Christians and non-believers gathered in the streets of Wisconsin amid violent riots taking place.
Streets Of Wisconsin
It all began in June at the memorial site of George Floyd in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Dr. Charles and Pastor Lindsay Karuko with the International Outreach Church in Burnsville, Minnesota initiated the movement. The event eventually replaced the street riots with street worship and healing!
“MIRACLES IN KENOSHA: A massive move of God. Salvation, healing, racial reconciliation, and awesome baptisms on the streets. Riot to Revival. Glory to God!!! Let the healing begin,” Dr. Charles wrote on his Facebook post.
Riots to Revival
Dr. Charles took his passion to see “Riots To Revival” to the streets to help heal hearts and minds with the power of the Gospel message. People were praying, worshiping, and being baptized right in the street!
“Buildings were still burning, there was smoke and the National Guard had been called in,” Pastor Lindsey said in June. “But now there is a lot of peace in the area where George Floyd’s memorial is. It’s been declared as sacred and holy ground, worship and salvation and true reconciliation between people of all different colors.”
Worship, Baptism and Healing
As the event was taking place, testimonies of healing were being reported, including a woman who lived across the street who was watching the event on Facebook live. While baptisms were taking place, the woman, came forward to testify how God healed her. She was just a spectator who now is a believer.
“And she felt God or something tells her ‘she had the better answer and get her butt over here’ is how she phrased it,” Eileen Berglund, one of the witnesses, said. “So she kind of hobbled over here. She wasn’t doing well. And then, she got baptized and worshipped with us. And then 20 minutes ago, she told us, ‘Oh, my back pain is completely gone.”
This moment is an example of how God can turn evil into good. Let us continue to take our battles into the spiritual realm and claim the victory of God. God can turn any mess into a message!
