The Holy Spirit Helps Us Overcome Judgements

When God created us there was no separation between Spirit, soul and body. The three parts of us were one and operated as one. However through the Fall there was a separation of our spirit that was disconnected from God. This death of our spirit led to our soul taking over control of our body. Through our spirit being born again we were reconnected with God but our soul and body were not redeemed through this regeneration. Therefore we are constantly in a battle between our soul and our spirit. Our soul needs to be renewed through the ministry of the Holy Spirit who lives in our spirit.

Transformation

This process of transformation is dependent on our surrender to the Holy Spirit. Most of us go through a process of walking in the flesh and walking in the Spirit. The more we choose to walk in the Spirit the more we are able to overcome the desires of our flesh. This is the process of transformation. All we need to do is submit to the Holy Spirit in all areas of our life. The demons can influence our soul and therefore we must operate in the resurrection power of the Spirit to overcome the flesh. The more we walk according to the Spirit the more we become aligned with Him. Our soul and body will become aligned with Him.

Habitation

The Godhead dwells in us. The Kingdom of God is within us. This is the difference Jesus came to accomplish. We do not need to go to temples to meet God. He now dwells within our temple. This is the revelation we need to receive to be victorious in this life. The flesh and the devil will seek to challenge our spirit but we can overcome through the Holy Spirit who lives in us. What a glorious salvation we have in Jesus. Now our talk and our walk is like heaven on earth. Hallelujah.

Don’t Let Chatter Limit Hearing God’s Voice

Our soul is constantly engaged in chatter. Most of the time we are unaware of this chatter which occurs at a subconscious level. However, we can become aware of this chatter when we consciously watch our thoughts. This is the basis of cognitive therapy. When we observe our thoughts we will become aware of the repetitive nature of our thoughts. These thoughts cause us to feel up or down. Many times we are so consumed by our thoughts that we are unable to hear God through our spirit. The Holy Spirit talks to us through our spirit. We then hear Him through our thoughts. However, if our thoughts are so loud then we will drown out the voice of God. This is why we need to learn to silence our souls and focus on God’s voice in us. This is easily said than done but it is possible.

Ways

One way to quieten our soul chatter is to pray in tongues. This cancels our thoughts as we now are communicating in the spirit which bypasses our mind. We get into the spirit mode. We can also meditate on the Word of God and hear His voice speaking through His Word. Distracting our thoughts by diverting our attention to something else is another way to quieten our soul Painting, listening to Godly music, and playing a musical instrument are other ways to distract ourselves from our repetitive thoughts. God speaks loudly when we are able to wait on Him in silence. This silence is an inner silence not just by being in a quiet place. We can be in a quiet place but still have noise in our souls.

God’s Voice

God’s voice sounds like His written Word. He sometimes speaks to us in pictures or through our senses. He can speak to us when we are occupied doing housework. We must be open to hearing Him. Soon we will be hearing Him more clearly. Once we enter into habitation we become more familiar with His voice. We will only want to do what He is saying. This is a state of complete surrender to Him. We become detached from the world we live in. It will feel like living in heaven on earth. This may only happen at times in the beginning but becomes more continuous as we surrender all to Him.

Be Led By The Holy Spirit

God is Spirit and He created man in His own image, a spirit being. However through the Fall man lost his ability to commune with God and so created god in his own image. This longing for God is there in all creation. Many are unaware that this hole in their being is due to a loss of connection with God. Therefore man is in search for an answer and God provided the answer. His answer is found in Jesus. Connection with Father God is restored through Jesus. The Holy Spirit was sent to inhabit the spirit of man. The spirit of man was reborn through the new birth in Christ.

Spirit of man

The spirit of man although born again still is limited in our body. It is affected by the body and the soul. The soul of man is the conscious part of man that thinks, feels and wills to do. Most of the time we operate in our soul. Our soul is limited in its capacity to know God because it lives in our body. It is only through our spirit that we are able to connect with God who is spirit. Now we have the Holy Spirit to help us in our communion with God. We can now operate in our human spirit or the Holy Spirit. The same Holy Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in us. This is a profound revelation. Now we can be led by the Holy Spirit.

Be Led

Being led by the Holy Spirit is to walk like Jesus did. He only did what He saw and heard His Father doing. We too can be led by the Holy Spirit as He reveals His mind to us. Once we know the voice of God we will look to be led by Him. This is to live an abundant life here on earth in the Holy Spirit. No circumstance or restriction can rob us of the joy of this communion. We live in habitation and in this place nothing can take us away from Him. Let’s live under the shelter of His wings and bring heaven to earth.

Overcome Fear And Anxiety By The Spirit

Your soul is that part of your being that is composed of your thoughts, feelings and will. Your spirit is separate from your soul. This is not taught by most theologians and so there is confusion in the body. Soul and spirit are used interchangeably by most preachers. This is why the church continues to strive to be better rather than rest in Christ finished work on the Cross. When He saved us the salvation was for our whole being, spirit, soul and body. We know our spirit was redeemed but our soul is being redeemed through the process of sanctification. Our body is affected by this transformation of our soul. Sin still can affect our soul man and manifests in sickness and disease in our body and mind.

