A dance group from Mumbai, India has wowed everyone with their extraordinary acrobatic dance performance on America’s Got Talent.
V Unbeatable
V Unbeatable Dance Crew is a group of 28 dancers with ages ranging from 12 to 27. The majority of their members live in the slums where life is very challenging.
Mumbai is well-known for its film industry and its slums were made famous by the movie “Slum Dog Millionaire.” In fact, 60 percent of Mumbai’s population lives in the slums.
“The slums are very crowded, very dirty, and they don’t get proper electricity. Often seven to ten people are staying in one room. It is very challenging to survive there,” one of the V Unbeatable members shared in an interview.
Thriving in the slum areas of India is challenging as there are few opportunities given to the people who live there.
“Each day we pray for a better life, but in the slums, there is very little opportunity for us,” he added.
The V Unbeatable dance crew use their talents to forget about the problems they face every day hoping opportunities will open up for them.
