A man bitten by a poisonous snake gave up on the chance of surviving and was ready to be with the Lord, but God saved him.
Bitten By Poisonous Snake
In August 2018, Scott was hiking near his cabin in North Carolina when he suddenly felt a painful sting on his leg. And when he looked down, he saw a timber rattlesnake head and two fangs coming out biting him. It was too late when he jumped back because the poison had already entered his body.

Scott tried to hike his way out of the forest and called 911, but there was no signal. His heart sank, and he felt the effects of the venom starting to react in his body. Scott also passed out two or three times on the trail. Then four miles from his truck, he lost consciousness.
Prayer Chain
Meanwhile, his wife felt a spirit of dread hovering over her and discovered Scott wasn’t in his cabin. Immediately, she called for a search and rescue for her husband. No one could do anything but trust God and pray.
“I would say Scriptures or I would just petition the Lord like ‘Help,’” his wife recounted.
She then called Christian neighbors and family to contend in prayer with her. And an international prayer chain quickly spread.

Scott laid on the trail praying to God for rescue and felt God’s peace consume him. And when he gave up on the chance of surviving the ordeal, he accepted the fate of what could be the end of his life. He didn’t fear death and trusted God for his life. Scott was ready to be with the Lord. Then he recorded a farewell video to his family.
At around 7:30 in the evening, the first rescuer found Scott barely hanging on to life. He was dying, and the rescuers thought he wouldn’t make it. So, they encouraged him and prayed for him. And what happened next was the biggest miracle Scott have ever experience in his life.