Holy Spirit

When we are filled in the Holy Spirit we have a power to overcome all things. Jesus promised us the Holy Spirit which is the same Spirit that possessed Him. He knew we could not walk the path of holiness without help. He sent the Comforter to help us in our walk. We have the same authority as sons of God as Jesus had when He walked on earth. Why then the disparity between our walk and our talk? I believe this is because we are not walking in the Spirit but in our flesh. This is why we need a separation to occur between our flesh and our spirit. This separation occurs when we are filled in the Holy Spirit and walk in the Spirit.

Authority

In the Holy Spirit we can overcome all things as Jesus did. we must be prepared to die to all things fleshly to be made whole. Our flesh will protest and refuse to die to our dying day. However we can overcome the flesh through our spirit. I know this by experience and daily am growing in strength and authority in the Holy Spirit. The rate of growth is proportional to my death to my flesh. This is why Jesus said that we must be prepared to carry our cross daily to follow Him. The suffering we experience in the flesh is nothing compared to the glory that we will experience.

Spiritual Blindness Is Caused By Believing Lies

Spiritual blindness is a condition just like sin is a condition. Due to blindness people cannot believe that there is a God who loves us. This blindness is due to believing in lies propagated by the god of this world. The devil is against God and his main mission is to take as many as possible to hell with him. Therefore we see all kinds of lies being perpetrated through media and other sources to lead us into blindness. We are blind because the lies keep us from believing. Once we are healed we become like the blind man who proclaimed sight after being healed. The blinkers were lifted and he could see clearly.

Soul Blindness

Spiritual blindness can only be lifted through believing in Jesus. Many confuse psychological blindness with spirit blindness. Many ministries focus on soul blindness. Soul blindness is to do with our psyche. Our soul is to do with our thinking, feeling and will. Our spirit was dead through the Fall. This is why Jesus had to come to reverse the curse of sin so we might be saved from blindness. To see in the spirit is to be born again. Just like the caterpillar becomes a butterfly so is the experience of being born again. We see the world from God’s perspective.
Salvation

When we become sighted we see and behold the beauty of all creation. God becomes real and we begin our journey into wholeness. Through His Spirit in us we become renewed to fulfil His plan for our life. God’s plans for our life is being thwarted by the devil and so we need discernment to know what is good and what is evil. Evil many times can present as good but the spirit behind it is evil. Let us walk in the light as He is in the light. In Him all is light and there is no darkness. His light shines to dispel the darkness. Lord open our eyes to see and believe and be set free.

Only In The Spirit Can You Live An Abundant Life

God is Spirit and he created us as spirit beings. We live in our body and have a soul. Our soul thinks, feels and decides. Our spirit was dead and through the born again experience was redeemed and is alive. Our soul is being redeemed. Our body will one day die and return to the dust. When Jesus said that we would have life and that abundant, He was referring to our spirit that was redeemed through His death and resurrection. Our spirit will return to Him when we die and we will sit with Him in heaven. In fact we are already seated with Him in heaven now but the full realisation will come after we die. We were created for abundant living.

Soul

Our soul is being redeemed. We are still dealing with issues in our soul. This is why we need to be transformed in our minds to think and feel like Jesus. This transformation is a process. Many are unaware of this and therefore when conflicted feel guilty and blame themselves. Many are the struggles in the soul and many fall because they give up the fight. The Holy Spirit who resides in us can help us in our weakness. He can make the crooked places straight and turn the hurt into healing. Salvation is for the whole person and not just for the spirit. When we experience His salvation in our soul and body, this becomes a sign and a wonder.

Abundant Living

Today we can live an abundant life in the spirit. His abundant life resides in us. Streams of living water flows through us. We need to tap into this stream and not be distracted by the enemy of our soul. Demons get attached to hurt and unforgiveness. They have no place in our soul. We need to deal with them as if they are our enemy and rout them out through the blood and Name of Jesus. This is the only way we can progress in our Christian life. Our weakness will be turned into strength. Do not hide your weakness but turn it into a strength through the Spirit.

What Is Of The Spirit Is Permanent

God created us spirit, soul and body (1 Thess 5:23). However few of us are aware of this and so fail to invest in our spirit. Our spirit was dead through the Fall but born again through the Holy Spirit when we received Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. This new birth experience in the spirit opened our eyes to see into the spirit world. We were once blind but now we see. Most people are dead in the spirit and what they think is spirit is their soul. The soul mimics the things of the spirit. We were made in the image of God and therefore will search for ways to connect with Him. However most will be led to search in wrong places and therefore create idols to worship. This is what has led to many man made religions around the world. Man was left to create a god of his own making.

Soul

The soul is made up of our thoughts, feelings and will. Most people are aware of their thoughts and feelings but yet unable to control them. We are influenced by the things around us and so distracted from the real thing. We desire to be in control and anything that takes this away from us unsettles us. We become controlling of others just to stay in control. We become violent to control others. Most of our dealings with others are from our soul. Manipulation and control is seen everywhere. We feel secure when we are in control. However many fall into desperate times for one can never by happy by controlling others. Fear sets in for you don’t know how long you can control others. Dictators are made like this and fall on their sword.

