Priscilla Shirer Posts Update On Her Lung Surgery

Priscilla Shirer posted an update on Social Media after lung surgery saying, “The surgery was curative, praise the Lord.”

Bible teacher and author Priscilla Shirer recently had surgery to remove a node from her left lung. Prayers from Christians around the world flooded in before and during the surgery. A month after the successful lung surgery, Priscilla posted an update on Instagram about her health condition.

“I am recovering well from the surgery,” Shirer announced on February 15 on an Instagram post. “My breathing is still pretty labored so I am working on my lung capacity and getting a little breath back here. But doing really good and recovering well.”

The “War Room” actress praised the Lord for the healing she has received.

“The surgery was curative, praise the Lord, so I don’t have anything else to do in that regard other than recover,” she added.

Prayer for the family

Priscilla also expressed her gratitude to all those who have supported her family following the death of her mother, Lois Evans. Lois lost the battle with cancer on December 30, 2019.

“Many of you know that we’ve lost quite a few family members recently, the most recent of which was our sweet mom,” Priscilla said. “Thanks for continuing to pray for us, for our family, as we recover from everything that has gone on. Every card you’ve sent, every gift you’ve sent, I’ve read them all, gotten them all, and I’m really grateful. Thank you all so, so much.”

Well-known pastor Tony Evans, the father of Priscilla, also thanked everyone for the prayers for his daughter.

“This IS a glimpse at the Body of Christ in action,” Pastor Tony wrote on his Instagram account. “Thank you for praying for Priscilla today.”

Lois Evans: A Glimpse of Heaven

According to CBN News, the family of Lois Evans said goodbye in late December. Lois was 70 years old and had been battling biliary cancer. Back in October, Priscilla Shirer, daughter of Lois and known Pastor, Tony Evans, took to Instagram to share the amount of Prayer Warriors who had gathered outside of the Evans’ home to pray. Back then, not much could be said about Lois’s condition, but what was said was that she was looking good. The family stayed positive through the next few months and soon Lois passed away surrounded by family.

Lois Evans: Her Glimpse of Heaven

Lois’s husband, Pastor Tony Evans, discussed the passing of his wife exclaiming she caught a glimpse of Heaven before she passed away.

Before her passing, Lois asked some of her family, who were gathered in the room, “Do you see my mother?” She went on to say, “Do you hear her? She’s right over there by the fireplace.” Then she asked, “Why can’t you see her?” She also talked about seeing her late father. Tony says, “She was seeing something as the time of her departure got closer.”

Tony also said that he recalled her saying, “Two days, two days, take me up in two days.”

It is noted that two and a half days later, Lois passed away, on December 30th, 2019.

Tony says that Lois’s experience was like Stephen’s in Acts 7. As Stephan was stoned to death, he saw Heaven open and Jesus standing on the right hand of God. He shared that when the time of our departure comes, we will want to be close enough to God so that we can hear things that others can’t and see things that can’t.

Lois Evans: Obituary

Lois Evans was laid to rest on January 6th, 2020. She is survived by her husband, Tony Evans, her four children, Chrystal Hurst (Jessie), Priscilla Shirer (Jerry), Anthony Evans Jr., and Jonathan Evans. Lois is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three brothers, three sisters, one brother-in-law, ten nieces and nephews, and two cousins.

Pastor Tony Evans’ Wife Passes Away: ‘Her First Sunrise From Heaven’

On the early morning of December 30, Pastor Tony Evans’ wife, Lois, passed away after battling cancer.

In a recent post from Facebook, the senior pastor of Oak Cliff Fellowship Church in Dallas, Texas Tony Evans wrote a statement of his wife’s passing.

He wrote, “Just before the sun came up this morning, the love of my life, Lois Irene Evans, transitioned from earth and watched her first sunrise from heaven.”

“I had the privilege of holding her hand as she was lulled into eternity. Our four children surrounded her as well. As she slipped away, we told her how much we love her, how proud we are of her, and how thankful we are for the life she has lived.”

It was October 25 this year when Dr. Tony announced on Instagram that chemotherapy and radiation were no longer options for Lois Evans’ condition. But nevertheless, they were still believing for God’s supernatural healing.

But regardless of her state, she still continued to attend church and worship events. She held on to God till her last breath.

Their daughter, Priscilla Shirer also wrote a farewell message to her mom on Instagram.

