Bethel Church pastor Havilah Cunnington reveals the objective of the enemy in our lives and why he wants to steal everything away from us.
Havilah Cunnington
In a conference, Havilah shared eye-opening truths about the enemy and his objectives in our lives. She referenced John 10:10 which reads: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
Havilah then revealed that the objective of the enemy is to steal everything from us.
“The enemy’s objective in our life is to take from us not because He wants it, but because He has a compulsive desire to have it,” Havilah said.
Objective of the Enemy
The word “steal” in the Scripture means “klepto” in Greek. It is where the word “kleptomania” came from and it is the compulsive desire to steal. The enemy wants to take your relationships, your finances, and your health, just because he wants to take it from you. And he is using all of this to shake your faith.
“We’re going to hit hard things not because we’ve done anything wrong but because we live in a fallen world. The Bible says ‘it reigns on the just and the unjust,’ which means just because you love God doesn’t mean you’re not going to face hard things. God doesn’t say He’ll deliver us from hard things, He says ‘I’ll walk with you.’”
God’s promise for all of us is that He’ll always be with us though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. When dealing with the schemes of the enemy, do not fear, for God is with you!