Faith

God desires us to trust Him and walk by faith. He has provided us a way of escape in the spirit. His word and Spirit work together to transform us into His image. Being transformed into His image is a work of His Spirit in us. We cannot do anything to change us but to trust Him. He who began a work in us will complete it. He is the author and finisher of our faith. The work He does in us is permanent. What is of the soul is temporary. Therefore let us walk by the Spirit and make a permanent home for Him to dwell in us. What we build will be tested and only that which is of the Spirit will last.

Sow In The Spirit, Reap From The Spirit

God created us as a spirit being but few of us sow into the spirit. We are so accustomed to walk in the flesh that we have no consciousness of our spirit. God is Spirit and He communicates with us through His Spirit to our spirit. Most teachers only teach from their soul and so our spirit is malnourished in the things of God. This sorry state is what we see in the church today. Man keeps seeking for things spiritual and because of blindness tap into the demonic realms. This is the danger in delving into other religious or New age teachings. They promise much but little is delivered. Instead they trap us into the occult and so we see the evidence of this in art, theatre and media.

Truth

There is only one truth and that is in Jesus. He said that “No man can come to the Father God but through Me”. This is the truth. Now we can accept it and receive salvation or reject it and be dammed. There are only two options in the spirit world. One is the heavenly and the other is the demonic. This is the reality and this is what Jesus came to reveal to us. Because of spiritual blindness we are attracted by spiritual persuasions as our hearts yearn to know the truth. Once we see, we become new in the Spirit. I once was blind but now I see is so true. Yet this path is just the beginning of the journey to wholeness.

Heavenly Life

Our soul will always be attracted to keep us bound to earth. God wants us to live a heavenly life on earth. However we will resist this because we are so earth bound. Death is the only reality that wakes us up to realise that there is something more than what we see here. When we have this awakening we will pursue all that heaven has in store for us. We will tap into the invisible to make it visible. All the resources in heaven are available to us if we will only believe. Let us today tap into the resources in heaven and live life to the full and not just exist.

Till The Soil Of Your Soul Until It Is Made Whole

The soul is that part of our being that is made up of our thoughts, feelings and will. Our spirit was redeemed when we were born again of the Holy Spirit. Both our soul and body continue to be prone to sin. Our soul is being redeemed though the renewing of our mind. The body is also affected by this renewal. Therefore our soul needs to be renewed to manifest our new nature in the spirit. We are a new creation but manifestation is hindered by our soul which still operates under the influence of the old nature. Many are deceived thinking they are well now that they re born again. No wonder we do not see a difference in behaviour in the church and the wosrld. The missing factor is the need to be tilling our soul.

Tilling

Tilling our soul is to change our thinking to conform with the word of God. When our mind is renewed then our feelings will also be renewed. The word of God is our template for renewal. We need the word of God and the Spirit to bring about change in our soul. This is to work out our salvation. Our position in Christ is established but now our relationship with Him must grow. A child needs milk and as the child grows needs meat to grow. So also we need to grow in our relationship with the Spirit to be like Jesus.

Spirit

In the Spirit we have all things we need to live a holy life. Living in the Spirit is to walk by faith. We can tap into the resources in heaven through His Spirit in us. God will reveal His thoughts to us and we get renewed through this process. This is the only way we can experience the resurrection power of Jesus. There is no other way to transformation. Our soul needs to experience death to experience life. We must die to our old self and be renewed in the new. This is the goal of our salvation. Let us today walk in the Spirit and be renewed to be like Jesus.

Walking In The Spirit Is The Only Way To Die To The Flesh

Spiritual insight is to be able to see through the eyes of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit indwells each believer and provides the way of escape from the thoughts and intents of our soul. Our soul is still prone to sin in thought, word and deed. Our spirit has been redeemed and is the dwelling place for the Holy Spirit. Therefore to walk in the spirit is to walk in unity with the Holy Spirit. God has provided for us a Comforter and Guide who will see us through our journey on earth till we leave planet earth to be with Him forever. This is His promise and He has come to dwell within us to help us with our walk.

Soulish Walk

Our soul which is our thoughts, feelings and will are so influenced by the world around us. We compromise ourselves in our walk when we walk according to the demands of our flesh. This is why many believers find themselves conflicted within themselves. They want to walk according to the Spirit but find themselves powerless to do so. The only way out is to surrender all to the Lord and stop sitting on the fence. It is time to make a commitment to either follow the Lord or give into our fleshly desires. Our fleshly desires lead to death. Following the Holy Spirit leads to life.

Spirit Led Walk

God is calling the sheep to enter into the fullness He has prepared for all who desire to follow Him. There is no place for compromise. There is a yes or a no and we have to decide who we will follow. This is where our will decides to follow the Holy Spirit or not. When we decide to follow Him we receive power to do according to His Spirit,His will. It is a battle of wills and this is where we face warfare. Come today and let us be led by the Holy Spirit and enter into the land of His promises.
