesus was direct when He had to be, but He had a knack for communicating with gentleness,” he said.

Truthfully, gentleness was alien to the mafia prince. Throughout his years, he was arrested 18 times for different criminal activities.

Transformed Life

His life of darkness put him in the 18th spot of 1986 Fortune Magazine’s “Fifty Most Wealthy And Powerful Mafia Bosses.” At the age of 29, he led 300 mobsters.

But, God had another plan for Michael…and being a criminal was not part of it.

Michael encountered God during his time in prison. He recalled, “I dove into my Bible. I prayed every day. It was my closest time with the Lord because I had no choice.”

“As I stand here today, I’m probably the most blessed, most fortunate person that’s ever going to walk up on this stage and talk to you about anything. The reason I say that is that, had I been left up to my own to do what I wanted to do with my life, I’d either be dead or in prison for the rest of my life.”

He continued, “And quite honestly, that’s what I deserved. That’s what I earned for myself, having spent over 20 years on the street, every day in violation of both God’s laws and the laws of man.”

“And I realized God made it crystal clear for me that if he didn’t have a different plan and purpose for my life, I wouldn’t be here today. You know what, he’s got a plan and a purpose for every one of your lives.”

God Turns A Depressed, Armless Man Into A Great Inspiring Preacher

A man born without arms questioned and hated God for not giving him arms. But now, he glorifies God as he became a great preacher and continues to inspire the world with his story.

Daniel Ritchie grew up having a normal childhood. His parents loved him and trained him not to say things like “I can’t.” However, outside of the home, he faced relentless bullying.

Darkness And Depression

“I remember coming home from a trip to the grocery store with my mom at seven years old, in tears. Because someone had said insulting things to me. There was the time that I had to fend off a rude kid at Disney World — the happiest place on earth. And then there was the time my parents and I were asked to leave a restaurant because I was eating with my feet,” he recalled.

The constant judgment he received from people eventually led him to a place of darkness and depression. Then he started hating people and questioned God.

“God if You love me, why didn’t You make me like everybody else?” he told God. And Daniel became a hyper introvert.

Hearing The Gospel

But one day, a schoolmate invited him to church to hang out and play dodge ball. There, Daniel heard the Gospel for the first time. A youth pastor shared a simple devotion that literally changed his life.

“Even when I absolutely hated God and questioned His judgment, and I was frustrated…He was pursuing me…” he said.

From that moment on, all his doubts disappeared and he gave his heart to Jesus. And days and weeks right after he got saved, all the weight he was carrying lifted. More so, he started to see himself as God’s amazing creation.

Becoming A Great Preacher

At 16-years-old, God led Daniel to teach and preach. And for 18 years now, he is still speaking to a lot of people.

“Only God can take an armless hermit and use him to go tell the world about His hope,” Daniel said.

Today, he is 34 and married with two beautiful kids. Moreover, he continues to change lives as a pastor.

“I want people to look at my life and to see how God takes broken things and unlikely people. And by His grace, He stitches them back together and uses them for His glory,” declared Daniel.

A 17-year-old young man who belongs to the generation often labeled as the “post-Christian generation” is using TikTok to help his generation find Jesus.

Elijah Lamb is the teenager who preaches to his 660,000+ followers on TikTok with 17.6 million likes. His TikTok bio reads, “saved and set free by Jesus.”

Although he grew up in church, the 17-year-old admitted he was merely a churchgoer. Jesus was never real to him and Elijah definitely wasn’t a preacher. Until one day his grandparents took him with them on a missions trip to Mexico. And there, his life totally changed.

A Mission To Win His Generation

Since then, God planted in Elijah’s heart the desire to preach. The young man didn’t know what to do until a conviction suddenly came to him about TikTok.

Apparently, 60 percent of TikTok users belong to Gen Z. They often spend most of their time on this social media platform. And according to Pew, in the U.S., Gen Z “is twice as likely to identify as atheist compared to the rest of the country.” This is the reason why they are often labeled as the “post-Christian generation.” However, Elijah is on a mission to change that.

So, he took a modern spin to educate both young Christians and unbelievers through TikTok.

Preaching Using TikTok

Elijah started with posting Christian apologetic videos last summer. And they eventually gained millions of views. Now, he has his own online congregation with over 660,000 active followers.

“Well the overall goal of what I’m doing with TikTok is to reach both Christians and non-Christians. Especially kids my age who don’t take the Gospel, or the Bible, or the church seriously. To show them that they should,” he said.

But Lamb isn’t alone in this mission on the social media platform. Christian hashtags on TikTok like #Jesus have reached 7.6 billion, #Christian reached 6.4 billion, #ChristianTikTok reached 479 million, and #DefendTheGospel have reached 14.9 million.

Reaching The Gen Z

Moreover, Elijah also pointed out how pastors and church leaders nowadays don’t know how to reach Gen Z given the fast-paced internet involvement of this generation. And as a member of the generation, he said he has a unique influence because they immediately have his respect.

He calls it his ministry. Because if God hadn’t led him to what he is doing today, he said he’d be definitely still working at a sandwich place.

Praise God that Elijah is fighting for his generation to be saved. And God’s not done yet. Let’s continue to pray that every Gen Z member will come to know Jesus.

105-Year-Old Preacher Hattie Mae Allen Celebrates 57 Years Of Ministry

At 105 years of age, Pastor Hattie Mae Allen is still preaching the Gospel! Pastor Hattie ministers at a church called, “Jesus, the Church of the Living God, the Pillar and Ground of the Truth, Inc,” in Temple, Texas. She has been preaching every Sunday for the last 57 years.

Her church calls her, “teacher,” and ministry has been part of her family for generations. She is one of 12 children born to a church bishop. And out of the 12 kids, she is one of five preachers.

We put Jesus first

On Sunday, June 9th, while celebrating her ministry, Hattie said, “We put Jesus first.” Her daughter, Ruth Freeman said it was beautiful to see her mother, who was raised in a family that read the Bible every day, live out Luke 21:15.

Hatties has focused on this scripture ever since she arrived at Jesus Church. “For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.”

Ruth says, “For her to still be able to do that, and still have that desire at 105, we honor her. That’s just wonderful. That’s a blessing!”

Wise Words from Hattie Mae Allen

At her 57 year celebration, overseen by Bishop Aaron Toliver, Hattie said, “God’s love is the only thing between human beings and the lake of fire. If we don’t obey it, there’s nothing between us and the lake.”

Exhorting the people to be holy she said, “We have to be separate from everything that is not Him. We put Jesus first. The love of God makes you love everybody.”

Hattie didn’t receive a formal ministry degree from a Bible college, she was ordained in 1962. When a reporter asked her about her education she said, “I have a PhD in Jesus…I have a pure heart’s desire. And that is what God will honor in the end.”
