GOD TV will once again broadcast the national observance of the US National Day of Prayer (NDP) LIVE from Washington, DC on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at 8.30 pm (EST). This special broadcast will be replayed worldwide on Saturday, May 4th at 10 am; USA (EST); UK, (BST); Asia (IT); Africa (SAT); and Australasia (ST).
Hosted by Dr Ronnie Floyd who is the President of the National Day of Prayer, the broadcast will include prayers of intercession for America and those in authority as well as messages from various speakers.
Celebrated on the first Thursday in May the NDP was established by an act of Congress in 1952, requiring the US presidents to proclaim a National Day of Prayer each year. The NDP encourages prayer for America, the American people and all in authority. This year’s theme is “Love One Another” which comes from the words of Jesus in John 13:34, “Love one another. Just as I have loved you.”
“From the church house to the state house, and all the way to the White House, we need to love one another!” said Dr Floyd who is also the Senior Pastor of Cross Church and a former president of the Southern Baptist Convention.
GOD TV is committed to rallying the Body of Christ to prayer for America and often features mass prayer events from across the globe. We have been a broadcast partner of the NDP for many years.
“Prayer is so vital in our personal lives and for the future of our nation,” said GOD TV President, Ward Simpson. “We encourage all believers to watch this important broadcast and intercede for those in authority wherever they live.”
GOD TV can be viewed all across the USA on channel 365 of DIRECTV as well as on select local cable stations in certain cities. The broadcast can also be viewed online at GOD TV’s website, where an archive of prayer-related programming is available for video on demand viewing.
