Hi, friends, I wanna encourage you today to begin to celebrate what God is doing in your life with other people. My name is Rachel Hale, and I’m gonna read to you a scripture from Philippians 4:4. It says, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again, rejoice.” Rejoicing in God is not a good idea. It is a command. It’s right there in Philippians. It says, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again, rejoice.”
Now, I have seen some people be really good at rejoicing in God in other people. For example, maybe they’ll say, “Oh, I love what God’s doing in your life.” And so they’ll get excited about that. Or maybe, you know, you’re somebody, and I’ve seen people like this, too, that just rejoices in God in nature and they say, “Oh, what a beautiful tree,” or “what a beautiful sunset. I rejoice in that Lord.” But I’ve met many, many, many people who have a problem rejoicing in what God is doing in their own life and telling that testimony.
I was one of those people. A few years ago, I remember I was in ministry school, and when I was about 10 years old, God told me that I would bring people to Christ through music. And I lived in Nashville, Tennessee for some time, and I wrote a song called Firm Foundation with my church there that I was attending at the time. And then I went on to ministry school. And while in ministry school, unbeknownst to me, the song Firm Foundation was pitched to a well known group named Selah, and Selah recorded that song. And not only did they record it, they made it the title of their album, Firm Foundation. So when I found that out, it was like a dream come true. You know, I was in ministry school and I couldn’t believe that this song that I had written was being sung and recorded by Selah, and being sung all over the world. I was so excited. And the night that it was released to iTunes, I remember I was laying in my bed and I was watching it on my phone on the iTunes charts, and it was going up and up and up the charts, and it was up, it was, you know, up on the charts by all these amazing names, these really well known names, you know? And I was like, “Oh, this is amazing. Thank you, Jesus.” I was in my bedroom by myself, and I lived in a house with friends, with two good girlfriends. And I was laying in bed and I was so excited that I was looking at my phone and I was just praying. I was thanking the Lord. And clear as that God said to me, He said, “Rachel,” He said, “Why aren’t you telling anybody that this has happened? Like that this is happening? Why are you by yourself in your room right now? Why aren’t you celebrating this?” And I said, “Well, Lord, I am celebrating. I’m celebrating you right now. You know?” He said, “No. Why aren’t you telling anybody?” Because at the time, I wasn’t posting about it on my social media. I wasn’t, you know, nothing. I hadn’t told anybody at that point. And, I said, “Well, you know, I don’t wanna, you know, brag, Lord, I don’t wanna brag.” And God said, “Rachel,” He said, “Did you do this or did I do this?” And I said, “Well, Lord, you definitely did this. I had nothing. Yeah, you definitely did this. This is a miracle. There’s no way I did this.” And He said, “Well, then are you celebrating you or are you celebrating me?” And I said, “Well, I’m definitely celebrating you, what you did, Lord, it’s a miracle.” And He said, “Then you need to get up and tell people what I’ve been doing, and you need to celebrate me, because I’m doing a miracle in your life, and I want other people to know about it.” And I said, “Well, praise God. Well, I’m gonna go celebrate.” And I ran outta my room and I began to tell my friends, and they were so excited for me. They couldn’t have been more excited.
There’s a scripture in Revelation, it’s Revelations 19:10. It says that, “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Now, you see, when we share the testimony of Jesus, it is the spirit of prophecy. And when we release the testimony that He’s doing in our own life, it allows God to do it again for other people. That’s why it’s so important that we share the testimony of Jesus and what He’s doing in our life with other people. What we celebrate, we replicate. So if you wanna see God do something in someone else’s life, you need to share your testimony with them. If you maybe wanna see God do something again in your own life, well, you need to share the testimony of what He’s already doing in your life. Because what we celebrate, we replicate. And the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ. And the testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy.
So I wanna encourage you today to go out, celebrate what God is doing in your life so that it can be done again. And the ears that everyone listening would be encouraged about the truth that Jesus Christ is the life.
I’m gonna pray for you. Jesus, I thank you for every person watching this video. I ask Holy Spirit, that you would just bless this word, that they would catch on to the understanding of the power of the testimony, the power of celebrating what you’re doing in their life. And I pray, God, that you would do it again and again and again. And I seal that in Jesus’ name. Amen.
