A woman who lived most of her life neglected and abused, resulting in drug and alcohol addiction, was set free after meeting Jesus in rehab.
A Lonely Child
Kayla grew up with only her mom taking care of her because her dad was murdered when she was still a year old. But her mom’s addiction to drugs, alcohol, and relationships eventually neglected her. Hence, she grew up a lonely child.

During her teenage years, Kayla then found belongingness with her peers. But unfortunately, these peers influenced her to use marijuana and alcohol at a young age. As a result, the teen became a rebellious young girl who neglected school. She also had anger management issues which became her outlet for all the pain and trauma she had experienced.
Abused
Soon, Kayla desired to have a baby because she thought it could fill the void in her heart. She thought she could love a child who loved her as well. Kayla wanted to build a family she never had. So, as young as 14-years-old, the teen got pregnant.

Far from what she expected, the family she dreamt of building was shattered. Kayla had a boyfriend who abused her and her child. Soon, the guy influenced her to use meth drugs, which only worsened her.
At 23-years-old, Kayla already had five children with her abusive boyfriend. And as a drug and alcohol addict, she couldn’t take care of her children. Soon, the mom lost custody of her kids and felt hopeless. She began hating herself so much for all the wrong things she had done.
But despite all the mess, Kayla hoped to change. Then she tried a Christian-based rehab program and heard about the Gospel for the first time. Kayla learned about Jesus. Until one day, after a couple of months, she finally accepted Jesus in her heart and gave her life to Him.
Since then, Kayla has never been the same again.
