Relentless Woman, Someday You’ll Really Be Grateful That God Had You Wait

Waiting is not easy but don’t you know it’s the most crucial season to God? And one day, you’ll understand why you had to go through it, and you’ll really be grateful that He had you wait.

Why Not Wait?

We all have our dreams and aspirations in life. And true enough, we can’t have them all in an instant. We all go through the waiting game where most people just give up along the way. That’s why it’s no surprise that only a few would really reach their dreams.

On the other hand, for some, they take shortcuts because they don’t want to wait. And because they act in haste, they only find themselves losing everything at the end. As the saying goes, “the pain of regret is worse than the pain of discipline.” So why not wait on God? Instead of going through all those unnecessary hassles and pains as a result of your impatience?

As Proverbs 28:25 (TPT) declared, “To make rash, hasty decisions shows that you are not trusting the Lord. But when you rely totally on God, you will still act carefully and prudently.”

Be Patient

So, relentless woman, learn to be patient if God is making you wait right now. Ask God to reveal to you what He is trying to teach you at this moment. Pray that God would change your heart and align it with His will. Because when God is making you wait, He has something greater in store for you that requires intense preparation. And in this process of preparing, God needs your cooperation. Allow Him to love you, mold your character, and encounter you right at this moment. And someday, you’ll really be grateful that God had you go through this season.

“Wait patiently for the LORD; be strong and courageous. Wait patiently for the LORD!” -Psalm 27:14

Relentless Woman, Being A Christian Doesn’t Mean You Have To Be Perfect

No one exactly tells us to be perfect. But the way society places labels and standards on who we should be puts pressure on every woman. As a result, perfectionism always seems to whisper to the heart of every woman. But this isn’t what God wants His daughters to suffer from.

Don’t Be Too Hard On Yourself

Before they know it, most women nowadays get trapped in the idea of perfection. That’s why if they fail over something they always wanted to do, they easily get discouraged. Or worse, they quickly give up. Then they label themselves a failure—all because of one mistake. Because unknowingly, they have placed high expectations for themselves, requiring themselves to be perfect. And if she cannot meet what she expected from herself, then she’d be better off called a failure. But this is not the truth.

Relentless woman, I believe God is telling you not to be so hard on yourself. Perhaps it may be true that you made a mistake, but that doesn’t mean you’re a failure. It only means you were courageous enough to get out of your comfort zone and that you were willing to grow as a person. God doesn’t require you to be perfect all at once because no one is. That’s why God continuously extends His grace to us because He knows we can’t do anything apart from Him.

You Can Never Be Perfect

Accept the reality that you can never be perfect. But in Christ, you will be. The moment you accept this truth in your heart and mind, you’d realize how you need more of God in your life. By this, you will then depend on God for strength and everything. It will stir you to hunger for His presence in your life each day.

Therefore, relentless woman, don’t be too hard on yourself. God loves you so much, and He already paid it all on the cross. Instead, trust in His grace that will enable you to overcome your weaknesses. Because being a Christian doesn’t mean you have to be perfect. It only means you’re an imperfect woman saved by perfect grace.

Relentless Woman, Your Words Are Powerful

The word of God tells us that words are powerful, and we should be careful of every word we say.

Don’t Take Words Lightly

The Bible describes the power of our words in Proverbs 18:21. It said, “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

This proverb from Solomon was a warning of how we use our words because every word that comes out of our mouth has the power to speak life or death. And no one is excepted to its consequences. Perhaps that is why Paul the Apostle advised the church of Ephesus to be careful with their words. He said in Ephesians 4:29, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

Paul stressed not to let unwholesome talk reign. But instead, use words that were helpful to build others.

Every Careless Word

Moreover, Jesus also warned about it in Matthew 12:36 when the Pharisees accused him. He taught the people, “But I tell you that men will give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Note that Jesus highlighted that we will one day face judgment for “every carless word” we have spoken, for we would be accountable for every word that comes out from our mouth.

That is why relentless woman, take Jesus’ teaching seriously and be careful with your words. Let everything that comes out of your mouth be life, encouragement, and anything that will build others. Do not let the world dictate the words you say, and focus on being accountable to God with everything in your life. Your words are powerful, so don’t be a nagger. Instead, use it to lift and encourage other people.

How’s Your Time With God?

