On March 8, ahead of the release of her upcoming self-titled album, Lauren dropped her first single “Thank God I Do” from it. The song was inspired by the season the artist went through during the COVID-19 lockdowns and uncertainties. In that journey, the award-winning Christian singer-songwriter learned a very important lesson from the Lord.
“God puts very specific people in your life for a very specific reason. And I needed the people in my life at that time around me to keep my head above the water,” Lauren shared.

“Thank God I Do”
While in lockdown for several months, Lauren launched several girl groups to stay in touch with friends, even just on Zoom. It allowed her to keep in touch with friends she has not seen in a while. Lauren is thankful to God for her relationship with Him and for providing her with the right people she needed during those times.
“Thank God I Do” chorus sings:
I don’t know who I’d be
If I didn’t know you
I’d probably fall off the edge.
I don’t know where I’d go
If you ever let go
So keep me held in your hands.
I don’t know who I’d be
If I didn’t know you.
Thank God I do.
Lauren’s self-titled album is set to be released in two parts. The first part will drop on May 12 and the later part will be released later this year. Five days after the unveiling of the song, it now has over 528,000 views on YouTube. Fans are expecting that her upcoming album will be a huge hit just like any other of her past albums.
