A 13-year-old boy from the Philippines is going viral with his stay-at-home rendition of Planetshakers’ “Endless Praise”.
Rock Opong is a passionate 13-year-old musician from Iloilo City, Philippines. What makes him different from other young musicians is that this teenager is a lover of Jesus.

In contrast to what we see among the youth of his age nowadays, Rock is living his life glorifying God through his God-given talent.

On March 16, the Philippines Government ordered an “Enhanced Community Quarantine” (ECQ) to some parts of the country due to coronavirus. And since then, the young leader has been spreading hope and positivity to the people through Facebook. Apparently, he has been encouraging his viewers with Bible verses and singing praise and worship songs for them.
Endless Praise
In a recent video that went viral, he shared his acoustic rendition of “Endless Praise” by Planetshakers. The video made Rock appear like he has a twin. He edited the video to combine the melody and harmony of his voice while playing his acoustic guitar. It has now almost 400,000 views with 20,000 shares and over 900 comments. A lot of people commended the young musician.
Rock captioned the post, “Endless Praise | Planetshakers | Cover | Rooftop”. It reveals that he has been doing the cover of his songs in the rooftop of their house. He starts or ends his video saying, “Stay home. Stay safe and God bless.”
Hope Amidst Pandemic
What’s more is that in one of his videos, he encouraged everyone to fix our eyes on Jesus. This was when he sang Israel Houghton’s “In Jesus’ Name.” Also, he said, “Despite the coronavirus pandemic, we still need to be strong in our faith towards Jesus.” Rock dedicated a song for the frontliners of today’s global pandemic as well.
Rock is certainly not your ordinary teenager browsing the internet or playing video games all day. He is among the youth the LORD called to rise up in this generation. He was born for such a time as this! Praise God for this young man’s life.
