NCAA Champion David Carr unashamedly proclaimed Jesus during a press conference when he was asked about his thoughts on becoming a finalist a few months ago.

In an Instagram video he posted last April 4, the Christian athlete shared how he responded to a question in an interview. It was during a press conference after he made it as a finalist this year. An interviewer asked David’s “thoughts and emotions on becoming a finalist.”

David then boldly proclaimed, “I just want to say not I but through Christ in me. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and I truly put all my trust and faith in Him. And He’s the reason I’m in the finals because I just been keep putting my faith in Him.”

Outspoken Christian

The NFL player has always been outspoken with his Christian faith to the public. Furthermore, his Instagram bio reads, “Saved by the grace of God,” and highlights the Bible verse in Romans 8:28. Perhaps it’s his life verse, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.”

Also, in a pinned post, David shared a lesson he learned straight from the Scripture.

“Noah lived in a time of great corruption and sin,” he wrote. “And he never gave into sin. He was seen as different by other because of this. It was his unwillingness to live in the way others lived that set him apart and allowed God to choose Noah for this Difficult task.”

Through Noah’s story, the athlete remarked about pleasing God more than worrying about men’s opinions.

“It didn’t matter what the other people thought of Noah,” he remarked. “It mattered what God thought.”

Ultimately, David urged his followers to “be better” and have a courageous heart like Noah.

During the Women’s College World Series pregame press conference, the Oklahoma softball team proclaimed Jesus saying, “we’re not afraid to lose.. our life is in Christ.”

Handling Pressure In Every Game

In the press conference, an interviewer asked the players of Oklahoma about their team’s secret strategy. Players Grace Lyons, Jadya Coleman, and Alyssa Brito answered the question gracefully and full of faith.

They were asked how they “handle the unique pressure” that comes with every game. And how they kept their “joy for so long” when, often, the anxieties could easily set in. That’s when Grace gave a profound answer.

“The only way you can have joy that doesn’t fade away is from the Lord,” she remarked. “Any other type of joy is actually happiness that comes from circumstances and outcomes. Joy from the Lord is the only thing that could keep you motivated, just in a good mindset no matter the outcomes..”

Grace explained that softball could never bring them security because of “how much failure that comes with it.” But having the Lord made all the difference.

Then another player, Jayda, shared how she didn’t find fulfillment in the game until she found Christ. And that losing the game is never an issue for them.

“1000 percent agree with Grace Lyons.,” she said. “I think that’s what makes our team so strong, because we’re not afraid to lose. It’s not the end of the world if we do lose. Yes, we worked our butts off to be here and want to win. But it’s not the end of the world as our life is in Christ. And that’s all that matters.”

Further, Alyssa revealed how they keep their “eyes up” as a team.

“You can’t find fulfillment in the outcome whether that’s good or bad,” she stressed. “I think that’s why we’re so steady in what we’re doing. And our love for each other, and our love for the game. Because we know this game is giving us the opportunity to glorify God.”

Alyssa shared that her biggest motivation is playing for something much bigger than the game.

“I think that’s what brings me so much joy no matter the outcome,” she conclude. “You can’t find fulfillment in the outcome.. Whether we get the trophy or not. This isn’t our home.. we have an eternity of joy with our Father.. Yes, I live in the moment but this isn’t my home.”

LA Lakers’ New Head Coach Boldly Shares Christian Faith In His First Press Conference

The new head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers boldly speaks up about his Christian faith and praises the Lord in his first-ever press conference as the team’s coach.

In the NBA’s upcoming season, the Lakers have their new coach, Darvin Ham. It is his first time being the head coach. Nevertheless, he faces it full of faith and confidence. And in his first time to face the public as Lakers’ head coach, he brazenly declared his Christian faith.

In Darvin’s first press conference on Monday, he immediately made clear his motivation for doing things. He thanked God and then explained where his faith was rooted.

“Coming from where I come from,” the 48-year-old said. “I was raised in a household with strong, spiritual faith, belief in God and His Son Jesus Christ. So I want to start with that. Everything I’ve been able to overcome in my life, along with the people around me, it’s been that spirit that was instilled in me as a youngster.”

God’s Timing

Further, the new coach also shared the “power of God’s timing.” And he believes that he’s exactly where God wants him to be at the moment. Darvin also jokingly thanked the teams who didn’t give him the opportunity.

“Timing is everything,” he remarked. “Like I said, I put my faith in God. He’s the master of all plans, and I just want to take this time to thank all of those teams that passed on me so I could end up right back where I need to be. It’s all good. I’m good — trust me.”

Although passed on by teams several times, Darvin revealed how he tried to keep getting better each time.

“You live, you learn, you seek out an opportunity,” he said. “And if you don’t get it, you just keep getting better and keep trying to add more things to your repertoire.”

Champion Boxer Boldly Ends Speech With A Bible Verse At Final Press Conference

The fight between Manny Pacquiao and Adrien Broner last at MGM Grand in Las Vegas recently was remarkable. Manny successfully defended his WBA Welterweight title once again in a unanimous decision. It’s no surprise his fellow countrymen are celebrating while Manny started off with a Facebook post thanking God for this victory.

However, three days before Manny and Adrien got on the boxing ring, both gave their last speech at a final press conference. During the conference, Manny never forgot to use the platform God has given him to glorify Him.

He started his message with a grateful heart to the Lord, “First of all, I would like to thank God for this privilege today that we have a press conference.”

Then appreciating every individual organizing the event, the promotions, the media press, his fans, and everyone who has given them a favor for the event, he mentioned how overwhelmed he was for the unexpected support he had received.

Manny also highlighted that the fight was nothing personal. In fact, he showed interest in wanting to be friends with Adrien, his opponent.

Moreover, before ending his speech, Manny took the opportunity to share God’s Word. Overawed by God’s favor at the age of 40-years-old still fighting in the boxing sport, he shared a Bible verse taken from Jeremiah 9:23-24 where it says:

“Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these, I delight,” says the Lord.”

Manny boldly declared God’s Word in front of the media with millions of people around the world watching. He is truly a Man after God’s own heart and we praise God for his life!
