Have you found yourself in a spot where you question what God is doing with your life?
Here is the truth: your story with God is one of the most valuable aspects of your life together. Though it may be easy to feel unsure of where you might be going, it’s important to not let your emotions lead you. A simple, yet effective key to feeling empowered in your story with God and not letting anxiety lead you is remembering your testimony.
What Has God Brought You Out Of?
Practicing remembering with the Holy Spirit. A great way to make this tangible is writing your story. Set a 30 minute timer this week and ask yourself these questions: What did my life look and feel like before encountering God? What core healing did my heart receive when I surrendered to the Lord? How am I different because of this?
By writing these details out, you may find yourself remembering aspects of your life that you forgot. The Holy Spirit will begin to minister to your Heart, empowering you to be emboldened from your testimony.
How Can You Share Your Testimony?
The power of testimony is its invitation into experiencing God’s goodness. Don’t fall for the lies that say the freedom, joy, or peace of knowing God in your life is not impactful. Make it a point to share you testimony with your friends and family.
An incredible gift of life with Jesus is that there is always a deeper place He wants to take you into. Your testimony is still unfolding, regardless if you have been walking with the Lord 6 months or 60 years. Revisit this writing exercise when you want to root yourself in God’s power in your life. Better yet, meet with a small group of friends and do this activity together.
