Christian minister and author Robert Hotchkin explained how our unanswered prayers are creating an impact on other people’s lives.

Robert has previously been in a 12 years health battle. He was so sick that he became so weak and shaky. All day long, he was ravished with fever and he couldn’t do anything, even standing up was hard for him. Years after years, he became weaker and sicker. For years, he has been praying and contending for his healing.
“I’m a man of faith so I was praying all along, declaring that I’m healed by Jesus’ stripes, declaring that He is the Lord who heals, laying hold of that truth of healing that we have through our Messiah Jesus. Yet, no matter what I did, I got sicker and sicker, weaker and weaker,” he said in a video interview with Supernatural Stories.

Unanswered Prayers
After several years of not experiencing the healing that he had been praying for, he felt discouraged, frustrated, and afraid. With his last straw of hope, he cried out to God. That’s when God took him into a heavenly experience that made him change his perspective.
Robert saw a vision of him coming home to heaven, in that vision he was healthy and strong. While he was walking with the Lord, he began to be greeted by strangers who are thanking him for their healing. He didn’t know any of those people, so he asked God what was happening.
“Every time you declared I am the Lord who heals, that word went forth and someone was touched,” God answered him.
Impact
It was his prayer and declaration for his own healing that healed those people. Though he did not see it, his prayers made an impact on other people’s lives for years. Robert learned in that vision that our declarations and prayers touch others.
“No matter what our circumstances are when we stand in faith and we declare the word, it always, always, always works and it always goes forth and has an impact.”
Even though we might be faced with hopeless situations, our faith in the Lord is creating a greater impact than we realize.
“Every time you stand on truth, every time you choose to believe the truth, every time you decree the Word, it goes forth and someone is touched.”

Kingdom of Heaven
Today, Robert is now a healthy man, traveling the world to preach the Gospel to people. The Lord has answered his prayers, not as soon as he wanted it to be, but at God’s right time. And in that process of trusting God, Robert has learned so much about His Kingdom.
Though our prayers might not be answered as how we want them to be, those prayers are not in vain. The Lord hears our prayers and it’s moving the heavens. Our prayers and declarations are having way more impact on the Kingdom of Heaven than we’ve ever realized.