We often hear the quote, “time is gold.” And because many people believe in this principle, they don’t waste their time on things that wouldn’t benefit their future. Hence, most people spend several working hours every day to make a living to earn money. Being responsible is not bad until your relationship with God is compromised. Now, the question lies behind the motive of your heart in what you do. Are you still chasing God, or are you pursuing money, purpose, and pleasure before God?

Invite God in your heart everyday

The thing is, if we are not careful, we could easily fall into this trap of believing we are putting God first by working hard but not prioritizing Him deep inside our hearts. That is why it’s very important to invite God every day in our hearts. In that way, we can always align our hearts with Him and His will without the danger of falling out.

Invite God In Your Heart Everyday

When you practice acknowledging God’s sovereignty over your life every morning after you wake up, you have God’s favor with you. And the best thing is, throughout that day, you would be sensitive to His presence wherever you go. Moreover, you would become mindful of God’s heartbeat to your circumstance. And your day every day would become extraordinary, full of hope, joy, and love—a miracle happens.

Therefore, relentless woman, do not neglect your time with God every day. Make spending time with Him a priority. Allow God to minister to your heart and let Him lead the way for you every day. And you can never go wrong with following His leading always.

God never fails to amaze us with His works and miracles in our lives. And when He reveals His faithfulness on His promises, we can’t help but be in awe of Him. But there will also be times when His answer is “No.” And if this happens to you, will you still be willing to trust God?

When God Says “No”

We all have our own fair share of dreams and ambitions in life. And behind those desires are hearts with different motivations. Some good, some not. That is

the reason why even when our Father in Heaven wants to bless us with so much, He sometimes withholds that from us if He sees it will destroy us. Hence, sometimes, God answers us with “No.” But again, the amazing truth is, even in His “No,” it is because of His goodness and love for us.

Are you in the season in your life where you’ve been praying over something for so long and God hasn’t answered it yet? Ask God to change and realign your heart with His will. Because maybe, He is not answering it for He has greater in store for you. Always remember that beyond your hopes and dreams, God knows what’s best for you because He goes before you. He sees everything and knows you by name.

The Prayer

In addition, practice praying “Lord, still, not my will but let Your will be done,” every after the end of your prayer time. In this way, you are acknowledging His Lordship over your life. That even in your hopes and aspirations, you would want His will more than anything. But the beautiful truth about it is that even praying this prayer means giving in to God’s plans. And we know how great and perfect God’s plans are for our life.

Therefore relentless woman, trust God even when His answer is “No.” You can wholly trust God’s love for you. His love never fails.

We often hear the word “put God first,” especially in viral social media posts where millions of people share it in their newsfeeds. However, regardless of those millions of shares, it’s the word we often neglect in our lives.

Put God First

True enough, putting God first is easier said than done. Because if people really do more than just sharing it in their posts or wear such a quote on their clothing, transformation must have already been evident in their lives. That’s why, it’s the word most people think they already know but often neglect to apply in their lives. Sometimes, this overfamiliarity deceives us to think we know better just because we always hear it.

Putting God first is not just a quote. It is Jesus’ command in Matthew 6:33 where He told the disciples, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

Peace Amidst Trouble

Whenever we become so caught up with this world, worries and fears start to surge. These are the signs that we are not putting God first. However, putting Him first doesn’t mean we no longer feel worried or fearful. Instead, despite the circumstance, we have peace knowing He is in control. And this is the difference between those who put God first in their lives and those who don’t. Because apart from our Father in Heaven, there is no hope.

That’s why relentless woman, always keep in mind God’s word. That when you put Him first, everything will just fall into place. So, if you’re worried or overwhelmed right now, it’s not yet too late to declutter things in your life. Put God first and allow Him to minister to you. Let His Word shape your life and walk upon it in this world full of distractions. Don’t let the world take your affections away from Him. He is worthy.

People have stereotypes when it comes to defining a strong woman of faith. Some say it’s that someone who is always strong and independent. And some say it’s that someone whose motto is “be real” and never hides who she is as a person even when she’s hurt. Now, which is true?

Strong And Independent Woman

Nowadays, women are more empowered compared to the previous generations. As a result, most women make it a goal to be strong and independent woman. And this means she becomes a woman who can take care of herself, lead others, and provide for herself alongside her faith in God. Hence, when you have achieved these things, you belong to those strong and empowered women in today’s world. But is that really it?

Contrary to popular opinion, it’s never enough to be strong and independent. Because being strong doesn’t always mean you’re following God’s will. Sometimes, this idea of a strong and empowered woman hinders a person from depending on God. It happens when she relies on her strength and performance more than she does towards her Father in heaven. And when this happens, she functions according to human wisdom, not on God’s providence and wisdom. Hence, she makes decisions or does things she thinks are pleasing to God.

