Being Set Apart For God

God is calling us to become set apart for Him.

Being Set Apart

Rick Pino shares a powerful message about being set apart for God. He started his message by emphasizing that God is a jealous God. Rick referenced Numbers 5:29-31 to highlight the law of jealousy. In that passage, the Lord is teaching us that when a woman goes astray, a spirit of jealousy comes into her husband.

“The Lord is releasing principles of what happens when a woman goes astray. It literally releases a spirit of jealousy. A man becomes jealous of His bride… I believe Jesus was prefacing what He was about to teach us in Numbers 6,” Rick explained.

Jealous God

He then continued to reference Number 6:1 to explain that God is a jealous God. When His bride, His church, goes astray, He becomes jealous.

“Jesus intros in the Numbers 6 saying, ‘I’m a jealous husband for my bride. My eyes are burning for you.”

Rick then continued to teach us that being set apart for God doesn’t just mean being separated from the world. It means to be separated from the world and separated unto God.

“For too long, the body of Christ has been okay to try to be separated from the world but we’ve forgotten that you cannot just be separated from something. God is calling us not to be separated from, but to be separated unto.”

Holiness

We need more than just morality to be citizens of His Kingdom, we need holiness. God is calling us to be holy just as He is holy.

“Just to be separated from that’s called morality. But how many of you know that morality is not going to cut it in our day, we need not just morality, we need to be separated unto God, that’s called holiness.”

“God is calling a generation to separate from and separate unto. It’s time that holiness swept our hearts again.”

The Mission May Cost You Everything, But It’s Going To Be Worth It

The mission that God has for us may cost us everything, but it’s surely going to be worth it.

Mission

Rick Pino encourages every believer that all we’re doing for the mission of God is worth it. As Children of God, we all have a mission here on earth, we are here for a purpose. That purpose is to advance the Kingdom of God.

“Men and women, it’s time that desires to begin to fill our hearts again,” Rick said as he challenged his listeners. “It’s time for a counter-cultural revolution… It’s time that the world stopped discipling us and we begin to start discipling the world again.”

It Will Cost Us Everything

As we obey the Lord and do our mission, there’s a price to pay. It would cost us everything we have. We must be willing to leave our past and our lives behind and follow the Lord to wherever He leads us to.

“Listen, it’s going to cost you everything. I’m going to tell you right now, it will cost you everything today, it will cost you everything tomorrow, and it will cost you everything in the next few days. It will cost you everything, remember the rich young ruler? It will cost you everything but listen, it is worth it. It’s worth it.”

But no matter how big the price is, it’s all going to be worth it. Everything will be worth it all when we start to see the power of God move here on earth.

“It’s worth to see nations tremble at the sound of His word, it’s worth it to see a generation arise who are a new breed with fire in their eyes. It’s worth it that whenever we decree something in the heavens, it opens up over the earth, it’s worth it brothers and sisters.”

Wanting God Above Anything Else

Want God above anything this life has to offer.

Worship leader Rick Pino shares a life-changing message about wanting God above anything else. He urges everyone to live a life without compromise and that only desires God. As we live our life, we are often faced with temptation and compromise.

Rick cited that if you watch a movie with cursing and sex scene, even though you try to fast-forward through that scene, you are in compromise. But as children of God, we should be men and women who only desire God.

“God is looking for a man or a woman who so desires to say, ‘God I love you more than all of these little pleasures. I want the river of pleasure at your right hand.’ If you want to impact the world, you’re not going to do it if you’ve been disciplined by the world,” Rick said.

Wanting God

He then shared how he grew up in Las Vegas and how God set his heart on fire. A heart that is burning with a passion for His presence. And from that moment on, he stopped having desires for worldly things.

“God uses these little things in your life to just mess with you… All these prophetic stuff are like swirling in me and it’s like the burning eyes of God, the jealous husband, He looked at me with fire and it’s like fire jumped into my heart and It was over with.”

We should stop seeking the little pleasures this world is offering and start seeking the greatest pleasure. That greatest pleasure is the pleasure of His presence.

“I want you, I’ve been bitten, I’ve been gripped with the superior pleasure. It’s the pleasure of your face, it’s the one thing, it’s I’ve seen you in the beauty of your sanctuary, I want you.”