“Goodnight my beautiful, beloved Mommy. I’ll see you in the morning,” she said.

Their son Anthony Evans, Jr. also posted, “I love you forever Mommy.”

Dr. Tony is grateful to God for the answered prayers. It may not be the answer that everyone expected but his wife exceeded the doctors’ expectations.

“Thank you so much for praying for my wife and for my family. God answered our prayers this morning by relieving her of suffering. But the truth is, He has been answering our prayers all along. Lois lived beyond medical expectations, not once, but over and over again. God has been so kind to give us more time to make wonderful memories,” he said.

The Evans family also thanked those who supported them through prayers.

“Thank you for your continued prayers for our family as we grieve, and also for your patience as we finalize our plans to honor her life.”

Prayer Warriors Show Up For Priscilla Shirer’s Mother

Priscilla Shirer, an American author, motivational speaker, actress, Christian evangelist, shared an emotional video on her Instagram earlier this week. The video showed many people spread throughout a lawn praying. That’s right. Praying.

For what though? The caption stated, “This is my childhood home. My mother is inside. Prayer warriors are gathered outside. This is the body of Christ at its finest. We are so grateful. Thank you to everyone who is calling out to God on behalf of our mother from wherever in the world you are. #hesahealer.” She went on to cite the verse 2 Chronicles 2:20.

Call for prayer

Shirer’s father, Pastor Tony Evans, posted to social media in April of 2019 pleading followers to pray for his wife, Lois Evans, saying, “Friends, Please pray for my wife, Lois. Lois has been a cancer-free patient under care for a while. However, her last routine scan revealed that her rare gallbladder cancer has returned. We need God to intervene as we continue our search for an effective treatment. We are going to trust God in the dark for a solution, and we are asking you to fervently pray to that end.”

The cancer fighter herself shared a photo of her calendar to twitter. The calendar voiced a message of hope saying, “I’m fighting for you. – God” Lois said that it was her daily reminder of knowing who He is.

In June 2019, Anthony, the son of Lois and Tony, gave an update on Lois’ cancer stating, “My mom actually feels great,” and,”I’m thankful she’s not in pain.”

How is Lois Evans doing now?

Anthony posted on his Instagram story thanking everyone who has sent his mother cards and stated that she was reading them everyday. The Evans’ and Priscilla all posted the same family photo  saying things like “#family” and “God can do miracles!”

At this point, that’s as much of an update there is on Lois’ health, but she looks good! The family is sticking together and staying positive through it all. It is evident as they pour out hope on social media saying that they are trusting God, praying fervently, and asking followers do the same.

Child Of God, You’re Not The Same Person You Used To Be

Do you still embrace your insecurities? Do you allow yourself to be consumed with anger when somebody upsets you? Do you still feel intimidated? Perhaps you consider yourself as being unworthy? Are you frustrated, lonely and incapable? If you have given your life to Jesus, then it’s time to move on from these things!

You’re not the same person you used to be

The moment you encountered God was also the time He gave you your new identity. People can call you whatever they want to and you can refer to yourself in whatever way you like, but that doesn’t mean it’s true. The truth is that your creator has given you a new name and identity.

You are a new creation. However, before you completely experience the fullness of this new identity, you need to go through a process in which your faith is strengthened.

God wants to make sure that there is a transformation on the inside of us and it takes a process, often through wilderness experiences. We all need to go on a journey with God and on that journey, He shows us His strength. So if you are going through something difficult right now, remember God is dealing with your character and everything on the inside of you.

And along the process, you don’t have to go back to your old way of living and thinking. You don’t have to go to certain places that will kill your identity in Christ. The enemy is after your soul, remember you are in a battle. If he keeps on reminding you about your past, remember who you are in the eyes of God.

The people around you may also influence your identity. So surround yourself with people who will guide you throughout the journey — friends who will sharpen you. God is building something in your life, and the people around you should be helping rather than hindering you from completing all God has assigned to you.

Perhaps ask yourself this question, “Are they taking you to a place worth going?”

At the same time, be the person who also leads people to a place worth going. Help them complete the projects that God has assigned to them.

When God wants you to do something that you feel is impossible, that’s the time when He wants to show you that you’re not the same person as you used to be. Remember that God is in our midst and if we allow Him, He will demonstrate our new identity to us.