Be Real

That’s why relentless woman, you can stop pretending to be strong now. It’s okay to be real with how you really feel. It’s okay to cry, admit you’re tired and ask for help from others. It’s time to stop chasing winds and be a strong and God-dependent woman because it is only by His grace that you can do all things. It’s time to surrender all your burdens to God and do all things with His favor and strength.

A strong woman of faith doesn’t mean you have to smile all the time or fake it and make it. That’s what society says. A woman of faith is still strong when she’s got tears streaming down her face. It doesn’t make her weak. It’s okay to be real. A woman who is transparent about her struggles is amazing and courageous. She’s a strong and God-dependent woman of God.

We often hear the words “forgive others” as Christ had forgiven you. But did you know that it’s easier to forgive others than you forgive yourself? That’s why many resort to forgiving others but beat themselves up instead of accepting God’s mercy.

Forgiveness

Forgiving is not easy. It’s when you face the person who had hurt you deeply and saying you choose to overlook the offense the person committed against you. It’s hard; that is why most people do not face the real issues of their hearts. As a result, anger, bitterness, and hatred fill their lives because it’s more comfortable to hate than love. They bring such unforgiving hearts that it poisons their whole being, not until they surrender it at the feet of Jesus. But what if that someone you can’t forgive is yourself?

Beating Yourself

Compared to forgiving others, forgiving yourself is the hardest. Sometimes you can’t forgive yourself for all your mistakes and think you don’t deserve God’s mercy anymore. Maybe because it’s how people made you feel, and you can’t help but feel guilty and condemned, to the point you feel hopeless. But let me tell you the truth, relentless woman.

God loves you so much, and there is no sin nor mistake that God cannot forgive you. Don’t listen to those lies or whispers from the enemy that is condemning you. The truth is, God is with you, and He is always ready to embrace you in your mess. He wants to cleanse you and reveal Himself as a loving God to you.

1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

You are already forgiven. So, just accept God’s mercy and love in your heart and allow His power to transform you from the inside out. God has already taken into account the wrong turns, the mistakes in your life. Quit beating yourself up and rest in His love.

Indeed, it’s the second most important decision because it involves your lifetime. It’s not just for months, years, or decades, but the rest of your life until you die. That’s why you shouldn’t take this aspect of your life lightly. Allow God to set the standards in choosing a partner for you. Do not let the world dictate it for you.

Often, pressure is one of the major factors that women settle for less. Hence pressure from society, family, and even friends forces them to enter into a relationship without much thinking or even consulting God first. Sometimes, they do it for the sake of having a partner and be accepted by society. But don’t let this be you. Always remember that you are the one who will face the consequences of the choices that you will make today. Thus, the partner you choose will determine what your life would look like for the next 20-50 years.

Choose Someone Who Pushes You To God

Therefore, no matter what other people say, relentless women stand firm on your Godly standards in choosing a spouse. Don’t settle for just a recreational relationship and wait for God’s best. Choose someone who pushes you deeper to God and challenges you to grow to become more like Christ. Because a man who truly loves God and is after His heart will treat you right in the same way Christ loved you. Know your worth relentless woman, because that is what you deserve. You deserve a relationship that will honor and glorify God above all.

Following Jesus is more than just sharing Godly posts on social media or owning paraphernalia with Bible verses on them. It’s more than just going to church on Sundays or being active at church. It’s about your heart, your soul, and your life as a whole. Have you given your whole heart to Jesus? Are you faithfully obeying His commands? Do you consult Him every time before you make final decisions? You see, our body is the living sacrifice.

In Romans 12:1-2, Paul addressed a letter to the Romans in the past concerning our lives being a living sacrifice for Christ. He wrote, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”

The Challenge In Information Age

Through this message from Paul, we can see how he encouraged the church in Rome to renew their minds constantly. If we apply that principle today, this advice from Paul the Apostle is very critical because we are in the information age. A generation with too much information every day needs a reboot each time by reading the Word of God. Because nowadays, it’s easier to believe things shared on social media even though it’s fake than discerning real truth from God’s perspective.

That’s why relentless woman, choose to follow Jesus and learn to take time listening to His instructions. In that way, you’d always be at the center of His will, and no one can snatch you away from there. It won’t be easy, but it will always be worth it because Jesus is worth fighting for.
