Homeless Man Stops Stolen Fire Truck Amidst Police Chase And Displays God’s Love

A homeless man displays Christ’s unconditional love to a suspect who stole a fire truck and convinced him to surrender to authorities.

In Anaheim, California, a man suddenly stole a fire truck unloading a patient from a vehicle. According to Captain Greg Barta of the Orange County Fire Department, the Orange County fire truck 85 dropped off a patient around 1:40 AM at the UC-Irvine Medical Center. The two firefighter-paramedics were transferring the patient, and the captain engineer was busy when someone took truck 85.

“Our captain engineer was busy loading the gear back onto the rig. And at that point, someone took truck 85 and stole it and started driving away from the hospital,” detailed one officer.

Police Chase Ends At Homeless Man Stopping Suspect

The suspect then was on the run, chased by the police, and passed through several Orange County communities. Until he was forced to stop in Anaheim near Ball Road and Brookhurst Street around three in the morning because of a homeless man.

Richard Lynn, a homeless guy who saw the commotion, jumped onto the scene and intervened. He bravely stood in front of the truck to stop him from running away. The suspect tried to escape and maneuver the truck, but the homeless man stood his ground. Then he tried to convince him through the windshield to surrender to authorities. And their negotiation lasted around 20 minutes.

A witness, Mitch Fecler, took a snapshot of the incredible moment. He recalled, “It’s just crazy how the homeless guy walked up and in front of the fire truck and started talking to him through the windshield. And I got a really good picture on my phone and everything.”

Then he added, “They just kept telling him, please get out of the truck. We don’t want to hurt you. And finally, the guy opened the door and surrendered peacefully.”

According to the report, the brave man stepped up because “he didn’t want to see the suspect get hurt.” But indeed, no one really got hurt during the incident.

Praise God for the homeless man’s Christlike compassion!

Florida Pastor Invites People Who Stole His Car To Church For A Special Reason

A Florida pastor invited the people who stole his car to church for a special reason.

On February 12, celebrity pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr.’s car was stolen right from his driveway. Two days later, on Valentine’s day, his car was found abandoned. The investigation showed that there were probably three people responsible for the theft. The VOUS Church pastor had a message to those who stole his car.

“Whoever you are that took our car,” Wilkerson said. “We love you. We’re for you, and thank you for leaving it somewhere that we could find it.”

The challenge

The Florida pastor then challenged them to stop the crimes that they are doing.

“Here’s the deal. I want to challenge you right now,” he added. “If you keep doing stuff like this, life is not going to be good for you. You’re going to spend probably forever in prison.”

He then invited them to come to the VOUS Church on Sunday to accept an offer for an internship he would be providing.

“So here’s a challenge, We want to give you an opportunity,” Pastor Rich said. “I’m going to let you be an intern at VOUS Church for three months. Now, listen, I will not pay you. You did steal my car, but for three months I’m going to intern and mentor you, and I actually believe if you give us three months of your life, your life will change, you’ll be on a much, much better path, and I think you can take this really bad thing that happened and we can turn it into a good thing.”

Pastor Rich is not pressing charges, instead, he wants to show love.

“So if you stole my car, it’s all good, bro,” he concluded. “Thanks for leaving the stroller, that was very kind of you, but we love you! Come to church this Sunday…”
